This place is wonderful. I go and speak to Eric, I told him the problem with my car. He tells Me to wait ten minutes and then he checks my car and tells me that there is some problems with the wiring inside. So he tells me to come another day early morning. I told him that I would come by Monday morning. I go and drop the car off Monday morning and in just 2 hours he fixes the problem. I was really happy with how everything went smoothly. The only problem I had was that he didn't give me a receipt even when I asked for one. Eric said he didn't have any receipt to give me. I really wanted receipt for my records. But the job went smoothly so I didn't really push him to give me a receipt. read more

Just booked with another mechanic who had a slot open up for and labor will be $225-300 for 2-3 hours. My car needed an oil change so I decided to get it done from this place. I met Eric. He did great job changing the oil, fast and smoothly. Also, my car had problems on tires so he checked all the tires's if there was a problem and he found out that there something inserted on the tires, a steel nails. So he took it off and covered the small hole to stop the air flow on getting out. Overall, my car is now in perfect condition. I will come back again to get NY car inspection. :)) read more

I was looking for a 'go to' repair shop for awhile, as everyone knows how easy it is to get hustled at repair shops (I literally only lease cars going forward due to this lol). My girlfriend was due for an inspection on her '08 Impala, Eric assisted us immediately upon pulling into the shop. I knew the vehicle had previous issues (so figured it wouldn't pass inspection immediately), Eric advised us at to what issues she had with her vehicle, gave us reasonable price quotes for repairs that needed to be done. I had a leak in my power steering and came here because they had great reviews. First off I loved this place because I was able to sit close to my car and see everything that was going on! This may be normal for NYC living, but I'm fairly new in town and love the fact that I'm not in a waiting room far from my car. They were able to find and fix the leak for a low cost of a little over $100 bucks!! Which was great seeing as though it was in a weird spot and they had to saw and add a tube and some more stuff lol. The staff was nice and talked to me about what was needed before doing it. A friend told me about this shop and I had them fix my truck after an auto accident that practically demolished the front passenger side. It was repairable and they did a great job replacing everything. They told me about some things my previous auto shop had done wrong (I don't remember everything but the thing that really pissed me off was my previous shop couldn't even put the battery in properly...) They caught an issue with my transmission timing belt (if they hadn't caught it the belt would have snapped and blown the engine resulting in a total loss). Tom and the guys are honest and tell you what's wrong and what needs to be fixed. A friend of mine brought his car to them after mentioning them a bunch of times. He went there thinking he would have to have the transmission replaced (which his last shop had said needed to be done) but it turned out to not be as bad as that. They replaced some parts but the work was not as costly as he had originally been told. He was very happy with the results. Highly Recommended!!! read more

Had aftermarket brakes and rotors installed by SLK today on my 2013 Honda Pilot. They did the job perfectly the first time. I like that they didn't try to up sale me like they do at a lot of places and that they gave me a fair price. Best of all, they found the cause of an annoying clanking sound that came from under my car that was driving me nuts. Ka Fai was very professional from the time I asked him for a quote via Yelp to job completion. We brought our BMW to SLK to replace the rear breaks and to diagnose a potential leak of the windshield washer system. Aside from providing one of the best quotes that we received via Yelp, Ka Fai kept me informed during the entire day on how the work was proceeding and finished the job on time. In addition, since in his opinion there was no apparent leak in the washer pump, tank or gasket, he didn't even charge us for attempting to diagnose the problem! i needed a place to go to, to service my car and a friend recommended this place. i called and spoke with a staff who told me i can come right in without an appt. once i arrived, i was greeted by the mechanics and told them what i needed to get done. they have a small waiting area with tv and bathroom. it didnt take that long to be out, about 30-40 mins. i was happy with the service and price so this place became my go to for all my auto servicing needs. when my brake pads were acting up, i came here and they checked on them and ordered it for me. i brought my car back and they installed them immediately and price was acceptable. i plan on coming back for any future auto services with any of my cars. read more

I realized my car needed to have a tune up, and I went there not fully believing the hype I had received, I am a natural born cynic with these things forgive me. I got the shock of my life, I dealt with Tom, and he could not have been more professional and just a pleasant joy to do business with. He did my tune up quickly and I was in and out of there in what felt like record time. He also provided me with an itemized list of all the service he had done with my bill which to my happiness was well within my budget. I'd like to start off that I am extremely anal mofo, especially with my cars. Having dealt with mechanics who talk more than they know and ruining my rides, along with plenty of bad experiences. Recommended by a close friend after asking him a million questions, I was still skeptical. Inherited a 535xi from my brother, which made me even more cautious. Tom who is the owner, knows his stuff after talking to him for a little bit. In fact, he was probably getting annoyed by me, which I don't blame him. I would be annoyed by me. (I was watching as his mechanic was working on my car and a little assisting) Tom did a quick visual inspection on the problematic areas of the car and noticed my belts were literally on its last leg. Which most likely saved me from standing on the side of the road for hours. They only have 3 bays, which may be an inconvience, but more importantly, QUALITY CONTROL. The mechanic who worked on my car was a very chill guy and great attitude. Older gentleman, worked at a nice pace. He did something that was one of the rules I live by, he ASKED questions if he didn't know. Whether it was me or Tom and NOT go ahead and do something he wasn't sure of like other mechanics. I even joked with him that he was the only chinese mechanic, outside of the stealership to probably every change the transfer case fluid. (Difficult job) And he didn't even bitch about it, I did! Tom is a VAG experienced detailed oriented mechanic, I noticed he's part of a car club, the members pretty much drive all the models. He's a car enthusiasts himself, not just a shop owner. Which to me means a lot. Will be back to change the tranny fluid and filter soon. Think I've found my guy for my Audi.
