The day started with a trip to Costco, a big mistake when your hungry. After working up an appetite shopping we decided to try some place new in the area. A search on YELP for trendy restaurants that were close, revealed this little gem. The place is located in a little strip type mall where parking is limited to about 12 spots. I believe there is additional parking on the adjacent side street which should be very adequate. Upon entering you appreciate the large full bank of windows letting in a ton of sunshine, the numerous TV's mounted, and the exposed brick walls. Seated ourselves and were quickly greeted by Mario who was doing double duty as the bartender and waiter. Mario brought drinks out promptly and made some small talk. The owner ( Chris) who was overseeing the operation himself and busing tables stopped by to see if we needed anything. The service and attention from the staff was outstanding. We ordered the grilled wings which were huge and delicious. The Veggie side was amazing, super well seasoned mix of fresh greens and mushrooms with Greek olive oil and Greek wine. The grilled calamari over greens was very good, flavorful and not rubbery as when over cooked. The local craft beer on tap was a special and only 2.50 which was an added bonus. This place was a huge surprise for a Sports type bar and grill, gourmet type food and dedicated owner and staff. The one disappointment was the pizza. The ingredients are all fresh and didn't appear to be anything canned or frozen with excellent fresh cheese. The crust appeared to be a pre made store bought and the sauce was lacking of any seasoning or flavor. DO NOT let my opinion of the pizza flavor stop you from trying this place, because the ingredients were still quality and the over all experience was fantastic. read more

I went in and order the grilled wings a week ago. They were great. Today, November 21st, my husband ordered the same wings and they were horrible. I don't know what happened but it wasn't the same. I bragged to my husband how great they were and he bought these home and I was not expecting this. read more

Grubhub orders: The grilled lobster and cheese is what piqued my interest, so I said why not and It was pretty good. I've also had the jumbo grilled wings, grilled calamari, chicken Caesar salad, avocado bruschetta, fries and pasta. This food strikes me as the perfect bar food...you know, the stuff you want snack on, and because it tastes pretty decent you keep snacking on it and even order for lunch, occasionally. I have to say everything I've had has been pretty decent. I imagine the small menu allows them to focus and perfect their dishes. I have yet to visit them in person, but that is my next step. My only suggestion is to improve your packing and delivery, i.e.the chicken wings are wonderfully doused in a sauce that unfortunately leaks and renders the bag a soggy mess upon delivery. Perhaps wrapping your items in plastic or place in a plastic bag and then in paper would help; AND less garlic on the bruschetta. uff I was repelling vampires and people for days after I ate it. Let me just say that I've never been so immersed in a restaurant EVER in my life !! You walk through the door and you are greeted like you've been a long time customer (even if it really is your first time) sounds silly but from the get go you feel welcomed. The owner Chris is charismatic,energetic and actually involved with the customers ,which is huge because most owners are in and out and allow someone else to take over but no Chris. He is there from the moment they bring these impressive wings out to the very end when your stomach is filled with wings,pizza in beer !!! If your looking for great food,great people ,great drinks and friendly service LOOK NO FURTHER !!!! We ordered a sausage and veggie pizza (green peppers, onions and mushrooms). Was VERY impressed with the fresh ingredients and pleasantly surprised by it's supreme quality!!! We wanted a new take out experience.... we were totally overwhelmed with this gem. I was going to a store on Cermak and Harlem, so I planned ahead and googled Cermak Berwyn North Riverside. Sliccily had such a great review that we just had to try them. Inside the place is cozy and great for a celebration. All the ingredients were fresh. Walked in around 930 for a late night snack. The be really wanted pizza n everything closes early around us so we decided to try this place out. I was exactly sure what to expect when we walked in. It looks more like a bar than a restaurant. There were just a few ppl slitting around the bar. We decided to grab a table. We order an Italian beef n gardinara pizza, caprese salad n some cheese fries. Salad didn't come 1st but that's ok because I didn't specify but a good waitress would have asked (I'm in the industry,so I should know). The bartender, who may be the owner, nice guy came n let's us know that they don't actually have cheese fries but they melted cheese on top of the fries. He also mentioned the Thursday Taco special to us. Our waitress did not. After hearing about it I decided to try them since I really wasn't in the mood for pizza. Once everything came out not too shortly after we order, it was great! I really can't complain about a thing. It was all great. The only reason I gave four stars was because of our waitress and the obnoxious threesome that walked in after us n sat at the bar. One lady was so loud yelling about something making some other patrons leave. So all in all good is great but ill probably come back a lil earlier to avoid the drunks. read more

Can in to order a pizza excited about the atmosphere and vibes coming from the pub. Changed quickly after ordering a single pizza to go. Bar staff was unfriendly and quiet and did their best to ignore us. After 40 minutes we asked how much longer the pizza would be as we had a flight to catch. Well it took another 5-10 minutes for the "cook" to come tell us he dropped our pizza and had to remake it. We had seen him drop a pizza in a box that he put on top of an appliance fifteen minutes earlier but they didn't say anything to us so we assumed it wasn't ours. We ordered this pizza tonight as a delivery because it was so cold outside and we did not want to go back out after work. It was not hot when it arrived, and it tasted like mediocre frozen pizza. We also ordered a ceasar salad which was warm and soggy because they mixed the dressing on it (obviously earlier in the day). Both of us were disgusted with the quality of the food. Please do not order from here. Paisans in downtown Brookfield is much better and tastier. I have lived in the area a long time and wanted to try something new. I have learned to stick with a good thing when you have it! read more
