Slider Inn is fantastic when you can get a seat inside. The place stays crowded in the afternoons and evenings. We got lucky and showed up for lunch at 11:30, and did not have much problem seating our group of eight. During the pandemic they did a great job staying on top of curbside pickup, with to-go orders including their famous Jameson slushies. Most recently I went for our Thursday lunch group. The sliders are just okay to me, but the wings are absolutely fantastic! Most of the crowd here is usually midtowners, often with dogs in tow for patio seating. The restaurant is very casual, but there is a full bar, and the price is right. I strongly recommend asking for extra cherries in your Jameson slushie. No frills, but ample "chill". read more

Decided to try this place based on reviews. It was a busy Saturday on the patio, but our party of 5 found a swat quickly. Our waiter was definitely busy, but he was attentive and provided good service. I had an IPA, my sis had Amaretto sour, and my Mom had a Jameson slushie that was really good. The food was ok, but my food came out lukewarm and not sure if it was a delay ok getting it to the table or they cooked it and let it sit while waiting for others at my table. The food was ok, not great, but ok. I had the sliders, of course. I had vegan Buffalo chicken, vegan triple D, and falafel. The triple D (veggie burger) was the tastiest of the 3, again it was bordering being cold, so it probably was better if warm or hot. The falafel was blah, and chicken was ok. The bread on the sliders was too dense for my liking, I would prefer a different bread or maybe toast it so it doesn't sit cold on the top. Now, what was really good was the lobster bisque, and it came out warm and flavorful. Parking lot is small and fills quickly, but street parking was available, and we found a spot with no issues. I really want to be able to give this place five stars, because it's always been good, but I have to take off one star for the general environment. They had an awful, very loud DJ, and a ton of mosquitoes. And very slow service. And I have to take off another star because the last time I went my burgers were super dry. I've been here several times in the past and I've always loved it, their fries are fantastic, their burgers are great, I love the salad, every appetizer and side I've tried has been good. But last time I got the mushroom and swiss and they were really dry. Like, I didn't finish the sliders because of how dry they were. The falafel was still really good though, even if I wish there was more falafel and less of a massive slice of cucumber. But the service was incredibly slow. Like, you see your waiter when you think that they've forgotten you, and that's it. I think we saw ours three times, once for drinks, once for dinner, and once for the check. The DJ was also incredibly annoying. They had the overhead speakers playing regular music at the same time that they had the DJ blasting music. And the entire patio was shaking because of how loud he had it. It just didn't match the vibe. And everybody was having to shout at each other in order to hear each other over the DJ, so it just ended up being super loud. And trying to place an order was really difficult because our waiter could not hear us. I think if he turned it down a little bit it could be fine, but it's not generally super fun to eat while your entire body is shaking because the bass is turned up way too loud. The biggest issue is the mosquitoes though. I have over 40 mosquito bites just from eating dinner there. They had some sitting water right behind us, and I would assume that under the porch is more sitting water, so there were tons of mosquitoes. I don't know what they could do to fix this, because it is outside, but I've never had this bad of a problem eating outdoor at other restaurants in the area. I am happy their patio is open for summer! Perfect place to come hang out and drink some Jameson slushies. The carnitas Benedict was yummy, tender and just right. The steak and eggs were eh. Eggs were over cooked (I asked for sunny side up and got hard fried eggs) and the steak had gristle and no seasoning. Came in to eat with friends a few days ago and our waitress was incredibly rude to us. She acted condescending and spoke to us like we were stupid and didn't have time for us. At one point another waitress came by and one of the girls at our table asked her for our waitress's name and the girl told us her name was Raven. She could tell something was obviously off by our collective reaction and when she asked what was wrong we told her she had been super rude to us to which the girl replied "oh yeah, she's awful - everyone here hates working with her too it isn't just you". Not sure if this place just doesn't care who they have working for them or if she is the manager or what is going on, but needless to say our experience wasn't great and me and my friends don't plan on coming back anytime soon if this is the vibe. I am so conflicted writing this review but here we go. We arrived at about 2:30 and the hostess was unbelievably rude. I have never experienced someone so unfriendly. We were seated with our group who was already there but it took almost 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and she still only said she would help us soon. She didn't come by for almost another 15 minutes (its about 2:55 at this time) and finally took our order for food and drinks. Some of the items we were ordering were from the brunch menu which ends at 3pm. However they wouldn't accept that because last call was at 2:30 but they advertise it at 3pm? After some back and forth that we have been waiting to order for 30mins now she finally agreed to put the orders in. However we didn't get our food OR drinks (waters) for another THIRTY MINUTES. In that time we encountered the extremely rude hostess again and we were super upset with the service at this point and long wait. But the twist is, the food was sooooo good. Where else can I find eggs benedict sliders (some of my favorite foods combined????) Its super unfortunate that I have to go through such awful service for some decent food. What is worse is that apparently they are known locally for having horribly rude servers and awful service but because the food is good people keep returning. One of those places I'm glad I went but likely won't go again, mostly because it's just not my type of place. The music combined with the over crowded tables were oppressive for an enjoyable experience. The food was average - nothing extraordinary. We had the meatball trio and the chikn-finally trio. The chicken was overcooked IMO, and the meatball needed some salt. Service was good. They were operating at a disadvantage that day due to weather conditions but they were open. Got there just before Last Call on kitchen orders so my expectations weren't too high. Closes at 3 AM but the kitchen closes at 1AM. I ordered the Memphis, Chicken, and Ribeye. The chicken was the worst because it was dry, old and lukewarm, the Memphis was delicious and flavorful, but my favorite was the ribeye. Be sure to order that one medium! The smoke was not as off putting as my wife was expecting. In fact, she really didn't mind it. I don't mind smoke so, I wasn't bothered at all. The vegan options we had here were pretty good. My wife ordered the falafel sliders-vegan style (which I think was just sans the dill yogurt sauce) and was very happy with them. I had the vegan triple B sliders and was also happy with my order. The fries were also tasty. While the vegan options here are minimal, they are good, and it's nice to have an option for vegan late night bar food at a place that has good beer and booze as well. They outdoor area was rather large and nice. The server we had was knowledgable about the menu and what went into the menu items, helping us order vegan food smoothly. My coworker picked this place for a quick hangout after work. I've never tried the place but the reviews were good so I was down. I like how we were greeted soon as we walked in and advised to sit anywhere we liked. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss sliders with spicy mayo. Probably the best sliders I've ever had because they actually season the beef. I have been to the Slider Inn several times, and have never been disappointed so I figured it was time for a review. As the name insinuates, their main focus is slider sandwiches - some more typical versions than others. I always go for the chickn fill ay sliders, and have always enjoyed them. I like their soups, they're pretty solid on their lobster bisque - it's not as creamy as some places. Really good craft beer selection, many options in draught and canned. Lobster roll is pretty good - not my favorite ever but nice for Memphis. I have only sat inside once, on an abnormally slow Saturday night, but it was nice inside. We normally sit on the patio which is nice when the weather is good for it. Slider Inn is just a solid all around fun place to eat with friends or family - it's not a fine dining establishment so don't expect it. read more

So many different sliders to choose from, and the best thing to go with is the Mix & Match! You can choose any three slides to try and fries are accompanied with it. I had the Lowrider, Grilled Buffalo chicken, and the Falafel. They look small, but they are so filling! At this location, there's plenty outdoor seating, which was perfect with the weather. I've had the Jameson Slushie at the Downtown location (also served here) and that's super good to accompany your sliders. The only thing was the amount of smokers in the same area as us. Maybe this location can consider a smoking and non-smoking side outside. I noticed they had a brunch menu and will be back to try that! Service was fast and I appreciated the covered patio when I went during Thanksgiving break. I love the extensive slider choices and that you can mix and match most for $10.99. I ordered the Original, Buffalo chicken, Chick fill ay, BLT, This pork is not a jerk and Vegan. I didn't get to try the chick fill ay one but of the rest, my favorite was the buffalo chicken. It was marinated before being fried and you could definitely tell the chicken had been loved on because it was succulent and tender. My least 2 favorite were the vegan and the BLT. The BLT bacon wasn't crispy and I just felt like it wasn't substantial enough and there were no crunchy toppings to offset the soft bun and vegan patty texture. They do offer a discount for teachers so I was pleased with that. I will go back again to try more of the sliders though and I will most definitely get the buffalo chicken one again. So, this place took me by surprise. I walked in with the idea that it was a "diner" like atmosphere, but was taken back by the small dive bar feel. I'll go up a star based on my last meal. The Big Deuce was great again and the Flat Iron was really awesome. You know, I dig the vibe and everything. If you like Jameson, this is your place. Well, I parked illegally, but I still came in. I was working outside, so I ate inside. It's a nice enough place and the staff handled a 50% full place pretty well. I sampled the sliders. The burger was great, but the pork and the chicken were disappointments. That Big Deuce was pretty incredible. I loved the slightly sweet buns all of them had. It would be cool though if they weren't all served on the same bun. But the burger though, juicy, tasty, seasoned, it was great. It was huge too for a slider. It had a lot of goodness going on. This pork is a jerk because it sucks. The pork sandwich wasn't cooked the day I ordered it. I know this because I've reheated plenty of leftovers in my day. It came out of the fridge, had some jerk sauce on it and then into microwave it went, then onto my bun. The chick-en-fill-A or however the hell you say it was cooked fresh, but it was deprived of any flavor. Chick Fil A tastes better. Fries were so-so from frozen. The schtick at Slider Inn is that you can basically get any type of hot/cold sandwich or other concoction inside three small hamburger buns accompanied by some type of side, be it fries, Fritos, soup or salad. What I love about Slider Inn is the totally casual feel - that place you go to get a bite as your most relaxed self. My favorite thing to get here is the nachos. They pack every chip with delicious toppings. The chips are light and crispy. The sliders are pretty awesome too. I like the breakfast sliders with bacon, egg and cheese. They have pretty awesome specials regularly and during Sunday brunch, they randomly give out free, warm donut holes. The patio is awesome on a mild day! However, the only reason I didn't give Slider Inn five stars is I have sinus issues and the patio is a smoker's paradise. Slider Inn is an authentic Memphis experience. Which is why I think anyone visiting should get off the beaten path and check out this Memphis favorite. read more

Husband and I tried Slider Inn for lunch during Yelp Burger week. My first impression was this is a nice quaint spot. We were immediately greeted when we walked through the door. We both ordered the Yelp special (sliders and fries). When it came out it was 2 sliders and fries. It wasn't until we left that I realized we were shorted a slider each. :( Also they would only honor 1 Yelp discount :( Burgers were ok, nothing to rave about. Fries were good. Left pretty disappointed today. I have been to Slider Inn once before, about 1.5-2 years ago and everything was great. I was finally able to return today and was beyond excited to get the This Pork is A Jerk, Mushroom and Swiss and the Lowrider sliders. I've had the Jerk Pork slider and the mushroom Swiss before and the pork was especially amazing. However, today it was completely different and was not delectable at all. On top of that, the mushroom and Swiss was slightly underdone, but tolerable. Mushrooms were tasteless. However, upon biting into the Lowrider, not only did it just taste absolutely terrible, but the chicken inside was still pink. I thought perhaps that my taste buds were just not agreeing with it, but my husband tried it and also said it tasted horrible. Not really sure what happened to this place and their standards, but I definitely won't be eager to return. You'd think that with them being pretty much empty inside and the fact that they have more than enough time to dedicate to making a delicious meal, that they would utilize it, but I guess not. Went here before the Tigers game with some friends. The Jamison slushy was the best thing! My husband and I ordered the chicken nachos to share. Everyone else at the table got their food before us and were about halfway done eating before ours came out. When it finally did, it looked amazing. Upon tasting it, however, neither of us were impressed. So basic. A handful of shredded cheese melted on a large amount of chips with some dry black beans, dry chicken, and bland pico de gayo...
