Never been to this location, but the coffee shop is cute. Ordered a matcha latte. 1. They say it's presweetened but it's honestly not that sweet 2. Ordered raspberry syrup in my matcha and I don't taste it at all. The color itself is on the lighter side, and it honestly just tastes more like milk. Don't think I'd order the matcha again, but I've had their coffee before and I've enjoyed it.

Love when a place has lavender as an option for my coffee, so good!!! The food we tried was average, nothing too special. The spicy jam was pretty good though. They give you a thick piece of egg on the bagel it was like sliding off and got messy, couldn't really taste the cream cheese but the bagel was tasty. They had seating throughout- at the bar, tables and outside front and sides of the restaurant with covers. It was pretty dim inside. Parking in the back and front, since it's a shopping strip there's a lot of parking you just have to walk in between the restaurants to get to it. Service was good.

Staff is always nice and my favorite location in the garden oak location. I have a usual order which is purple rain extra shot iced. Not sure if the syrup was a little off today ( they make it in house) but shots were watered down and there was too much milk not sweet at all it was a pretty drink that was not good and that never happens Grabbed 2 cookies and one alfajores - they get it from Michael's cookie jar- snickerdoodle and sprinkle cookies great and usual but the alfajores was probably the worst alfajores I have ever had unfortunately. If it wasn't labeled as alfajores I might have liked it

Like most, I had no idea that this location of Slowpokes existed. Tucked in the back of the shopping strip, on the far side, I felt like I'd discovered a secret spot when I arrived... if you walk from The Blond Goat, you're in for a treat. IYKYK. Similar to the other locations you'll find a menu full of coffee, snacks, sandwiches, salads, wine, beer on tap and (the new kid on the block Italian Sodas). This trip, I chose two new to me items. One Monster Mash Italian soda and a Cali sandwich. While I usually go for the pesto chicken panini, this sandwich is a new favorite. Is it something could make at home- yes, probably. Is it also something I'd rather buy from a spot that makes it right, yep! The sandwich itself feels homemade, and I personally wish more cafes prepared their food in that way. The customer service this trip had both hits and misses, but the most notable part of this location is all of the students! It seemed like middle and high school students filled 50% of the tables. While it's personally not my vibe, it does bring a youthful energy to the place. Since I'm in this area semi frequently, I'll def have to keep this location in mind if I need some caffeine!

Cute little coffee shop in the long point area. I loved the interior decor and the outside seating. Keep in mind it can get packed and there's not a lot of space. Parking is limited and we had to street park. There is a two hour wifi limit and you have to pay for it afterwards. The drinks were delicious and the service was good. We sat at the big long tables but it was quite messy and we had to clean the food residue off before we got our work laptops out. The big tables have stool like chairs which don't have a back, making it hard to sit for too long.

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS PLACE!!! I ordered The Slowpoke latte and it was amazing! I never know what to get when I try a new place out, but one of the employees recommended it and it turned out to be a great choice. My friend ordered a drink that she thought wasn't sweet enough for her taste. They had no issue providing her with some extra honey to sweeten it up. Amazing customer service! The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The weather worked out so we sat outside on the patio and soaked in some sun. They have plenty of locations to choose from, so if I you can't get to this particular one, I still highly recommend you finding one close and checking them out.

My go to items to order: Lazy latte, purple rain, berry parfait, ham & Brie croissant, salmon bagel, bagel dog. My favs are the parfait and croissant! Menu is pretty extensive and there's something for everyone. I've been here several times and it is very consistent. Staff is nice and very quick with orders. Great place to catch up with friends, study, or work.

I've been here a couple of times, just to stop and get coffee because my go-to spot closes early. It was pretty packed both times, with not much seating left in the afternoon and evening on a Saturday. I love the decor and ambiance. It feels very modern and clean, with plenty of seating and space for work, studying, or just hanging out with friends. My bf even remarked how nice the unisex restrooms are lol We got the same two drinks both times, the PURPLE RAIN and WHITE MOCHA LATTE. They required a bit of a learning curve because we like sweet coffee drinks, and we had to have them add vanilla both times. That's even after we requested them "extra sweet" (for an extra $0.25) the second time. They were shockingly not sweet at all, despite us requesting them to be. Thankfully, the baristas have been very friendly and helpful both times, checking with us after making the adjustments, if we'd like them even sweeter. Just great attitudes all around! One barista even commented that their drinks aren't very sweet, so I'm assuming this is a common issue with customers. Both times, after the sweetness level was adjusted, the drinks were great! I think we'll just have to request an extra 3-4 pumps of vanilla when ordering, and hopefully that'll do the trick!

Had a chance to stop by randomly driving the other day, was craving coffee and noticed Slowpokes. Heard great things about them but never tried it. I went with the pumpkin spice latte, liked that it wasn't overly sweet and they aren't heavy on the cream. Liked the vibes of this location - good music and a great place to work or study.

I never knew about this location. it's definitely ducked off. It is very nice on the inside. A good study place if you need it. Menu is full of all sorts of things to try and you know I did! I tried the beef dog, the chicken empanada, and the egg potato and cheese kolache. Let me tell you about this beef dog! My goodness! The sausage is great but what's really important is the croissant wrap around it. It's flaky. It's like and everything bagel. It really is perfection. It was a hit I needed to savor. The hibiscus lemonade is also good too! Part tea and part lemonade. The chicken empanada and kolache weren't my favorites but they are a decent breakfast item. The menu is expensive and the service was stellar! I'll definitely be back so don't hog the table!

My husband and I needed a pick me up in the area so we found Slowpokes on Yelp. We had our fur baby, Jade so we needed a dog friendly spot. We got the honey cinnamon latte, cold brew and salmon bagels, which were pretty good. We'll be back when we're in the area again.

Went here on Father's Day w dad and really enjoyed this business. Vibrant crowd, great decor and clean restrooms. A business is only as good as it's frontline workers and KEVIN was a great bartender, friendly and attentive. Great service! Great neighborhood location- we didn't eat but the menu looks healthy and creative. Tap beers, wine, espresso bar. Really good experience Probably a 5 star but we didn't eat.... Next time! read more

I've been working from home due to COVID-19 and came here to get a different scenery. This place is a hidden gem. Great staff and great menu. I will definitely come back to try their food. I ordered a iced hazelnut latte with soy milk and it was very good. Very spacious inside and they also have a patio that is dog friendly. They also have happy hour during the wk so will come back. read more

I like all locations of Slowpokes, but this one is my favorite. Although, Slowpoke - Spring branch is located in bit of sketchy area of the town, it is like a hidden oasis: it took me forever to find this place, but when I did, I immediately fell in awe. The inside area is cozy, with big wide tables for you to open your laptop and spend your afternoon with a glass of wine. If you go by the Happy hour, its only 5-10 dollars per glass. I plan to visit again to try the flat bread next time. read more

This place is amazing and a first of a kind in this area of spring branch! The customer service is hit or miss, but this more so stems from them being understaffed on those random rushes as opposed to the staff being rude. I completely understand and no stars off for this! I have had several of the appetizers and they are all pretty good. My favorite is going to be the hummus for sure, no questions asked! The pita bread is always tasty, fresh and has a crispness to it! So good! Also, the meal comes with carrots, celery, cucumber strings and also comes on a bed of lettuce. They always have rotating beers so there is something different to try each time too. The one things I cannot leave out....... HAPPY HOUR IS FROM 4:00PM-7:00PM Monday - Friday! It is very hard to find a happy hour past 6:00pm, if that, so this is amazing since I am not leaving the office until around 6:00pm. I love being able to meet friends for a quick happy hour drink and have a quick snack as well. The prices on happy hour are always great and not just $1.00 off or discounts on things people do not really order. If you have not been yet, you are certainly missing out. read more

Slowpokes is becoming a coffee institution in Houston. There new location is probably the best and most ambitious. Great food, coffee, wine and beer. I like the nightly vibe they are trying to create with a lively crowd, swapping the laptops for friendly banter. Good neighborhood spot. Highly recommended. Tip: I saw a couple girls bring in thier own coffee and soup, then occupy a table for several hours. Don't be that person it's not cool. It's a business after all. read more

Finally a legit coffeehouse in SB! The location is in the back of a strip center so you will need to use your skills to search for the location. The layout is expansive with an outdoor patio and ample tables. I love the honey cinnamon latte and breakfast tacos! read more

The reason to go to the coffee shop is for the coffee, I do not recommend this coffee. It is extremely bitter and the service is forgettable. The one thing I will say is ambience is good. I believe this is their third location and I just don't understand because the coffee is terrible. read more

Yummy! My go-to order is an iced oat milk latte. Pretty yummy coffee! Their muffins are also delicious. The only drawback to this location is the parking. There are mayyybe 6 parking spots outside and if they're taken, it's a little rough to find a spot sometimes. read more

Adore this spot. One of my favorite coffee shops and happy hours! You can't go wrong, but I love their cappuccino or hazelnut latte! I also like to buy their whole beans for coffee at home. The croissant with ham and brie is divine! I also really enjoy the cauliflower flatbread (again, can't go wrong). My girls and I love to split a meat and cheese board as well. New Slowpokes location in Spring Branch. This place was a little hard to find as it sits behind the main plaza, but it's a good-sized coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Patio is dog-friendly. It's the first week of opening so there were some kinks but the food and coffee were good. Interestingly when we got there it looked like most of the patrons were drinking wine. Overall a nice addition to the area that is sorely lacking workspace-friendly coffee shops. read more

I love slowpokes but this staffs location has got to get it together. Be ready to wait for at least 30 min just to get your drink and another 30 to get your food. It's very apparent that they do care that your food has been sitting there for the past 20 min. I ordered one empanada and not only did it take almost 30 mins but I had to go up and ask for an update. It was clear it had been sitting there ready for it to be ran. Not only that, but it didn't include the side of either the sauce or picadillo. Ridiculous. Do better Slowpokes. read more

Love this place! Music is the perfect volume. Creates a nice ambiance but I can still hear the person next to me. Plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff! I love the location on 34th but often found it difficult to find seating. This one is closer to me and has more space. Delicious menu. Good coffee. A nice addition to the Spring Branch community. This will be one of my new favorite hangout spots to meet friends, get work done (outlets available for my laptop) or just enjoy a coffee in peace. It wasn't visible from the street but I easily found it after walking through the walkway. read more

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite coffee shop currently! I love that it's hidden so you feel so laid back while you're there and it's perfect for studying or working, but also great for a drink with a friend. The staff was super kind and actually had conversations with customers. You can tell they really strive to make sure everyone has a pleasant experience. Oh and I was surprisingly impressed by the Sooo Meaty flatbread. I didn't expect much from a coffee shop flatbread but the bacon was delicious *drool*. I've been here a couple times and the food is phenomenal! Probably one of the best "chill study spot" food options I've EVER come across. For a very reasonable price too! The ambience is also really calming. The lights are a little dimmer and the music isn't too loud. I feel like I can actually get things done without having to spend an additional hour to "get comfortable" with my environment and free myself from distractions. The staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating!! Particularly Kevin and the other funny morning shift guy with a mustache and glasses (I am *so* sorry I didn't get your name)! They don't rush you when you take 10 years to deicide what you want to order because you're fickle af, even tho you spent another 10 years staring at the menu prior to coming to the counter... And they take the extra step to ask if you want to add flavors/items or substitute the dairy. A con I can see someone might run into is the 2 hour wifi limit (grab a receipt so you can get your log-in info). I don't have a problem with this because I am a compulsive person who feels the need to constantly order things if I sit somewhere for too long, BUT YEAH. If you plan on having a long visit, something to keep in mind. read more

We were driving through Houston on a road trip and decided to place a pickup order online. We got a flatbread and the chicken pesto sandwich, along with some iced matchas. We were so happy with everything! Ordering was easy, it was ready in time, and the food and drinks tasted great! I like how they had so many customizations on the drinks from milk choices, to flavors, to sweetness levels. And the atmosphere of the space is so cool too! Best coffeeshop in the Branch! Food is always good, very consistent, always great service. Plenty of places to sit, great patio in a cool secluded location. Love their nitro cold brew very creamy and smooth. Flatbread pizzas and panini are also always tasty. The solid selection of craft beer and wine plus happy hour puts this place as five stars for me! read more

once you find this place behind the strip center past the garbages cans there is not a single comfortable place to sit in this restaurant on Long Point. The coffee was good as well as my sandwich and staff was pleasant. Will only return if I want a to go order but probably not. read more

One of my new favorite local coffee shops! This place is definitely a hidden gem because it's at a secluded location tucked within a neighborhood. So far, I love all the drinks I've tried here! I've tried their specialty Honey Lavender Latte (called Feelin Lazy on their menu), Ube Latte, and Matcha Latte with pandan. All of them were delicious and made perfectly! They also offer unique and delicious drinks and a nice selection of shared bites, sandwiches, and flatbreads. The place is very unique and interior is super cozy and spacious with tons of seating - perfect for studying or dates with friends + family, and it really reminds me of a lot of aesthetic coffeeshops in Austin. I also like how they have an outdoor patio and I'll definitely be back to do work when the weather gets nicer in Texas. Their parking situation is a bit small as there are only a couple parking spaces in their lot but there's tons of street parking within the neighborhood and super easy to walk there. read more

I've become a regular in Slowpokes, and the employees know my face and name which I truly appreciate. First off...the food is heavenly. Seriously! I have gotten almost everything on the food side, and it has not once disappointed. One of my favorites is the Prosciutto & Fig Panino. Now onto the drinks...I of course have my regular few drinks, but I have branched out recently and found new favorites. A few of their top drinks in my opinion: Iced Mochas, Carmel macchiatos, and yes, CHAI tea latte's. CAN NEVER GO WRONG HERE:) I spend 8+ hours here weekly, and I am extremely grateful to the staff of Slowpokes for making my week so enjoyable!! Y'all are amazing!! read more

Place is very cute and nice outdoor seating. The staff was very nice and my latte and Proscuito+ Jam sandwich was good. The only issue I has was the Wifi cut off after two hours. I had planned to work there for a couple hours and asked about the wifi process when I ordered and was not told there was a limit. I wish I would have known I would have had to make a new purchase every 2 hours to keep using the wifi and I would have spread out my orders. I had spent $18+ on two items and didn't want to purchase an additional item to use the wifi more - so I left. read more

Well, as a long time resident of the Branch, I was hopeful for this new addition to the neighborhood, but after visiting, I'm not impressed. It is not kid friendly at all. I think $4.38 for a black, unsweetened iced tea is highway robbery. The chicken salad is goopy and tasteless. They allow smoking on the patio. And I got charged for chips that I did not get! I did enjoy my Prosciutto & Fig Panino and my daughter enjoyed her When in Roma sandwich, but wished it had more than three tiny dribbles of balsamic vinegar. We won't go back. read more

I love this place! The food is good, the coffee drinks are delicious, and it's a great vibe. The only thing is that the music is just too loud to relax and talk with the people at your table or to study/read. There are just enough speakers around the place that you can't escape the music anywhere... other than this - I'd give it 5 stars! read more

Food service is SLOW. Hence the name Slowpokes. Had to ask for everything including utensils. Beautiful sunny day to eat on their back deck, but too many bees. Ended up dumping my food and leaving. read more

I'm so glad I passed by this location on my way home one night. I was able to take a quaint walk to Slow pokes this morning and it was worth every step. Hidden in the corner or a Spring Branch suburb lies this quiet and relaxing coffee/tea house. Every employee there was so nice and inviting. They gave me many recommendations on foods and type of teas. I ended up getting the salmon bagel, which was delightful. Such a great place to spend you morning or to get some work done. read more

There are books abound, along the walls, in the bathroom, everywhere. I had a glass of Experience, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a good pour, not too little or too much and the taste was deep, well balanced and smooth. Since the event took place around dinner time I also had a Fig and Speck flatbread. The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.

Hubby and I have done quite a bit of wine tasting, it's kind of a hobby for us, and this was one of our better experiences. Overall, we had a great time with the people and the wines (took home 6 bottles) and will go again. In fact, I already bought another Groupon for 4 to bring my parents when they are in town in May. On the positive side, I must say that the caramel foam cold brew I ordered was pretty good. The combination of the rich caramel flavor and the smooth cold brew coffee was a delightful treat.
