Cluckin' Hot or Cluckin Not? Let's see…read more.. I stopped by CHC for lunch recently, always excited to give a new hot chicken restaurant a try! The building itself seems to have been updated recently. There's tons of seating indoors, and it seems like they do a lot of takeout business. The staff is friendly, and the menu is pretty expansive. You'll find your usual standard fare for hot chicken, with a splash of Indian (Desi) and Korean thrown in as well! You can tell the menu is catered to the current hot chicken craze among Millennials/ Gen Z (see also: "tendies"). The service can be a bit slow right after they open. We arrived right at 11 and found that tbey were still heating up oil, etc-- it took 20-30 minutes for our orders to arrive, making it a tight fit for the lunch break. The real tough pill to swallow for me is the spice level experienced. I ordered the tenders in "cluckin hot" and I can assure you that they were cluckin not. I expect a lot more heat in the second hottest spice tier, so this was a disappointment. That said... I'm willing to give it another shot! CHC, I'll be back -- let's see what the cluck is all about!

Fair prices, and they often have good value meal deals. You can choose how spicy you want it but all sauces taste amazing. Quality Mac n cheese unlike any other chicken place I've been to. Very clean. There's a hockey table, arcade machine, and foosball table. This place should pumping but they're understaffed so the manager ends up doing a lot of the work. I rate a 10/10.

I went with a make your own bowl. I was at the early side of the day, so the rice was not quite ready. I went with fries which were awesome. The ability to pick and choose what you put on your food is great. I also got an order of Jalapeño poppers. Everything was hot (temperature wise) and so tasty. Parking is plentiful or at least it was on Sunday late morning. Given how easy it was to get to from my place and how awesome the food was, I will definitely be back.

We ordered two chocolate milk shakes, 2 regular hand cut fries and 3 burgers. We ended up taking it all to go. The fries are cooked in beef tallow which gives the fries a great flavor. The milkshakes were delicious and the whipped cream topping was amazing!! I ordered a tripple burger with no pickles or grilled onion, but added fresh onion. I think that burger lasted less than 40 seconds. The buns are buttery and fresh and the beef patties had a nice little crunch around the edges like a true smash-burger should! The service was top notch and everyone was attentive and very helpful. If you're in the area and looking for a GREAT burger, this is the place! We will definitely be back! I didn't add a pic of the burger only cause it took me a couple of stops to get home and I don't feel like I captured the glory of either (classic smash and West Coast smash). Also, (hee hee hoo hoo ha ha) I ate the mozzarella sticks before I even thought about taking a pic. There are plenty of pics on the page already, so no great loss on any of it, but I wish I had it for myself. The burgers were perfectly cooked. The centers were soft with the crisp char on the out ring. If I had a complaint of any kind is that it ran a little salty for my preference. I've come to expect that from any kind of restaurant burger so I'm not marking them down for it. I ordered online and it said about 24-35 minutes and it was ready in about 15 which was great. Granted my drive there is another 15 minutes so it worked out well. Really eating in isn't much of an option. It's a small place, not a lot to it. Obviously the idea was to keep this a to go type of place and they did a great job. Will definitely be becoming a regular.

I have a very specific cheeseburger order: cheeseburger and sometimes depending on how big the burgers are, double cheeseburger. I usually do two different types of cheese and in this instance, I got American and Muenster cheese. Please don't ever put a pickle on my burger or on the plate and I always request extra tomatoes. Nothing too complicated. their burgers are about 8 ounces uncooked I believe, served on an onion roll, which I decided to have an open mind too. The burger was supposed to be cooked medium thiugh it definitely came well done- that well done where it's a bit dry and crumbly if you know what I mean,. It came to me with the cheese that they wanted me to have, which was just 2 slices of American. I also requested that my fries not be seasoned. The fries that arrived looked like they were sponsored by lisinopril or some other manufacturer that makes blood pressure medicine, given all the salt that had on them ! I noticed it right away and told the waitress. She ever so politely and kindly offered to take my food back. Whoever was cooking, probably annoyed at me that THEY missed what was on the ticket put a piece of cold cheese on my burger and set the plate in the window . Muenster cheese is typically a yellow slash orange color that's marbled in somewhat with white- not like Colby jack but there's a tint to it. This cheese was not only freezing cold, but it looked shaved as if it was Parmesan that was cut off of a rind. He didn't bother putting it back on the broiler for a second to let my cheese melt, and the cheese never actually melted as the brother had long since been off the flame. The fries came back out, without salt, but they should've been cooked a few minutes longer. I REALLY did not like my meal. I also got a side salad before. It was completely chunky iceberg lettuce, and my batch must've been at the bottom because it was soaking wet. This is one of those diners that is sort of tucked away in a strip mall. The menu looks so promising, but my meal was extremely underwhelming. I also didn't feel the best after I ate it which for a cheeseburger cheat meal was the height of disappointment. Now, the one good thing that the restaurant does have going for it is the two ladies that I interacted with: my waitress, and the woman that rang me up! Those young ladies were smiling from the moment I walked in until the time I left. they greeted me in the most welcoming way, and my waitress was absolutely the picture of kindness and humility. I read the specials on the whiteboard and it seems like there's a thought in someone's head to make the restaurant good but unfortunately, the food was terrible. Also not that I ever wanted a burger on an onion roll, but I will never ever do that again. I'll get it on plain toast before I ever do an Onion roll again. The cold food with the REALLY cold cheese on an overcooked burger with fries that were crinkle cut and not cooked all the way through even though they were oddly as thick as steak fries, sealed the deal that I will never return. A burger, soda and salad ran me $30 to which I gave the super nice waitress a $10 will deserve to. Last time for me.

Since I was starving and it was a random Friday, I finally got a chance to stop in and eat. It's on the smaller side but more of a long, narrow type place. There's plenty of seating and the menu and register are located right in front when you walk in. I reviewed the menu on the TV's above (they also have paper ones if needed) and the nice gentleman talked me through the ordering process. They have larger dinner entree dishes here, but he pointed out their sandwiches which were much smaller in size since I didn't want a ton of food. I got the beef shawarma which was made fresh by the nice cook behind the wall in the kitchen. You can get fries or rice as a side with the sandwiches which is great. I went with fries, which were okay. There's also fountain pop here which was great, but cans of pop or water in the front if that's what you'd prefer. My total with a drink was around $13 which wasn't to terribly bad. Food was good and it seemed to match the price point. I did have leftovers but due to the heat and me being out and about, I wasn't able to take them with me.
