    Hawaiian BBQ Beef Mini Meal
    Ericka B.

I ordered ahead at this location because I had a very short lunch during work. I'd heard mixed reviews about this place and decided to try it for myself. I ordered the Hawaiian beef mini meal. When I walked in there was no one in the restaurant so not sure how busy it gets. It was very clean and had a typical fast food kind of vibe for the interior. My food was so-so. The vegetables were delicious, if I come back I might ask for more of those instead of rice. The noodle salad was tasty but the meat was off. I don't know if it was the grisly fat that gave it a cheap flavor but it wasn't very good and made my stomach feel a little wonky. I won't order that meat again if I come back.

I love your food but what do I have to say in order to get broccoli. Every single time I ask for broccoli and no Mac I get a crap ton of cabbage instead. Tell me what I need to ask for to get broccoli ‍

Although the food is good and they do have a drive through, not everything is available at the drive through. Also, even if you walk in, there is no loco moco available. How is that possible at a Hawaiian chain? Everything else is fine. Place is clean, parking is ample. There is ALWAYS a longer wait on whatever food you order, whether it is drive thru or walk in, but I have come to accept that as their standard. Everyone is nice here. The last time I ate here I got Kalua Pork and it was dry. I've had it better here other times, so I'm just going to call it a bad batch this past time. This place is near my friend's house, so I'm basically in the area just about every weekend. It falls into my normal rotation of weekend lunchtime spots and these gripes listed above are not quite enough to make me give up on this place.

    Burnt Island Fire Chicken

Last 2 times we visited, the food was good and wait time was reasonable. This time we waiting for almost 30 minutes in the drive-thru line and our island fire chicken was so burnt, most of it was inedible. I was gagging at the taste of burnt chicken.

Order email- shows time placed, promised ready time, and time stamp of screenshot taken 2-3 min after food handed over at counter.

Placed an online pickup order today at 6:14pm for three meals and one order of spam musubi. No customization on anything just straight up menu items. Confirmation received, stated order would be ready at 6:37 pm. Order was not completed until 7:20! No explanation or apology given just food handed over. No notification from restaurant that food would be delayed. This is now the second time Ive had this happen with the order being completed way after time promised. I called and asked and the manager said he was aware and then I was told that they are slammed with orders and short staffed, but not before I was hung up on by someone else -- twice! I asked why no explanation or apology was given to my husband who was there waiting for almost an HOUR- manager didnt have an answer, said what can I do to make it right? Well that should have been asked at the time of handing over the food if you were aware of this problem. My family has been going there since they opened; in the past year Ive really noticed, in my opinion, the quality has gone down, the service has gone down, and i think the old managers went to another location (used to be a joy to go in, lovely people! Now, not super friendly ambiance.). Unfortunate loss but we won't be back.

Teriyaki Chicken Keiki Meal helps stretch and beef/chicken combo to be enough for two adults.

I love this place and have even converted my husband! I love getting real, not fried food almost every weekend while I'm working on a project and can't stop to cook (or make a mess in my kitchen!). I used to have to wait a long time to get the food but just took that as it wasn't being put on the grill til after I ordered it. Lately, though, my orders have been pretty quick. My husband and I can share a chicken and beef combo, add a kid's meal and have plenty for dinner with a little leftover. For about $20!! Can't even eat fast food anywhere for less than that! And the food is real and fresh. I love this place.

Charged me triple what my food was for someone else's order, didn't give any sauce, and took forever. Never coming back here again

Good food. Good value. Sometimes I need a step up from your traditional fast food. Even though it is fast food it doesn't taste like it.

Reminds me of an elevated L&L. I pretty much only want to get Chicken Katsu because I can never…read morereplicate it from a restaurant. When I tried this place, we got a mini katsu and a plate. We were able to replace the sides with more rice at no extra charge for the plate which was really nice. Honestly, it was way too much rice, so next time I'd just omit the sides altogether if I was to reorder this. The mini katsu was more than enough as well. Each piece was perfectly crispy. I loved the steamed veggies. They were unseasoned and balanced out the katsu very well. Worth the price (which was very accurate to the meal and the quality).

I'm giving this place a 4.2/5. It's pretty good for a Hawaiian BBQ spot…read more I got the Teriyaki chicken regular plate with all rice. The chicken was really good and cooked pretty much perfectly. It doesn't have that "char" to it that Hawaiian's cook it like (if you know, you know), but it was cooked almost perfectly imo. The rice wasn't a true Hawaiian sticky rice, but close enough. It almost had more of an Asian texture to it. But it was still good. There was a lot of food, of which I'd expect from a Hawaiian spot. The teriyaki sauce was pretty tasty. It wasn't the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had, but it's a lot better than Ono's Hawaiian BBQ (their chicken teriyaki is trash!). The service was good and fast! The inside was clean and tidy. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But it's good enough to share it with my friends, invite them to go, and go back myself. I'll need to try the chicken katsu and bbq short ribs next time.

The inside is cute and clean, and it wasn't too busy or packed. There was also parking right in front. I ended up ordering the beef patty loco moco and my aunt got the teriyaki something. I did not like my loco moco at all... everything was cooked well! I just don't have the tastebuds for a loco moco. The owner listened to me tell him why I didn't like it, saw how disappointed I was, and surprised me with a container of teriyaki chicken and white rice. I'm more of a sweeter teriyaki person (there's is more savory) but the meat was cooked SOOO well and as you can see, I really enjoyed it. My aunt liked her food as well. All in all I'd be back. The star of the show is really the owner, his sense of humor is great. But Alex... please do something about that restroom! You know better. "What part of Hawaii are you from?" "Hong Kong."

The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with spacious amount of parking spots available. We had entered the restaurant and were the only patrons inside. The restaurant was freezing!! Even with our jackets on, it was still really cold inside! The menu had a lot of options on it such as the following Chicken: Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Chicken Katsu Teriyaki Chicken Orange Chicken Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast Beef: Hawaiian BBQ Beef Kalbi Short Ribs Kalua Pork Seafood: Island White Fish Crispy Shrimp After reviewing the menu, my family and I selected Loco Moco Chicken Katsu and Kalua pork with Rice/Mac Salad Chicken Teriyaki with Rice Kids Meal: BBQ Beef The price was relatively inexpensive, approximately $45.00 for the entire order, but the portions were small. It took around 20 minutes for the entire meal to be cooked. The Loco Moco was decent. The hamburger patty was burnt and small though. The scrambled eggs and gravy was delicious. The Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork was okay. There was a lot of breading on the Chicken Katsu. Overall, we had a good experience at Love Hawaiian BBQ.
