The entire staff was helpful, but the MVP was the hostess who supplied us with lollipops and helped to move all of our stuff to a booth when one became available. The entire table LOVED the truffle fries. I'll be thinking about those for a few days. The Nashville sliders were great too. We brought home a Smokehouse pizza. It was delicious at home, so I know it would be even better there. We are new to the area, and this was our first time stopping in. You already won us over! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

The menu offers a lot of delicious options, and both my husband and our friend loved the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I ordered the Salmon, which was okay. The Spanish Coffee was one of the best I've had. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was how my food allergies were handled. I had included my dietary restrictions in our reservation and also called the restaurant the night before to make sure they could accommodate me. I was reassured after they checked with the kitchen that most items on the menu could be modified to work within my restrictions. Based on that conversation, I felt comfortable keeping our reservation. Since we were dining with others for a birthday celebration, I had hoped the information from my reservation and phone call would have been communicated to our server so I wouldn't need to go through all of my restrictions again at the table. Instead, I had to explain everything during dinner. Because the restaurant is extremely loud and the tables are packed closely together, our server had to stand across the table from me, which meant having to discuss my allergies loudly in front of our entire party and the surrounding tables. It was an uncomfortable and awkward situation. What was most frustrating, however, was then being told that my options were essentially limited to a protein and green beans. This was a far cry from what I had been told the night before that the kitchen could modify most items on the menu to accommodate me. I completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every allergy or dietary restriction, and I don't expect them to. My concern is that I specifically called ahead for this reason and relied on the information I was given. Had I been told beforehand that my options would be so limited, we simply would have chosen another restaurant where I could enjoy a nice meal along with everyone else for my husband's birthday. For anyone dining with significant food allergies or restrictions, I would recommend getting very specific information about what can actually be accommodated before making a reservation.

This place is perfect for families, church gatherings, date night, and more. Plus, they play great music. We came on a Saturday afternoon, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. We ordered the Turkey meatloaf, and their meals come with two sides. We also ordered the Turkey chops with the two sides, but we also ordered an extra side. Last, we ordered the catfish dinner. Everything, was delicious. We asked for water with lemon. I came in with my own bottle of water, but was told it was a no-no. It was strange, because the water that was served appeared to be tap water. I dared not ask, because I didn't want to further rock the boat. Thank you Lillie Mae's.

Because the one lady that keeps things running smoothly was not there. Anyhoo, I ordered the catfish, the cabbage and Black Eyed Peas without rice and eating in! The Young man at the check-in set my table up and advised me to get in the line which was down to the cashier but was moving right along! When it was my turn, I told the Young Lady I wanted catfish cabbage and Black Eyed Peas with no rice No rice! Someone carried my tray to my table for me and of course they gave me rice! The young man from the takeout switch that for me, and then I sat down to start eating. The cabbage was so waterlogged I could not eat it. I poked around in it. It had good flavor to it, but it was had been sitting for so long that it was no longer Dante and it was just watery, The Black Eyed Peas were delicious. Another day and the catfish would've been spoiled. I just took it home and I'm going to try to finish it today, but I'm pretty sure it will be beyond spoiled. You could smell it. I don't know if I will take it back or not, but I must say I got good service. There were so many employees there. The lady from the bar brought me a nice cold water and it was delicious. But it wasn't there best day for me because I've seen better so I know I will return

We attended a monster truck show at the speedway up the road- what better way to cap it than with some BBQ! Ok- this was a slow Sunday at 4pm, and this is a very small town. Kudos to the owners for operating this outpost. We were basically the only people in the joint. Beer selection was limited (mainly due to much of it not being in the fridges), but it was nice they had juice boxes for the little pitmasters. Really should have ordered one of the platters- oh but wife wanted a sandwich lol... Well they come with bread as they should in Texas!! Anyways, my main disappointment was that my brisket was just pulled brisket. In Texas (God's Country), not only will the brisket be served sliced, but at the better places the offer your fatty (point) or lean (flat). The pulled brisket here was still fairly flavourful and well seasoned, but still it's like being served leftovers. For pulled pork, it's cool, brisket I'm not impressed. Sides were ok. Slaw- standard. I like it a little creamier not bad still. Potato salad was good! Cowboy beans also really true to Texas flavour. Being a slow Sunday- service was basically high school kids. News flash- this isn't a good thing. It may as well have been serve yourself. Would give it maybe one more shot- full platter and on a busier day. That being said I wouldn't drive from Windsor especially for it (Slows in Detroit is the benchmark), but I'm rooting for this place and would surely visit again if I was in the area!

However I am surprised that there is sauce as i have known Texas as dry rub bbq. Pulled pork was typical, ok. A no on sides. Tried cowboy beans and potato salad (half potatoes were still hard). Overall, if I am craving brisket, i would come back for that.
