I love this place. The ambiance isn't anything special but the ingredients are top-tier. Plus it's never busy when I've gone. I absolutely love that I can order a pizza-box size of fries. Plus the ranch is ELITE. Truly a hidden gem.

Been here three times. First time food and experience was spectacular! Food and customer service way beyond expectation. Last couple of times not as much but, food quality still good and fries were hot perfect for the ride home. When done correctly their Italian meat sandwich is the best I've had. This is the way 'Eegee's' should be! Thanks for coming to the Eastside now put one further east!

Ir was just ok....Attempting to satisfy my craving of the history of me and Eegees before corporate overtake. Really just wanted sift bread and true ranch. The pizza was good sandwich was just ok

Found out it's an old Eegees type of place. Sandwiches were great and frozen drinks Braun freeze worthy! Stop in and have a treat!

Saw this place on Reddit and was intrigued. Lived in Tucson area since a kid and found out it had an original owner of Eegees. I never cared for the drink but the sandwiches and fries from E were good. It didn't have a ham n cheese so was disappointed. Decided on Turkey, Ham, and cheese with fries. The fries were ok except it hot. The bread on sandwich was ok nothing special. Not enough sauce on sandwich so I had to dunk it in the ranch The service was pretty quick, so that is something. The decor is standard fast food.

I've been curious about this place and finally gave it a try. Upon walking in I noticed the layout was open and inviting so I ate in. I appreciated that the service was quick and employees were friendly. There's a good variety of food options from hot links to chicken sandwiches which made it difficult to choose which to try because I was interested in a few. The price point is good as well, especially for the quality and quantity. I ate the Chicken Parmesan Round sandwich and it was good. My favorite part was the flavor. I would get it again but not until I try more of the other many options :)

This place is great for a fast casual meal. I got the Italian meatball sub with cheese and peppers. I also got some garlic fries crispy. Both were generous portions and could have been too meals, but I was unable to resist finishing the fries. The peppers and onions were great to go with the sub.

The ice was refreshing on this 100 degree day that was about it . 2 of 3 ice flavors were ok stay away from the ice tea one !!! The strawberry lemonade and watermelon were pleasant no dyes or flavorings added . The menus needs to clearly show what is on the pizza .As a first time costumer I had many questions non were answered with confidence .when I got my food I then asked if this was right trying to understand why I revived this blue chess's pizza . They weren't very helpful as I was blown away with the response while the 2 worker's turn start speaking a different language completely disregarding my experience with the awful food . I though I could at lest be happy with French fries but they even had zero flavor absolutely no salt what so ever and when I went to the register to get assistance the worker was more focused on putting in there own personal order for break in that it made the own situation akward .

Slice and Ice really is how eegees used to be when I was a kid. What I remember The sandwich's and fries are bomb. I personally didn't care that much for the pizza. But the fries, sandwiches, and ice beverages are great. The service was a typical fast food restaurant. The price was good. The ambiance itself is a typical fast food restaurant. Would return and recommend.

It's a nice little shop on the Westside. I discovered it when the Tucson Foodie Facebook recommended it as an alternative to Eegee's. Not bad, but I still prefer Eegee's grinders. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a grinder, and a drink. Total out the door was $16.85. I'll get the bad out of the way first. The pizza slice. While it's actually pretty good, it's the thinnest slice I've ever been served in my life. My first impression that this wasn't going to be very good but it actually had lots of good flavor. The other problem is the cornmeal (?) they use on the bottom. It turns black and you get it all over your hands. The crust isn't black, just the cornmeal. It's so messy that it actually got under my fingernails and I'm still trying to get it all out. They technically don't have a grinder but they have a 3-meat sandwich that acts like a grinder with the dressing and all that. It was pretty good. The bread is toasted by fresh and the ingredients tasted fresh. I got mine without olives because that's how I roll. Nice alternative to Eegee's, but, like I said, I think I still prefer Eegee's. The change was nice, tho. It's a free standing building which is easy to find. Plenty of parking. Friendly service. There's a soda dispenser so you get all the refills you want. The place is clean. Overall good atmosphere. I live on the Eastside and with traffic it took me about 45 minutes to get there. Would I do that again? Probably not. But if I were in the area I'd stop by again. It's pretty good overall.

We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside.

Came about a year ago and it was one of my favorites so had to come back and check! Glad to see the huge pizza oven is still going strong and the service staff was all friendly and welcoming! Ordered: - Caesar salad: decent flavor, greens weren't very fresh though (browning ends of lettuce) - Margherita DOP: unbeaten classic. More basil would have helped the balance but all in all still good - Diavola + Arugula + Calabrian chili: the added greens and chili made each bite just a little fresher. - Carne: as expected, there was a good amount of meat. Unfortunately, the amount of grease left the pie very soggy. Still good flavor. - Carbonara: Egg was a good add to flavor but the texture was very rubbery. Decent white pie but also sits very heavy compared to the others - Piccante: nice and spicy All in all, a good experience for pies in the Tucson area. All the pies were good but felt like something was missing in each one. Unfortunately, didn't stack up to the previous experience here. Cheers, Pizza Fiamme!

We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.

Food arrived just 15 min later and was piping hot and delicious. The lasagna is a good sized portion (roughly 5x7) and is generously filled with meat. Taste is amazing with medium-firm pasta and a nice crust across the top and sides. The ricotta calzone came with a side of marinara (yay) for dipping as there is no sauce inside. Roughly 2 dozen toppings are available, ranging from $3-$8+. I opted for the meatballs ($8.50) and was slightly disappointed. The meatballs are crumbled within the calzone (understandable) but not pronounced in quantity. I would prefer larger pieces (halves work at this size - after all I ordered meat-ball not meet-ground ;) However, for $8 (a 75% upcharge) my chief gripe is that I was simply expecting more. This is entirely understandable as even one no-show is a measurable hit to keeping a full house. I also have kids yet 100% embrace their patio-only policy when with kiddos. This literal mom/pop venue (they have kids too) tries to do the impossible balance between clientele and intimate, high-end dining (we simply accommodate by getting take out when feeding the Whole family ;)

I enjoyed trying it here but will probably not get it more than once at that price per serving size. They serve it with cheese typically but I asked for no cheese to make it vegan. The guy that took my order at the window seemed very confused/ weirded out when I asked if they charge a fee to pay with credit card. He also didn't think to mention they don't have disposable silverware for to go order (my pannisa was drenched in sauce- delicious but I definitely ended up going inside to eat it with a fork). Another staff member seemed more pleasant though and more willing to answer basic questions politely. On another earlier visit I tried their focaccia. The jam was good too, maybe a tad sweet for me though. It reminded me a tad of sweet and sour sauce. They have a margarita pizza without cheese available on the menu too.
