This is is the chicks meal plus a side order of extra tenders

Food was much better we've come here several times sometimes the chicken has been tough in the past tonight. Everything tasted really good. And hot We substituted French fries for fried okra. The okra was tasty though. I think they could've cooked it just a tad longer because some pieces were not quite done. . The Texas toast was very good and we had a Dr Pepper. I shared the meal with my husband. Everything in our meal was included. We didn't have to pay extra for sauce or our drink so that's nice. Some places charge extra for those items. Our server at the cash register was pleasant. However, I was kind of bummed that no one came and walked around and checked to see if we needed anything or greatest cause that normally happens and it didn't tonight. I just like that personal touch that we normally get here. Overall, we had a good meal and a good time .

I was looking forward to this but the chicken was sooo dry and tasted like freezer burn. It looked like it had been left out for a day. Fries was very salty too. Overall definitely needs to review and improve.

My husband and I are so sad that SuperChix closed. When it was open, it was hands down our favorite chicken strips shop. We tried Slim Chickens when it first opened, and it was just OK. Now that the crowds have lessened and the training of the teams has improved, they are now four stars to me. The chicken and the fries are tasty, and the team members do a more regular job of cleaning the tables in between customers. The young people who work here are friendly and provide good service. Downsides: I don't find either their cole slaw or potato salad tasty. They have a ton of dipping sauces, but the only place they are listed in the store is on the wall behind the cashiers, and you have to choose right when you order. I really miss that with SuperChix, you could pour your own little containers of the sauce and try many of them.

First time! Used the drive through as it was late. It did take a little time to get our food but it honestly wasn't that long of a wait. And if it means I'm getting fresh food, I don't mind at all! The employee was nice and made sure we received everything we ordered. The exterior looked well kept and it was brightly lit at night. I do think the chicken strips were pretty small, although I DID like that they are real hand breaded strips. So much better than other fast food establishments. I also had a side of spicy bbq sauce and it was good! Not too spicy at all for my preference.

I was excited to see another option in the fried chicken genre as I'm still missing my favorite fast food chicken place from the Bay Area (Starbird how I love you!!) We came for lunch and tried a variety of things. We got Mac bowls with tenders and Texas toast, tenders and fries and a cayenne ranch chicken sandwich. The restaurant was super bright and clean and all utensils, napkins and drinks were easy to access. Service was friendly and fast. Sadly all the chicken was overcooked and quite dry. My sandwich didn't appear to have a hint of spice to it Kids enjoyed the Mac and the fries were just ok. Based on how quickly we got our food I think the chicken had been cooked ahead of our arrival. Bummed. Hope to try again with better results but it's not likely given that there's other tastier options in the area (basak chicken, popeye's)

11/30/24 Just heard our neighborhood will be getting a Slim Chickens (early next year).. Wanted to explore the menu -since we were in the area- Very nice drive thru- Menu it's plenty of options- Went with two Slim meals-$27 Service was friendly- Nicely packaged with fries and toast.. Plenty of bbq sauce- given and very tasty- Taste: not too flavorful and a little bland- I'm a coleslaw girl and no coleslaw with the meal. Willing to give it another shot when they open in South Reno..

Fast service, I think I waited 5 min at most. The chicken sandwich was great and fries were a good portion. The flavor was comparable to other chicken sandwiches, but I like the options of sauces here. Very clean establishment with outside seating. The downside I found was the size of the chicken tenders, they're a bit small for the price compared to other places. I would come again for their chicken sandwiches.

This location is fairly new and easy access in and out. The restaurant was very clean and had that fresh new look. I was greeted upon arrival and the gentleman took my order with ease. There is adequate space for dining in with additional outdoor seating. I was given a number and the order taker brought my meal to my table in just a couple of minutes. I ordered the tender and wing combo. I switched my side from fries to fried okra. Being from the south I love fried okra and it was not disappointing. The okra was crisp and hot on the inside with the right amount of breading. The tenders were equally delicious and served with dipping sauces, Cayenne Ranch and Blue Cheese. The only down side were the wings. They were not good and this is my second time to try them. All wings no drumsticks and the meat was dry and the crust soggy and not much flavor. I recommend going for the tenders and the sides. My wife loves their sandwiches too. It's a great place for family dining with lots of choices.

This was so much fun. A group of us from school went. I got the wrap, which was so good and it came with fries and a drink. It was clean and the staff was friendly. It was a little busy, but everyone got their food in a timely manner.

Came through the drive thru the other day - outdoor is very clean but can't speak for the inside since we didn't go in. Employee was friendly and patient as I have never been there before. I ordered the classic meal with sweet tea for myself and the tender kids meal for my kid. The chicken was okay, very bland. I got the garlic parmesan sauce on the side to try it before shaking it with the tenders, and so glad I did. That sauce is rancid. So gross, I don't even have words to explain it. Fries were limp and soggy, and so was the toast. We also ordered the Mac and cheese to share, and that was decent. $24 for everything and it was super disappointing.

I just moved here from California and thought I'd give this place a try. It's so delicious! The staff is always very friendly and it's pretty clean inside. Compared to Raising Canes, the pricing is way better which is a huge plus! I love all the different sauce options. Overall, very yummy!

Fried chicken is one of my comfort foods, so when we were at the Galleria, we decided to check out Slim Chickens. We like to split meals, so we ordered a Hungry Meal ($14.49) with seven tenders, Texas toast, fried okra, garlic parmesan sauce, and slim sauce. We also got a side of fried mushrooms ($5.69). They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with plenty of room for large groups. Everything was clean, and the staff was cheerful, checking on us several times. There are lots of fountain drink options, and I tried their lemonade, which had just the right balance of sweet and tart. Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot. The chicken was crispy and hot, and though the pieces were a bit small, they added an extra one to make up for it. The sauces we ordered were pretty basic, but when we asked to try some different ones, they happily obliged. All of them were tasty and complemented the chicken well. The fried okra and mushrooms had a delicious coating and weren't greasy at all. Overall, it was a great experience with friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely check them out next time we're in the area.

Six shrimp was not enough for the amount of grits. I had to split my shrimp into 3 small pieces each to ration it out with every bite of grits to make it proportional. They should increase the shrimp size or give more shrimp. $12.50 for the dish is actually very reasonable but I would be willing to pay more with an option of extra shrimp or larger size. The oxtails came with 2 tenderness pieces over rice and gravy. Had a little kick to it. Flavorful. Lots of meat on the oxtail that I paired with the grits. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Oxtail was 10/10, shrimp and grits were great too. Just wished there were more shrimp. If we didn't have the oxtail, I would have been left with half of the grits and no shrimp. They did my over-medium eggs perfectly, and the brisket was nice and smoky and also surprisingly lean. Went pretty well with the other parts of the meal. I have to admit I was a little surprised the biscuit was a bit dense and dry--still tasted fresh/made, just a bit off in terms of size and taste compared to the rest of the stuff on the plate. We also got the beignets, which came with a nice bourbon sauce, but sadly a few of them weren't cooked all the way through. The interior was very bright (lots of windows) and clean, and the service team behind the counter was very pleasant. Also, I thought the price was fantastic for the special--like $14.95-for a very satisfying and overall well-made meal. We'll be back to try other stuff on the menu.

Yes, some of my friends and relations have found it amusing, but since there weren't any locations near my home, it was a fun addon to my itinerary. So, I was inordinately pleased to discover this Cracker Barrel now so close to home! I've enjoyed a visit at this location a handful of times, and since at least a month or two has passed since the last one, decided it was time for a chicken and dumplings dinner. Things started out a little rough, and got rougher. We arrived 30 minutes prior to closing, and waited and waited to catch anyone's attention to seat us. Finally had to interrupt a very lengthy transaction at checkout to ask if they were done seating for dinner. The hostess immediately apologized and got us seated. But then we had to go back and ask if anyone was going to take our order after sitting again unnoticed. The manager came out and took our drink order followed by our long-awaited waiter. The food arrived pretty quickly, but sadly, this was the worst part of the visit. The chicken in the dumplings was so incredibly salty I actually couldn't eat it. I hate returning food, but I had to ask if something could be done. The waiter consulted with the manager, and they brought out a freshly cooked chicken breast made "without any seasonings." This is surprising since I've had bland chicken before, but here there must have been so much salt left in the cooktop, this "unseasoned" version actually came out pretty perfectly seasoned. Three stars instead of two because of loyalty to the brand concept, as well as because of the excellent customer service provided by the hostess and manager. Both did their best to ensure a good experience, and the manager also asked for feedback after the meal. I'm pretty nervous about ordering from here again, but I hope some changes are reflected in the seasoning levels, and that there's a return to the former well-loved recipe.

We've always found the service to be warm and friendly, and the environment, with its quaint wall decorations and the little country store, to be cheery and charming. This last visit, though, made it seem like things are slipping a bit. There was no line, but we still ended up needing to get someone's attention (after about five minutes of waiting) to seat us, and then we ended up having to go get someone's else's attention (again after about five minutes of waiting) to come and take our order. The person who initially seated us and then chased down our server (Adrienne or Adrianne) was apologetic, but the manager, who came by to take our drink order because the server was still backed up with another order, was not. All of this was already a concern, but then unfortunately the food was way too salty--the chicken in the chicken and dumplings was inedible, and the trout I ordered was just past the borderline of being too salty. The meat in the pinto beans side dish was WAY too salty. So, just not really a good experience at a place that's usually been fine for us. We appreciated that when we paid our bill the manager discussed the quality of the food with us, but there wasn't really any gesture beyond that to acknowledge that multiple aspects of our visit were subpar.
