Love their pizza. By the slice or the whole pie. So delicious here.

Such incredible pizza. I love it here. The employees are amazing and to have a great slice or whole pizza is worthy of entering the door. HeHe Enjoy the Pizza and order some of the knots for your side.

Time and time again proves to be a consistently delicious pie! Their Tuesday $12.99 large cheese pizza is unbeatable and delicious right out of the oven! The line will probably be long during popular meal times but highly recommend.

2/14/25 Ate List: Slice of Cheese - 6.4 Slice of Pepperoni - 6.7 A local pizza chain clearly in a "NY pizza spot cosplay." The slices would not measure up to those truly from NYC. However, as an affordable spot and one that actually serves slices, not just full pies, it's not the worst option. In a pinch, this is a good option for bang for your buck and I think is cheaper and better than some of the other "fast food" options locally.

Fast great service. $4 a slice. Good vibe. Will come again. Great thin slice pizza. Plenty of seating.

The food needs a lot of improvement and less making up stories. My stomach was feeling queasy and I read somewhere "slice on Broadway #1 cheese pizza" so I thought I'd give it a try. Bad decision. I have no idea what kind of cheese they used but it was tasteless. And the crust? Horrible! Also flavorless and hard. Couldn't even chew the end crust it was hard and unappetizing. Even my favorite steak& onion rolls were very dry and to make matters worse I asked for 3 red sauces and they sold (at $2.45) me all ranch which I cant stand! Goodbye Slice On Broadway!!

How in the world does this place ONLY have a 3 1/2 / 5 ? This place was, by far, one of the TOP PIZZA places I have ever had (1) & in Pittsburgh (2). Outside of Mineo's, this was one place I felt so happy to eat at !!!! My sister ordered us the margherita. The slice portions were VERY generous, and the fresh basil alongside mozzarella cheese was the RIGHT combo. I will be back and hope you all give this place a raving review. Definitely underrated!

If you're looking for thin-crust New York City style pizza in Pittsburgh, this is one of the best options.

Five per order. Get these. Semolina crusted zucchini: yummy. Like someone dared a chef to take a normally healthy vegetable and render it in a way like on to junk food and chef said, "challenge accepted!" One slice of the pepperoni cut in half is still enough food. Delicious. The crust is really good enough to think of it almost as another snack once you have finished the pizza. Sprinkle some Parmesan and pepper flakes on your plate and press it into the crust. Sublime. The broccolini with chili oil is an unexpected delight. I love the grill on the vegetable. Moxxie comments that it should actually be cooked even further. Salads are excellent. Front of house is consistently excellent.

My relatives suggested we eat at AVP; they had the pizza there several times. We went w/o reservations on a busy Saturday night. AVP has both inside and 'outside' (atrium) seating. In the atrium there is also a 'take out' window where you order and sit in the outdoor space. We opted to eat in the atrium, which was very nice (good thing, the wait for indoors was 1 hour). We ordered a large cheese pizza with roasted red peppers. We also got two side dishes; the Meatballs and the Roasted Beets. The cheese pizza was delicious - a crispy, tasty crust with plenty of red peppers to enhance the flavor and texture. The meatballs were excellent! In a rich tomatoey marinara, they were tender and so tasty! Last, but not least, the Roasted Beets - sweet, rich and tender beets, on a bed of arugula and covered with chunks of rich tangy feta and pistachios, all of which are bathing in a dreamy pomegranate vinaigrette! The meal was splendid and I'm sure when I revisit Pittsburgh, we'll be going to AVP at Bakery Sq.!
