This is a great place to eat. I usually get the 3 & 3 which is 3 wings and 3 strips. It comes with toast, fries and a drink. I think it comes with 2 dipping sauces as well. The staff here is always friendly. They get your food out pretty quick and always come by and check to see if everything was to your liking. They even come by and throw away your trash. They always have some nice music playing and the air conditioning is nice and cool. It's a very clean place of business. Plenty of parking and it's easily accessible from the main highway. read more

My husband and I have always been curious about Slim Chickens. Today we decided to visit for the first time. We got the 3 piece tender meal with Texas toast and Mac and cheese. I was surprised at the small size of the chicken tenders for the 9 dollar price tag. The chicken was ok as far as taste.The Texas toast was flavorless and stale. The ranch dipping sauce was also lacking in flavor and had a thin consistency for a dipping sauce. The mac and cheese was also not good and went in the trash. I cannot recommend this place. We came here in between baseball games. The service is fat and the food hot! Since it is across from a Buffalo Wild Wings, my son posed the question "which do you think is better?" We both had the 6 price buffalo wing meal. The wings were cooked just the way I like and the sauce was very good. The fries a little soggy but neither of us eat a lot of fries anyways. Next time I'll trade the fries out for veggies. So, for which is better I think depends on what mood your in. However, this last weekend we found ourselves down the road from the restaurant, so we decided to stop in and check it out. We came in on a Sunday at the beginning of the dinner rush, so it wasn't terribly busy but it wasn't quiet, either. We were a party of 9, and only two of us had eaten there before. The gentleman working the front took time to explain the differences in the dipping sauces, the sides, desserts, etc to my family and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the tastes offered. We asked if we could move some of the tables together and they assured us it would not be an issue. Our food came out quickly and correctly, and tasted amazing. THIS PLACE IS FREAKING AMAZING! They are so nice here and the food was above expectations. I tried going to the other location because I was going 15 minutes before close here so I tried the other location and they closed early. I was craving it so badly so I called this location. They let me put the order over the phone and stayed open a few minutes after close so I can get some amazing chicken. When I got there they were not rude at all but super nice. Been here a couple dozen times since it opened and have never had a bad experience. The drive thru can be a little slow but that is because your food is being made fresh and the wait is worth it. The chicken is always fresh and hot, tea is just the right amount of sweet. If I had to say anything negative it would be the location as it can be hard to turn left back onto broadway when traffic is busy. Don't be afraid to turn right and do a u-turn from the center turn lane if it seems impossible to exit left onto broadway.
