I saw this offer on the Baldini's website Burger, fries and a drink for just $5.79. That was a super deal, but turns out it's a year old and no longer offered! Someone needs to update that website as well as the menu prices shown. I find out now, that there is no deal, just the regular current prices! Which are raised to $5.79 for the standard burger with fries, NO drink! OK, still not a bad price compared to even Chili's or the Habit Burger's half sandwich, fries and a drink deal at $10! I went with the double cheeseburger here, with TWO 1/4 lb patties, cheese, stacked high with tomato. lettuce and onion (lots). Including fries it was just $7.79! This is way bigger and a better deal than any other burger deal around, that's for sure! For 2 bucks more upgrade to a double cheeseburger! You just order at the cash register, they give you a number and your food is called out at the grill behind you. Salt and pepper are hidden just to the right of the soda dispenser. There are no trays to carry you food here, so just improvise to carry everything. It's kinda dark inside here, so you have to look hard for all the stuff. Then take your food out to the sports bar dining area, where luckily they have napkin dispensers at each table. I'll tell you what, this is one big burger! Super tall, so open wide! Tasty with all the onions, tomato and lettuce with TWO 1/4 pound patties and cheese. The fries were fresh fried so nice and hot and crispy. Despite the prices being higher than the out of date website, it's still a deal for some super tasty food. No lines either mid week. I'll come back here and bring friends! Was enticed by billboard advertising burger basket w fries for $3.99. BUT walked into what I assume is the "smoking" section and my eyes started starting. Quickly walked through to their restaurant, it smelled of smoke so their Heppa filters aren't working well. Found out burger basket is at grill open air to smoking section... didn't last 3 minutes...no hazy smoke but the oder is too over powering; had to put my jacket over my nose till got outside. Thought I could order takeout, then I wonder if it would taste like cigarettes rather than BBQ. I know it's a casino but felt dungeon like, old, and musty. read more

This place was dirty and awkward. We came here for the Awful Awful. I know the original was a hole in the wall, but this was worse. The ordering experience is confusing. The bread on my burger was crusty and stale. This isn't doing the Awful Awful any justice at all. There were also way too many fries. The Brickyard at Baldini's now features the Awful Awful Burger that we used to get at The Little Nugget before it closed. But you know what? I like this Awful Awful Burger even better than the original. The beef patty is bigger. The bun is fluffy and nicely toasted. Just like at the Little Nugget before, you get more fries than you could possibly eat, but these are cut thinner and have minced parsley on them, which, again, I think are better than the original. If you have a Player's card, there are all sorts of specials. I am not a big gambler at all, but I got $5 off my meal. We always have fun at Baldini's and recommend you try the burger. Because it is in a Casino, kids under 21 are not allowed in. It is a very casual environment with lots of locals. read more

This place gives nostalgia as my grandparents and parents go here to gamble. I have fond memories of coming here with my grandma to pick up cheap eats. The smell of cigarette smoke will stick to your clothes, so make sure you are wearing clothes you don't mind having the smell stick. They used to have burgers, fries, or tacos for around $1.99 which was a steal! 2024 pricing had doubled to say the least depending on what you order, however pricing is still lower than going to other places. Another change is that minors are not allowed in the casino or the restaurants. This is a cafeteria style restaurant as you order your food and the make it for you. So at least you know your food is fresh. Today we went because we heard the grandchildren of the inventors of the original "awful awful" decided to bring back this classic burger. There wasn't a line during Monday afternoon and we were greeted immediately by Rudy who was very nice. He told us it may take 20 minutes for our orders to come out, but it's been years since we last had this burger so we didn't mind the wait. Fountain drinks is $1, however no refills. The wait was more of a 10 minute wait, which isn't long at all. This 1/2 pound burger with 1 pound of fries is not for the faint heart. I like how this burger still comes in a basket like it did at the Little Nugget in downtown reno. The red onion used to hurt the base of my skull because it was so fresh; this time around it was fresh but I didn't experience that pain. The onion bun was what I remembered that would fall apart so easily. The fries was seasoned the way it was before with the sour cream and chive flavor. We've had other awful awfuls at other locations outside of the little nugget and they weren't as good as the original. This version is the closest it's been to the OG! It gave me memories of eating at the little nugget as a high schooler and college student, which was nice going down memory lane! read more

I'm not a burger fan; nothing wrong with it but burgers have never been my first choice when I eat out but I saw the advertisement that the AWFUL AWFUL was back at Baldini's, I had to try it for nostalgic reasons because I've had the one from the Little Nugget and I figured, it's my duty as a Renoite. Fortunately, when I arrived at the Brickyard Grill, there was only one customer in line so I was able to place my order almost immediately. The ads on the billboard, the jumbo-tron and posters throughout the casino stated that the AWFUL AWFUL was $14.99, plus tax and a $5 tip, the total cost was actually about $20 and then the cashier said it would take about 20 minutes to make my burger. Okay I said and proceeded to pay and waited at the seating area/bar next door. I asked Siri to set a timer but it only took about 11 to get my to-go order. I received 2 boxes: a small box that contained my burger and a big box for the fries. The fries tasted good, it was well seasoned but it probably would have been better had I eaten it while it was hot. The burger was well composed: a good size patty coated with melted American cheese, sandwiched between two slices of an onion bun (which I heartily prefer over a sesame seed or brioche bun) and topped with the standard accoutrements: a leaf of lettuce, a slice of (red) onion and a couple slices of tomatoes, plus a dollop of a familiar orange-hued sauce (Thousand Island dressing, if I have to guess). I have to admit, my burger was cooked well, seasoned properly and kept its structural integrity to last bite. As a far as cost goes, $20 is too much to pay for a burger, even for a decent one but it's almost the same amount you'd pay at McDonald's now-a-days and would I prefer to pay for an AWFUL AWFUL burger over a McDonald's burger? Absolutely; hands down I will choose the AWFUL AWFUL over any fastfood burger. So with the food being actually good, the service was decent, and the price okay, I guess overall, I had a pretty positive dining experience. read more

We were in the area looking at cars and realized we did not eat before we left home so we popped in here. We did not have much time so this was a better spot that the restaurant. It was a Saturday and they were super busy and rushing to get the food out. We waited about 15 minutes as the cooks were pretty fast. We ordered the special burger and fry basket. The fries were really good and crispy. The problem was the burger and bun as both were on the grill too long. The meat was way over-cooked and the bun was burnt. It is kind of hard to mask the taste of blackened bread with the condiments. We were hungry so we ate it anyway. We used to go here once in awhile for a quick bite and it was usually better than today. I think it was not the same because it was a weekend and they get busy with only two cooks. I like the serve yourself drinks and condiments. The only thing you wait for is the grill food. The casino is slots only so we don't go often. We used to love the buffet they had years ago which always had good food. We rather eat here at the grill instead of the restaurant since the price went so high and does not match the food they serve. We will try the grill again during the week. read more

I can no longer recommend this place. They ran out of hamburgers and their basket deals are not a deal if they can NEVER get your order right. Multiple times I asked for fries AND a second side and I clearly ASK for both fries AND THE SECOND side and the cashier IS ALWAYS only ringing up ONE. FOR FUCKS SAKES, I wanted BOTH FRIES AND POTATO SALAD. Why is that so difficult for you? The food is decent. The food is not the problem. Getting what I ordered is the problem. read more

I've actually been here 2x and each time it was a good experience. Both times were with friends for lunch and socializing. This place is inside Baldini's Casino on Rock Boulevard. As we seem to be a right handed society, it might initially throw some people off when you enter and have to veer to the left to place your order. The menu is pretty extensive and the prices are really a good value. I have had the double cheeseburger which comes with fries for $4.99. A fountain drink is $1.00, but no refills. After you order and pay the cashier, they give you a number and you walk up to the grill counter to get your order. Each time I have been greeted and thanked with a smile by the cooks there. If you want to eat there, the tables and chairs are just outside next to the bar. The burgers are very juicy and full of flavor. And as i said earlier, this place is a great value and definitely present a challenge to the chain burger restaurants nearby. read more

I tried the Brickyard today. I had seen an advertised $1.99 burger basket. I know you get what you pay for but decided I would try it anyway. I was surprised. It was actually a decent burger. Looks like they use 4-1 or 5-1 preformed burger patties. I ordered the double cheeseburger for $2.99. It comes with a ton of shoestring fries and a 16 ounce drink. For three bucks I can't complain. I would recommend this place to anybody that wants to save some money while dining out. If you're looking for that juicy fat 1/4 pound Angus burger with all the fixn's ... this is not the place. read more
