Great beer selection, warm and inviting place. We came in tonight as a group of 5, including two toddlers. Even though it was a Saturday night, everyone from the wait staff to the owner himself was very attentive and accommodating. When one picky kid wasn't eating the pizza, the owner made him a special small cheese pizza to try. The pizza we had was on a thin whole wheat crust, with fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes. Very tasty, not greasy or too filling. The beer list was good and the Bulls game was on. We will definitely be coming back! read more

CONS Waitstaff does not give you a fresh glass when you order another beer, instead you are left with your previous glass. Waitstaff does not come by to clear your table, I had 3 empty beers and plates left on my table. Training is needed! The worst customer service I have ever experienced ordering a pizza! Two weeks ago I ordered a simple four ingredient pizza , arrived one hour an half later with the wrong ingredients ice cold after we ordered! When we called back Mária the bartender (who took the order over the phone) she put us on hold for a good 10 minutes to talked to the owner & insured us that the next Pizza is going to be on them because of the mistake that have been made by them ! After two weeks we called back and explained to the owner what happened he just didn't want to acknowledge the past mistake and blame it on the bartender and said that she shouldn't make decisions like that and he will not get us a replacement pie instead he will take half off of the next purchase of a pizza! And when we told him that's not what we was promised he just simply hang up on us! Terrible customer service never will return to this establishment and I surely let know all of our neighbors and friends not to order from this poorly managed enterprise!!! read more

SPACE. We stopped in for dinner here last night, hoping it might be a winner since we live so close. The place is small, but they've maximized the space well. There are plenty of TVs to watch games from any angle of the restaurant. Decor is simple but pleasant. The lighting is very nice. Overall, I like the ambiance. FOOD. The menu is limited to just a few things in each category, which I assumed meant that they are focused on doing just a few things well. We started with jalapeño poppers, which the hubby always likes to sample when it's on a menu. They came wrapped in bacon, whole, with cream cheese tucked inside. They seemed to be oven baked, not fried. Points for the departure from the standard popper. Our bartender/server described them as not that hot/spicy. Unfortunately for me, I only had one bite---too spicy with that lingering burn. Perhaps more seeds should be discarded? Hubby ate three of the four on the plate, sweating through them. He liked them but they were too hot. The one plus was the value received. They were hearty in size. Hubby also had a draft beer that he said didn't taste quite right. Something was "off" about it, so he opted for his second drink in a more reliable bottle. We also ordered the pizza, with pepperoni, onion, garlic and Roma tomatoes. We both liked the crispy cracker crust, but couldn't find any flavor in the cheese/sauce. Not kidding. No flavor. No herbs/spices. Thankfully I was able to save some bites with the pepperoni, but I also had to rely on dumping a ton of Parmesan cheese on it to get through. I would enjoy a good frozen pizza over this, so even though I finished I was quite disappointed---which really shouldn't happen when they highlight pizza in their name. SERVICE. Our server didn't wow us either. When it came time for the bill, she dropped it off and then disappeared for over ten minutes, within full view of us, chatting with the manager and staff and then focusing on choosing a bunch of songs from the jukebox. Finally we flagged down a different server to have her ring us up. We gave the server 20 percent, but she didn't earn it in full. 40.00 plus tax made me think of the sushi we could have eaten at our go-to spot in LaGrange. SUMMARY. IMHO this place has a way to go before it is in the clear as a long-term fixture in the neighborhood. If it remains the same, I give it 6 months before people realize that it is really just a bar trying to masquerade as something else. read more

Impressed with what they did with the space. Complete turnaround. Its spacious and comfortable. Nice beer selection and REALLY good veggies (kale and broccoli!). Pizza was cracker-y but pretty good for type. Avocado bruschetta was a generous portion. Great local corner joint. Limited draft beer selection, but plenty of choices for dinner or an after work stop. The crotons are made in house and are soft and chewy like pretzel bread. The pizza was hearty with a chewy crust and a thick slightly sweet sauce. Plenty of cheese. Giving this place 5 stars simply because of the Avocado Bruschetta. It Was AMAZING!!! I seriously haven't had anything like that before anywhere else. We also ordered the spinach lasagna which is definitely worth ordering again. However, the lobster grilled cheese did not impress. It came with grilled onions and tomatoes which just did not go together. Lose the tomatoes, less onions and more cheese and it would have been perfect. I love this place. I'm here almost once a week (usually Sat for $3 Lagunitas). The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and fun people. Their beer and drink selections and specials are highly respectable. And did I mention they make some damn good food? Their pizzas are cut in the old school giant triangle way, and even offer a lobster topped pizza! My ultimate favorite though are the jalapeño poppers, stuffed with cream cheese (hate cheddar) and wrapped in thick tasty bacon, served with a wickedly divine cucumber sauce for dipping. There is a bit more on the menu but I can't pass the poppers and the pizza! I've been eyeing the lobster mac and cheese though. So it goes without further saying how much I recommend this place (open till 1 am), and maybe if you can identify me on a Saturday night I'll buy you a beer! Lol read more

Our family of four ate here the first week it was open. The waitstaff was very attentive and informed about the menu. They kept our drinks full and cleared empty dishes away quickly. Being someone that used to order Dr. Pizza ALL the time growing up I hoped this place would be good. Despite my dad hating everything, he, along with all of us, REALLY enjoyed the pizza. We will be ordering out again! Many of the poor reviews seem to target the dine in experience so maybe this is a place you pick up (we ordered out). First visit and the food was outstanding! We had the lobster grilled cheese. It came with soup (stuffed green pepper soup) and French fries. We substituted tater tots for the fries. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and we will be sure to go there again. Prices were very reasonable and the amount of food we got was more than we could finish. Something, I think the sauce, tasted notably sweet and it felt like they did the very bare minimum needed to make it pizza. Sauce, cheese, pepperoni. No spices or seasoning at all really. The actual setting was pretty cool, definitely something for younger people although the music should've been turned down just a tad. Probably good if you go in, with friends, and drink a little.
