First of all there several pieces of bread thrown into the bottom of a take out box w the topping dumped on top in a heap. Could have lived with that if it hadn't been inedible. The topping of tiny diced tomatoes, tiny diced cheese and maybe basil had so much garlic was just gross and I love garlic. The balsamic drizzle was on the bread, not even on the pile of toppings. I've stopped by a couple of times now. In late Feb 2022, a large group of us ate there. Between us, I think we ordered just about all of the main offerings on the menu and there wasn't a single complaint! Beginning with the generous serving of garlic rolls shortly after we sat down to the ending cannoli's that were passed around, it was hard to pick the favorite! Every one of us had to ask for to go boxes because the meals were very generous. I went a second time with a friend and the Stromboli was fantastic! Tonight we visited Slices and I honestly couldn't believe it could be 5 stars worthy, being newly opened, in Melbourne, and a small business. But it is!! We decided to start simple with an XL cheese pizza. Our thinking is let's try the basics and see what they got! We could see them tossing the homemade dough in the kitchen and the sauce is perfect, not too sweet or salty and bits of real tomatoes. It came out piping hot, and the garlic knots may have been the best I've ever had. The marinara is excellent, and they cannot be missed! We got a small Caesar which was huge and large enough for us both to share. The prices are reasonable compared to the huge portion sizes. And when another couple in their was raving about how awesome their meatballs are we had to get a meatball sub to go. It's ginormous and I can't wait to have it and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I also loved that the owners were there as the night was ending and you could see their dedication to making this a family business. We will keep coming back again and again. Our old favorite pizza place in town has been replaced by Slices. Can't wait for our next visit. PS they deliver within 3 miles without any fees, $2 if further. Finally had a chance to try Slices Pizza on Aue Gallie in Melbourne. The Grandma's pizza was great!! Probably would have been even better if I didn't have to drive 20 minutes back to Viera, to eat it. Their homemade meatballs were very tender and flavorful!! Lastly, the garlic knots were also delicious! Just the right amount of chew. Believe it, or not, garlic knots are not that easy to make correctly. The young waitress went above and beyond to make it a good experience, the dough seemed a little off, so the flavor was slightly off a bit I think had it stayed cooking a few more minutes it would have been great. Hands down the best pizza in Florida. I've had pizza literally all over the world, and never wanted to drink the sauce like do at Slices. Having never been there, we followed the Order at Counter sign and did just that. We got the World Famous Grandma's Upside-down Special Pie. We were told that it would be about 30 minutes for it to cool so we ordered an order of the garlic knots. Grabbed a table and out knots followed shortly after. Self serve soda fountain and a basket on each table containing the exact shaky stuff you need for your meal. The servers were on point and kept open communication with every customer in the place. Very friendly, homely vibe overall. We were brought a meatball, and that thing didn't last long enough to lose the steam coming off of it! Home made goodness right there! Had the pleasure of having our pie hand delivered by the master chef himself! Literally could and would drink that pizza sauce, it's TO. DIE. FOR! After moving to Florida this past Sept from New York we were in search of a good pizza!! We have tried numerous places that were recommended none of them met our expectations. Until a friend of ours from New York stumbled upon Slices, he said we definitely needed to go even though it was a 40 minute ride from Vero Beach. We were greeted by Sara The daughter of Will and Maria and instantly felt welcomed and the aroma made us hungry to eat! We decided on a grandma pizza And started with a side of meatballs and a salad. Sara brought us over a regular slice on the house to try while we waited. First bite we knew we had a homerun!!! The whole experience start to finish was amazing the pizza was delicious and we will definitely be taking that 40 minute ride again soon!! So, Slices wasn't my favorite when I first went. It was mediocre at best. About a year and half later, we gave it another shot (we were attending a party so we HAD to go) ... SO GLAD we went back. Now we are there every Sunday and sometimes even 1 or 2 additional days in the week. My favorite pizza is the Grandma Pie and the Signature with Pepperoni... soooooo good ... even better than the pizza I had growing up in NYC. I HATE MEATBALLS!!!! My husband raves about the ones at Slices and I reluctantly "tasted" one tonight ... ended up eating the entire thing and wanted more. The sauce is LEGIT!!!! If you like Garlic CHEEEEEEESE Knots - theirs are ON POINT!!!! And the Calzone - OH EMM GEEE!!! This is Brevard's best kept secret! The owners, Maria and Will, are friendly and gracious. The atmosphere is light and comfortable. The pizza is exquisite. The crust is light and airy, and the toppings are appropriately portioned. The white pie is to die for. With so many pizza places in the area, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd - but this place accomplishes that with ease. You can't go wrong with a slice but if you're looking for suggestions try a Traditional slice with (or without) pepperoni. The white pizza is amazing! You can't go wrong with anything you order. The red sauce that they make in house is so tasty. They should seriously consider bottling it up and selling it. The pepperoli is awesome. The chicken parm is awesome. This is a GREAT place that deserves to skyrocket up the charts. It's family-run and you feel like part of the family when you come in. They are super friendly and genuinely interested in their customers' needs. The owner makes a point of baking these pies a little well done, which is a nice change from the undercooked stuff you'll find in the rest of the area. He's also experimenting with all kinds of flavors like a Coney Island style pie which is unique. The meatballs are fantastic. The pizza obviously delivers with nice crust and bold flavor. By all the other reviews we were so excited to try this place. What a disappointment, the atmosphere really isn't very inviting. Some kind of paperwork laid out all over the counters, empty coolers and large canned sauce as decorations apparently. We got the garlic knots and a Pizza. The knots were drenched in raw garlic purée, I LOVE garlic and it was waaaay too much. The pizza was ok, not bad but definitely not "best in Brevard." First time getting pizza from here because every time we called they don't deliver...even though it says delivery on the website. The front desk definitely needs some help with customer service. We placed an order which took forever because she was taking an order of someone in the restaurant at the same time! Once she repeated the order, she said 30 minutes and hung up. Well the order she repeated was completely wrong so my S/O had to call back and correct it. Pizza is good, owner is VERY nice...but there are way to many decent pizza places in this area to have to deal crappy service. New front desk help and we will be back!! :) read more
