Went in for the first time tonight. It was not very busy. We were greeted by Caoilee B at the register. She was pleasant, friendly and very helpful answering our questions. When our food was ready she brought everything out. All the food was fresh, hot and tasty. Takes a little longer than fast food but everything was cooked to order. I love Slim Chickens! The chicken tenders are always hot and fresh, so much flavoring! And they have a bunch of sauces to try from, the sweet red chili is my favorite. Their salad is the best freshest salad I've ever had at a restaurant like this. They make the food fresh to order so it's not quite "fast food" but it's so worth it since they actually make the food from scratch. The service is great, Jeremiah or Brooklyn always take great care of us. Love to sit at the big windows, and get refills of the Peach Tea! read more

Stopped by on opening night. It was super busy, but they were well prepared. The drive trough had several employees taking orders, getting payment, and delivering food. The food was great, I had the 3&3. The chicken was hot, and juicy. The breading was crunchy and tasty. The selection of sauces was amazing. The fries were hot and crispy. Excited there is finally a Slim Chickens in Jeff City! We have eaten there 2 times since they opened last month. We get the 5&5 to split. The spicy BBQ and Korean BBQ are our favorite sauces. Both have some heat to them with Korean having a little more. The chicken has been warm even after we drove the 15 minutes home. We sub the ranch chips for the fries and they are crispy and delicious dipped in bbq or ranch. Texas toast is perfectly toasted and flavored too. We tried the Oreo cheesecake jar dessert. My husband liked it but it was a little too much whipped cream for me. I would have preferred it to be ice cream. Drive through employees were happy and actually seemed like they like their job (which is hard to find these days). Will definitely keep coming back!! read more

100th REVIEW FOR ME!! Visited on lunch hour, busy, but still quick service, hot food, correct order, and clean restaurant! Chicken tender were hot and fresh, wings were sauced and fries were seasoned and done just right! What more could you ask for? Bigger wings honestly, they were tiny little things but again, it's not like they're touting their wings, it's still chicken. But bigger wings would've got a 5-Star review from me, solid place, there's reasons it's still busy months after opening! Keep it up and this place could be a staple around here! read more

I have tried this location a few times since it opened. It definitely had a better opening than how it is going now. My orders are never correct. I'm either missing something or given the completely wrong order. Management and employees are all rude and a bit lazy. You can see into the kitchen from both in the lobby and in drive thru. Cooks and cashiers playing around is never something you want to see when ordering your food. This seems to be a problem that plagues JC restaurants. read more

I placed an order online to be delivered to my home. The food arrived and was cold and was missing items. I called the store and spoke to the manager and explained the situation and all she could say was I'm sorry I'm just the manager and there is nothing I can do. We use Doordash to deliver our orders. I just had lunch there. First, she handed me my order at the counter as I paid, so that made fresh to order is baloney. Secondly the order was wrong. Third, what I wanted was 2 sides, not the meal deal, and she charged me for meal. She never asked or explained anything to me. All this might be excusable but the food was horrible. The fries and chicken were limp, greasy and only warm. The sauce was watered down and nearly flavorless. And Mac and cheese!! What a gooey overcooked pasty mess. Terrible service ordered there on the app turned out that they were closed for maintenance. Tried to call to figure out how to get a refund. No one would answer the phone tried the next day rang several times before someone would answer where the lady told me that I need to call her back in 10 minutes. I called back in 10 minutes and she told me that she needs to get my name and number because her manager doesn't know and the general manager will have to call me General manager has yet to call me back so I tried to call several times. I personally love Slim Chickens. However, the employees in Jefferson City are lazy and rude. The first mistake was they gave us the wrong drinks and then had an attitude when we asked them to fix it. We also ordered six sauces with our meal and paid for them and we only received two of the six sauces. We didn't check the food until we got home and when we did we saw that there was only 3 nugget size chicken strips when we ordered the four piece CHICKEN STRIP meal. Do not recommend in this town. With all the hype about chicken sandwiches, Slim Chickens has one of the best I've had. The tenders are great also.

Went there on 3-20-22 and the food was quick and hot and the window lady was extra nice and the price wasn't any higher than McDonald's or Sonic, this is our new favorite place to eat. We would highly recommend slim chickens. Thanks and keep up the good work. read more
