Slingshot has always been a good time but I feel like they've fallen off a bit. I went recently and about 40% of the games weren't working. They need to make sure they're investing in the games so that patrons can enjoy them. I do like the new interior. They've moved a few games and spaces around. I still think the frozen slushee is the way to go for drinks. After about two of them you should start to feel the drinks. The waiters and staff have always been pleasant with each visit. If they invest in upkeeping their games or new games I think they would deserve an additional star.

Fun hangout spot with lots to do. It's the Friday after Thanksgiving and we were looking for a place to entertain the kids and spend time with family and stumbled upon Slingshot. They have bowling, arcade games, oversized games like Jenga and Connect 4, putter ball, and corn hole. They offered free lanes to the kids and they had a ball. They have a self pour area with mostly beer. The selections for wine weren't my fav, but I tried them and didn't really like them. I should have went with the cider. At 8pm, they start rearranging some areas for their night crowd. We had to have the kids out by 8pm and we were running over trying to use up the game cards that we put money on to play. We noticed that they weren't running us out and there were a lot of other families with kids as well. We left around 8:40 which was enough time to tire out the kiddos before heading home for the night.

Used to be fun but they kick people out for no reason. My friends were asked to leave and when me and my friends asked what the reason was just so we could understand we were told "we can't tell you that" and they proceeded to ask others if they were with our group and kicked us out for no reason. The Mexican looking bouncer who put their hands on my girl friend shoving her to the ground for no reason knocking the breath out of her and when her boyfriend went to protect her three slingshot workers stopped him, trampling over her. The black bouncer held my boyfriend while the taller white guy tried to swing at my boyfriend but missed. Save your money and time. Sad that I we won't be coming back to this establishment anymore. I'd try Lost and Found instead. They don't disrespect people without a reason. Also threw some other non threatening guy out onto the gravel with unnecessary force and he was bleeding in the face after. The bouncers power trip. You'll probably get bruised if you come here. They don't even have good parking.

Slingshot is a fun spot to go with friends or a date night. We went on Saturday night this time and most of the m bottom area was a dance floor with a DJ and two additional bars. They offer variety of games and drinks! The music is pretty good. Mostly rock with a splash of rnb. The staff was nice and even offered to take pictures for a group of people.

Would not recommend for food nor is it pet friendly. Where do I begin? First off, the place claims to be pet friendly but the atmosphere definitely isn't. Everytime we asked the staff for something whether it was to clean up trash or broken glass up, they looked as if we were bothering them. Almost every section had leftover food & drinks never picked up. There were shards of glass all over the patio ground and their response was with a leaf blower which only made it worse. Afrer deciding to move locations, there were cigarette buds everywhere. Once everything was cleaned up and we buried or kicked the buds under the chairs, we got food only for that to go wrong as well. You self order at a kiosk and I ordered thai chili wings w/curly fries with shallots, chili and cheese. Once it came out, I was confused because of the size and the guy tells me the system hasn't updated yet when they even have an online menu saying regular or boneless. Then when I asked what the excuse was for curly fries and shallots he gave me the same excuse when there was no sign what so ever. Honestly don't waste your time.

Visited for a work thing. It was less than I expected but definitely satisfied with the service. Do NOT order the slingshot...it tasted like ground lime seeds...literally. All in all everyone was friendly, the games were fun, and the other drinks were good. Cons: food wasn't up to par but there's a cute brunch place with bacon bite appetizers at the corner literally next door and it was HOT for somewhere so large.

This was my first time here and we met for a friend's birthday celebration. It's a pretty cool spot to meet with friends for some fun and games, drinks and a little dancing if thats your thing. Pros: Nice size venue with multiple levels. Drinks were good. Mixed crowd of people. Nice looking & friendly staff Free Selfie Station Cons: Parking lot is congested &I was almost blocked in. The food was TERRIBLE! My sweet potato fries were burnt 2x, the pizza was chewy, the wings were not fully cooked! Half were soft, other side was hard. The fries were spicy...who had spicy fries...and how do you mess up bar food?? My expectations weren't high for the location, but I at least expected cooked food.... I spoke to the manager about a partial refund which he said he would do, I'm just waiting to make sure he kept his word. I would go again, just eat before you go

Not ideal for a weekday happy hour. There wasn't really anyone in there, which was fine but the vibrations were low. The music was a good mix and was up to date. We did like the beer wall. When you walk in, you get a wrist band and can refill your cup with different beers as the night goes on. This was cool for my gf because she just wanted to try all different types of flavors. They only had a online menu and there were no barcodes to scan, so you had to go to their website. Their staff sent us somewhere else for food options. Most of the games that we played were either broken or out of order. They did have a lot of ski-ball lanes as well as mini bowling. There were a lot of seating options, so I can see how this place could hold a party/ gathering. They did have outside seating but was closed, probably because of the weather but it did look nice. Good location. Scooter accessible.

This place kind of reminded me of queen park social except this was a lot bigger and gave more of a variety of different games and different options. My husband and I were walking around southend on a Saturday afternoon and stumbled upon this place. We didn't have an egenda in mind and just wanted to enjoy the outdoors. We walked in, and they are very spacious with a free photo booth in the front and multiple bowling lanes with ski ball games as well. They have a self pour beer section. You grab your glass, scan your credit or debit card, and start pouring. There is also a bar with seating if you decide you want something other than beer. They also have a room filled with arcade games, and I was sooooo stoked to see that they had GUITAR HERO! my all-time favorite, and I was there most of my time there. Unfortunately a lot of the other games we tried to play such as dance dance revolution, beer pong and a shooting game, they were either out of order or just ate up our credits so that left with limited choices. They do have small sections with a lot of board games to choose from, sorry, trouble, cards, etc. They have an outside patio, which wr made use off and two big games of Connect four. We went around 2 pm, so it definitely was not busy at all, which we loved, but I can see how it can get quite busy and packed during a Friday or Saturday night. Quite a good time. Recommend it if you want something casual and not a total night club scene. They do have attached paid parking lot beside this location, or if you're lucky, you can find side street parking.

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.
