Placed a to go order and the drive thru took forever. By the time I got my food it was not hot to the touch. I tried the strawberry cheesecake jar and it was fine but not loaded enough to warrant the price.

I went once in Tennessee and was excited to see they came out this way and near me! I got the 4 piece meal and my bf the chickens which. I got the spicy strips- omg they had a kick. I don't do spicy spicy but I figuired ranch would calm it down... I had to dab some off (I don't do crazy spicy, but it just sounded good). It was still good tho lol. The chicken was very juicy. The seasoning started sweet and ended spicy. I loved the fries so good. My bf said his sandwhich was ok but nothing great. We would Definitely go back. The girl taking our order was really sweet and put up with my dumb questions. Staff we interacted with was very nice. Will be going back to try different items on the menu.

Took my kids here the other week for some chicken. They are huge fans of Raising Canes (I am not..I hate that place...bland ass chicken...anyways!) so I thought we should try this place out. I went with a 5 piece meal, one kid got the kids meal, and my other kid went with the 3 piece meal. They come with fries and toast. You also get to pick 2 sauces out of about a dozen to choose from. I went with honey mustard and mango habanero. How was the food? 5 Piece Strip Meal- First bite in, I knew it was going to be good. Crispy, hot chicken tenders, with flavor! The dips were tasty! Good fries and good toast, too! Coke products which is awesome! My kids loved their food too! We got out of there for only about $30.00 which is pretty cheap nowadays for 3 meals from anywhere. I will definitely return!

Idk why this spot has low ratings but for me it was great. First time and I loved the food. Service was friendly and professional, restaurant is clean, has some good tunes playing and tv's on the sports channel. I definitely like this place better than raising canes. More menu options, dipping sauces, and flavors if you want you chicken sauced up. Fries are seasoned right and crispy. 100% will come back.

We stopped by Slim Chickens to try them out since we had never been there before. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and inviting! We ordered chicken and some deep-fried pickles. The chicken was great, but the pickles were super oily. I loved that they offered a variety of different sauces. Check them out if there is one near you.

I was apprehensive about eating at Slim Chickens due to mediocre reviews, though was pleasantly surprised on my recent visit. The facility is rather new. It's bright and clean, yet has a homey, unpretentious feel. It's suitable for all, so feel free to bring kids, coworkers and Grandma. There was no line / no waiting on a Saturday afternoon. While not "out of the way" friendly, the service was efficient and my order was delivered accurately. Many competitors can't say the same. I ordered the Buffalo Tender Mac Bowl Meal. It came with two chopped crispy chicken tenders which were fine for fast food. The bed of Mac and cheese was creamy and ample In portion size. The Buffalo sauce provided just enough flavor without being overpowering. It was all topped off with scallions and crispy fried onions, elevating a simple dish. There was no mention of it on the menu board (for this dish), but the meal included Texas Toast (a slice of grilled white bread). It may be artery- clogging, but also light, crispy and yummy. A (16 oz. ???) fountain drink rounded out the meal. Price: $10.99. I guess I wasn't exhibiting much self control and opted for dessert. They offer both regular menu and seasonal desserts served trifle- style in a glass jar. Mine came with flavorful bits of cheesecake, firm (not mushy) strawberries and whipped cream. It reminded me a little of the trifles another fast food chicken chain offered many years ago, but with cheesecake instead of plain cake. At $6.99, the price was a bit steep for fast food. At least the glass jar is yours to keep and reusable. Overall, the food was good and on the pricey side. Unlike other fast food restaurants, no tip was expected, so it may be on "price par" with other restaurants. I hope they pay their employees a fair wage.

Walked in and the OLD OIL SMELL made me want to turn around and walk out, but I decided to give it try, ordered 3x3 3wings and 3 tenders with fries and toast, and a Strawberry cheese cake dessert, sat down to dine in. Within 2 minutes my food was at my table, looked good but fries were just Luke warm then tried a tender was DRY and hard, Tried a wing and it was COLD took one of the wings back up to the counter and ask the person to feel it (uneaten) he felt it and said that is COLD said he didn't understand because they just took them out but the one I tried was dried out like it had been sitting for some time just covered in my hot sauce. He offed to remake it but I declined the smell and the rest of the meal didn't sit right with me. So I went back to sit down and try my dessert which was good. But I left with a $23.00 meal sitting on the table and a bad oil smell. Don't think I'll be returning to Slim Chickens

If you're looking for regular fried chicken place, this isn't it. I guess that's why it's called Slim Pickens. Pros: *staff was friendly. *place was relatively clean considering it was the lunch rush hour. *the fries were very good *the honey mustard sauce was tasty, but the mango habanero sauce was too hot for me, but not for my hubby. *the toast was good. Cons: *we ordered the 5 & 5 (5 wings & 5 tenders) it came with 4 flats, but just 1 drummette-my husband doesn't like flats, but I do. *the wings don't taste like they brine them so the meat itself was bland. *the tenders were a little bit rubbery. Overall, I've had chicken that's better at other places, but for $18 it wasn't bad.

First time trying this location I usually go to happy valley. This location had way better food but it took 22 min to get the food there were long lines people were frustrated. I believe they were very short staffed. My dad went to restroom and noticed the sink was inoperable due to the handle missing off sink in restroom. He let cashier know who said yeah we are aware, they should fix it

Food was subpar the wait wasn't worth it honestly. For the price it wasn't bad definitely a better than KFC. Service wasn't great they seemed to care more for the DD/Uber eats orders over in person orders. Tables weren't clean. The desert jar is good and all but if it had ice cream or fruit that'd be a perfect snack! Chicken and waffles weren't bad but the waffle was dry and tasted like it came from a bag and tossed into a microwave I will give them this though their bread and Dr Pepper was actually one of the best I've had out of the chicken spots.

Clean restaurant with plenty of parking and spacious seating. The cashier , Selene, was super friendly and helpful--great first impression! We got the 5-piece meal (tenders, fries, Texas toast, drink). Chicken was juicy and crunchy, toast was buttery and fluffy, but the fries were just okay and a bit on the small side. The toast made up for it though. For the price, it felt worth it. Drink station was spotless and fully stocked. Potato salad was a miss--too much mayo, not enough seasoning. Lots of sauces to choose from! Ranch, buffalo, and garlic parmesan were my faves. BBQ lovers might enjoy their options too. Overall, solid experience. I'll be back to try a sandwich and one of those dessert jars!

I hope this is still "working out the kinks" but after these two visits, nothing about this place will bring me back. Tried again after the first not good visit and the food still wasn't good plus the service this time was horrible in the drive thru. There were only three cars ahead of me (including both lanes) and then moving up, a bunch of cars joined the other lane and moved faster than the lane I was in. When I finally got to the speaker the girl working it was acting like she couldn't hear anything which was definitely beyond frustrating. The cars at the window didn't seem to be faring much better. Some were getting their food thru the paying window, others being moved up to collect at the food window. It was just a mess. When I looked behind me, both lines were long. I waited over 30 min. Was not worth it at all.

    BBQ Wings
    Jon M.

WOW - Slim Chickens nailed it! We shared the six-piece spicy BBQ wings and they were perfection - crispy skin, tender meat, just the right amount of sauce. Honestly, better than Buffalo Wild Wings! The crispy chicken sandwich was cooked fresh, with a buttery bun and just the right touch of sauce. Desserts came in adorable mason jars - the strawberry cheesecake stole the show with its sweet graham cracker crust and perfect strawberries. The banana pudding was good, though we prefer a little crunch in the wafers. We also tried the mac & cheese - creamy and mild, so if you like less cheesy mac & cheese you might enjoy it, but it wasn't our favorite. All in all, amazing food, great flavors, and wings we'd come back for again and again!

When we got home, we all noticed the chicken tasted extra fresh and delicious with the breading being super tasty and crispy. It reminded me of old-school KFC I used to have when I was a kid. The amount of chicken per chicken finger is always substantial at Cane's. They always get our sauce order right. This was no exception. It really hit the spot for a Friday night dinner. There's a long table with high seating by the order counter and kitchen. There's also booths and tables inside and a beverage station. There's plenty of parking in a private lot. You may need to navigate to park near the restaurant because there are cones and signs directing traffic for the drive-through cars sort of like how in and out has it set up.

Hi Yelpers, Ok, fyi,…read moreI can't really give a review on the taste of the food because there were factors that influenced our first time experience with bad chick, you ready? The line-up of chicken sandwiches looked incredible. They caught my eye and so I immediately made plans to eat at this new place! It was Friday night, we invited friends, new restaurant on the west side, mingling, etc! You get the vibes. When we got there it was at The Coop Bar on the crossroads of Peoria & 83rd. The only person who we saw helping customers was the bartender, no servers, food busser, host, etc. The bartender was very pleasant and had a great attitude despite the fact that she had to do everything! She explained, the kitchen is new (The Bad Chick) but you can only order online and pick-up. You can have a "dining experience" but there isn't a lot of places to sit inside, everything is for a bar experience, and going outside in the patio is worse. The patio did not look like it was ready to receive customers apart form their beer pong table that was set-up. Plus, I felt bad eating there because there was only one person doing everything but she really had a great attitude, she also said she'd help the kitchen bring out the food. On top of all this, when we looked at the menu online they only had 2-3 chicken sandwiches available to order not the whole line-up they had been advertising. That did upset me. Overall, @The Bad Chick did not prepare for their customers. I'm hoping this will change and one day I can go back and try their food.

Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! I think it would catch on in no-time... assuming today's quality, and value, remained the same, of course. I'm, generally, hard to please... but Outta Bronx/Krispy Krunchy chicken seems to hit it on all cylinders! VERY pleased. Mark us down as huge fans!
