This is the only place that I know have Grape slush as an option and they always have my Green Apple slush. I been coming here for a while and they never disappoint. Just be aware that if you pay with card then the price is a little higher than when paying with cash. The older man is always there so I believe he is the owner and he's very nice. I got their churro here once as well when I was with my friends and it was alright. If you get a regular drink, just remind them to put less ice and they are usually receptive with the request. read more

This is the best neighborhood boba shop. I've been to tons and this is my favorite by far! Not corporate, feels like your neighborhood spot. Homey, welcoming, comfortable, genuine. A great, safe place to chill, do work, doodle (as you can see by the hundreds of drawings on the wall made by customers! Lots by professional animators and artists who work in the industry nearby.) However, I haven't told you the best part by far yet. Truly, the best part of Boba Loca is Miguel. You'll know him by his smile, his friendly "hello!", and his warmth. Miguel is everyone's favorite and I am no exception. Find caricatures of him on the wall labeled "Boba King!" because he is! He can make any drink you want - he is so gracious to customize any item to fit your needs and he has been there for over 20 years I believe!!! He is truly a gem and I could give all 5 stars just for him. However, the milk tea and boba are also the best I've had - perfectly cooked pearls, delicious milk tea that is not watered down. 100/10. Boba Loca has a lot of great options for boba AND açaí. I got the brown sugar smoothie which was definitely really sweet (as expected due to the name) and it tasted great. Service was also quite fast and friendly with all of their lovely fan/local drawings posted to their wall which creates such a heart warming environment. I only came here about 4 or 5 times because when I went there (not to many boba shops in Burbank) 8 years ago was only because there was no variety of boba shops. I always orders honeydew slush. The boba was just okay. I remember it being very dusty inside and drawings all over the walls. The fact that it's still around in 2023 is a good sign. Solid 3 stars. read more
