Pizza and side mixed greens salad

Pizza pizza, yes please! Slice, slice, yes please! Was working nearby for the day and needed a quick lunch break. This was perfect! Located in a really cool marketplace but with it's own entrance and little corner space, there are 4 sets for 4+ seaters and some 2 seaters. I would have LOVED to sit outdoors but there was only 1 umbrella. Bummer! My pizza was delicious. And the extra bonus was that they had a small mixed greens salad to balance all the protein on my slice. What made this marketplace even better was the plentiful amounts of parking available for free in the back. It made me think of San Mateo. Love a little "Peninsula coolness" in the east bay. Good job, Castro Valley!

Tasty pizza place! My husband and I tried the NY style Purple Potato and Walker's White Pie slices. Both were so good! I only wish they had more individual slice options available. I wanted to try the Hot Honey and Cal Italia slice, but were only available as a whole pie. I'd still come back to try other slices and possibly order a box or two. The restaurant is located in downtown Castro Valley as part of a food hall. There's limited street parking but a few nearby parking lots available. There's limited seating inside but plenty outside. The staff was nice, attentive and fast.

They have so many locations all over! They have really well made affordabke pizza here and you cannot go wrong with any of them. We got the Hawaiian Hitman today and it reslly hit the spot!

Where to begin. I genuinely would come to slice house once a week when frequenting the Castro Valley marketplace. The pizza options in terms of slices and pies were great. Ive noticed a shift where dam near every single slice option has bacon/ ham/ pork options. I do not eat any type of pork and its disappointing that it's become the case. Ive also noticed this at other slice house locations. I used to really enjoy the Big Papa that they took off the menu and replaced with a similar option that includes pork. Every week I check the slice house line up options and maybe 1 (basic cheese) are non-ham eating friendly. The Bay Area is a diverse place. Would recommend some market research on the diverse groups and eating habits of those that live in and frequent the locations. Authentic pizza can be made that doesnt require every option to include pork. I know they have other menu options but sometimes you dont want to buy a whole pie.

Amazing pizza as usual High quality ingredients, great for a quick eat, and consistently good.

I dropped by for a quick lunch today and the gentleman who took our order recommended a delicious slice for my family. Thank you very much to Ricardo's recommendation! This is a super clean and organized local pizza shop inside the Castro Valley Marketplace. Come and check them out!

My kiddos favorite pizza. They have slices most of the day but I recommend the whole pies for better quality. This is our usual delivery spot so we don't eat in much. This location is a part of a food hall with a grocery store and some other small food spots. A cheese pizza will run you close to $30 but based on the pizza in the area it's worth it. Service depends on the day. Clearly cookies are not their specialty!

I feel like from the times I've had Slice House, you can never go wrong for a quick slice on the go. They have a variety of pizzas you can choose from. They have vegan and gluten free pizzas but sadly those don't come in slices. Hoping and crossing fingers they're able to provide that option in the near future! They're located in the Castro Valley Marketplace that has so many things you can do while you wait for your pizza to be prepared. They sale drinks like fountain sodas and also alcoholic drinks like beer and wine.

My pizza slices of choice were the Wiseguy and the BBQ Chicken (Friday Pizza of the Day, NY style). Both slices were delicious and HUGE! I believe each slice was only $6.50. Service was friendly and fast. In addition, I ordered a cannoli, but the cream was just ok. Here's What I Think ... This is a good spot to go if you want something a little different than your local pizza shop. The prices are reasonable and the slices are huge. I'll be back. If you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for pizza, give Slice House a try.

We recently tried Slice House in Castro Valley and were really impressed. We ordered a Sicilian-size pepperoni and sausage pizza along with a large Hawaiian pizza, and both were solid choices. The pizza itself is really good, especially the crust--perfect texture and flavor. One thing I loved about the Hawaiian pizza is that the pineapple is thinly sliced, not those chunky tidbits that keep falling off. It makes a huge difference and keeps every bite balanced. Portions are generous, and the serving size is definitely great value for the money. We also ordered the cannoli, and it was pretty good--nice way to end the meal. The shop is located inside the Castro Valley Marketplace, which makes it a convenient stop. On top of the food, the service was awesome. Shoutout to Collin--he was friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

Great place with yummy pizza. I waited a little bit to give a review because I wanted them to sort out their workflows and I can say the improvement is great. Early on I would show up and my pizza would be ready but I was not told nor was it out for me to find. I can say they now consistently call names, ask me what my name is when I walk in, and I have a great take out, delivery, or dine in meal. I really love the creativity of the pizza options and the option to have multiple types of crust size. My favorite is the Cal Italia! The saltiness of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the drizzle make it the best! They have some good happy hour rotations daily and the hot oil is delish. One day I wanna try some pasta but for now, I'm sticking to the za :) They have rotational slices daily so you can try something new each time. I'm excited to pick out my free birthday slice this week!

New to the area and wanting to…read moresupport local spots, we went in with an open mind after seeing the post about the Dublin location closing down after 27 years. We ordered the lasagna, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and rigatoni bolognese, solid classic Italian comfort food. (The lasagna was my favorite of the three though my wife thought frozen lasagna from Grocery Outlet tastes better.) The self-serve bread bar was a nice touch and a hit with the kids. The dining room had a relaxed, low-key vibe, not too crowded for a Saturday, which meant no wait and plenty of room for our family. Food was fine; nothing that especially stood out, but nothing wrong with it either. Comparable entrees all run about $19, and with self-serve water and bread bar, service felt pretty hands-off; the woman checked-in with us just once during the whole meal. In contrast, we've also recently eaten at 88BaoBao, which is another counter-service type of restaurant but comparable entrees run about $11-$14. Despite being the "cheaper, no-frills" option, the young teen waiter/server/bus boy came by repeatedly to check in on us, refilled our water multiple times, and even noticed our daughter was cold and closed the door for us. My wife, who almost never tips extra, went back after the meal just to hand him an additional tip. That contrast made the value gap at Rigstoni's stand out more than it might have otherwise. The restaurant itself was pleasant enough and not too crowded, which was nice for our family, but at a higher price point with more hands-off service, it didn't feel like it justified a 20% tip the way a place doing more for us did. Still hoping Rigatoni's finds its footing, we like having good options nearby. ________ Non-Asian restaurants versus Asian restaurants in Castro Valley. *don't know who the owner at Rigatoni's is and the staff seems to be Latin. *I would assume 88BaoBao has Chinese owners and the outstanding service was from a Caucasian, maybe Hapa teenager with glasses working there.

Now with kiddos, we stopped by for a quick meal after a weekend event with a big group. We were able to grab seating right away and order at the register/grab our numbers. I miss a complimentary bread bar, and Rigatoni's has never failed with that :) Service is friendly and our meals came out accordingly. A few standout comforting dishes: the Rigatoni Bolognese, Broccoli & Chicken Rigatoni, Cheese Ravioli, House Made Lasagna, and the Fettuccine Alfredo to name a few. The lasagna comes with a rich meat sauce, but what I love about the rigatoni bolognese is that it comes in a cream sauce which is just so tasty. There's a little something for everyone on the menu here. They have a kiddo menu, sandos, salads and other starters, and combo meals for a smaller-sized entrée, a soda, and choice of starter soup or salad. They have soups and sauces to-go, and appears they do parties/catering. Rigatoni's will always have a special place in my heart ~ it's a pretty straight-forward establishment that does the trick. Parking can be found in the adjacent shopping center, pricing is fair.

Did not acknowledge special event even though the birthday was listed on the reservations which I can overlook but this would be a great way to deliver a great experience. They seem to have too many rules in place and not enough freedom for staff to make things right. We didn't want to send anything back when the dish was not up to par. But we informed them of the situation afterwards. They took the plate back and asked the head chef to taste it and they credited the remaining food that wasn't consumed. This is policy but does not accomplish anything. First, they did not inform us of the decision. Second, I would prefer they didn't credit anything if they're not crediting the entire dish since it makes it seem like they are upset we complained by only crediting what was not eaten. For this price range ~$100 per person I would assume a higher bar. It's not the outcome that matters but how the guest feels after the experience. Was money happily spent should be the question they ask. I would have preferred an apology from the head chef. When I'm spending $100 per person I get best wishes from the waitstaff and a healthy pour of champagne for celebratory drinks on the house to start off the experience. This is common practice and expected. An extra dessert only after we ordered dessert falls flat and seems meaningless. It should have been delivered before we were asked if we wanted desserts. Offering after we ordered desserts makes me feel they wouldn't have given anything if we didn't spend money on desserts already. There was a possible step to save the service delivery when they were out of ice wine - comp the port - which wasn't done either. Many blunders with the service but I would go back - not for special occasions, though. Maybe just for business lunches - less personal experiences would be acceptable. Drinks were acceptable though and I would like to try their wine list.
