I stopped by this cafe today in the morning. I was going to visit the store next door but came early and they weren't open yet so I stopped by here to get a cheesecake for my uncle. I did the street parking here across the meter street, if there no available meter spot then you'll have to find a parking garage or lot. I came in the early morning so this cafe was not busy at all. They had some good options on cheesecake and I couldn't decide which one to get. I asked the lady working the cashier which one is the popular one and she told me the Nutella cheesecake or biscoff cheesecake so I went with the biscoff cheesecake. I got the following : -Iced Pistachio latte with oat milk 5/5 -Chicken Musakhan 5/5 The chicken was very flavorful, fresh and rich wrapped in a very thin crepe like style. It's a must try. -Cheese Fatayer 5/5 It was a soft and fluffy triangle shaped- pastries. It was filled with savory cheese. -Meat Fatayer 5/5 It was a savory triangle- shaped pastries stuffed with spiced ground meat. It was fluffy, soft and flavorful. -Biscoff Cheesecake 5/5 There was a perfect balance between cheesecake and biscoff 5/5 -Chocolate with Pistachio baklava with walnut - Honeycomb 5/5 It was golden, soft, airy dough filled with cream cheese. It came with honey to spread on the top (spectacular) - I also ordered baklava with walnuts, baklava with Pistachio and chocolate baklava with Pistachio. Perfect place to stop at before or after a show at Pantages. I like that for a cafe, they're open very late. I came at 6pm right before a show and they had lots of pastries still available. I got the rose milk cake on my first visit, and I really enjoyed its sponginess. It was very similar to a tres leches cake. On my second visit I got the Dubai cheesecake, and this was also a hit for me, which had the right among of chocolate, kataifi and pistachio. The drinks can be hit or miss depending on what you get. The strawberry lemonade is very rich in taste but the amount of ice they added nearly reached the brim of the cup. I noticed this was the case for other people around us sitting down. I got a matcha latte and rose latte on separate visits, and didn't find either to be worth raving about. The rose latte especially doesn't taste like rose at all. Overall, worth it for the pastries alone and the drinks are a good pick-me-up before a 2.5 hour show at Pantages. read more

Great service welcoming and informative. Traditional coffee and espresso drinks also teas and specialty mixes to try. Sweet or savory items available great when you're on the go or waiting in line for the production show and your tummy growls. The honeycomb bread is drizzled with honey and sesame seeds with cheese inside the dough balls, very substantial. Walked over here with one of my girlfriends after ballet at Equinox right down the street. Easy stop. Quick, sweet service. In and out but still felt super taken care of I got the Yamini latte (mofawar). Piping hot. Cardamom, a little cream. Had it without sugar and it still wasn't bitter at all. Strong in a good way. I'm literally still feeling it My friend got the Spanish latte. Definitely sweeter. She loved it. The space is really pretty. High ceilings, warm tones, big lantern-style lights. I've never had turkish style coffee's, so disclaimer I am a big newbie here. I first took a sip of one of there most popular drinks, a cream and cardamom iced coffee, and I thought I had made a hugh mistake. It tasted nothing like the Starbucks iced americanos I'm used to. I added a little sugar because that's how I like it and I continued to sip away. Then I really started noticing and appreciating the silky delicate flavors that were subtly being presented. And the more I drank the more I really actually started to LOVE this coffee. I accepted the fact that this ain't no American coffee and that this is a delicacy of unique flavors. I'm a coffee lover, and what a treat it was to add this new style of coffee in my life. I was fully energized after, not overwhelmingly, and I cannot wait to go back again. This place has plenty of dessert options as well, from red velvet cakes to Turkish sweets. The inside is elegantly decorated with crystal style chandeliers and clean tables. Friendly service as well. When you're in the area, why not try something different? I've never had Yemeni food before so was happy to see establishment within walking distance of the theater. We had their coffee and a spice of rose milk cake and saffron milk cake. Kids had a refreshing mango drink which they lapped up. We also had a large honey bread that didn't really taste like honey. Had all kinds of other flavors like sesame and salt. Not very sweet at all but a great collaboration of flavors. Must try. Coffee is like chai. I was thinking it would be just another corner cafe, but I was surprised to walk into a Yemeni themed cafe that is run by people with style. I had just seen a band perform a Persian song the night before, so this fit right in with the vibe I was feeling. The coffee list was extensive, not just flavored espresso drinks, but actual different roasts. I was a little overwhelmed by the choices and lack of sleep the night before, so I went with a latte. It was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the espresso roast was well balanced. Since I was on a mini vacation I opted for cheesecake for breakfast. Not just any cheesecake, it was pistachio! It had the right amount of sweetness while letting the light nutty flavor come through. There were also many Yemeni style pastries and breakfast offerings to choose from. It all looked so delicious! Went to this location on a fly when we were in the area and I knew it had to be good based solely on the location: Hollywood & Vine is one of the most iconic corners in the city. We tried the Biscoff cookie Butter Tres Leche cake and it was good. We got the Spanish Latte and the Yemeni Latte and they were so good. Well, our drinks lived up to it. Second trip to Sana and this time I enjoyed my late so much more! I ordered the rose late with almond milk and it was perfect! The temp was right, it wasn't too sweet and the rose flavor was prominent. I also really enjoyed the texture because it was very creamy, which is sometimes difficult with almond milk. The place can get busy, so expect to wait for a table but they do have bar style seating as well. And it's so close to the Pantages which makes for a perfect spot after a show. Such a great place for coffee. You can always taste the richness. Been here many times and it hasn't disappointed. I got the Spanish latte and my girl got the pistachio latte as suggested by the staff. It needed some sweetener, but other than that, flavor was great! We also got some desserts. My girl got the tiramisu milk cake and I got the pistachio cheesecake. They look really sweet but they're not. Which is perfect. My cheesecake was a creamy delight with pieces of pistachios atop. The SANA'A Coffee House feels like home. As a Greek person it's nice to see Greek coffee or in this case Turkish coffee sold and its most authentic state. The cuisine is across the board from baklava to chicken schwarma baked rolls to cakes and every version of coffee manageable from drip to Greek. I love my time here. Was in the area and realized that this new cafe is in place where Starbucks used to be. I really wanted a matcha and was conflicted between this location and the boba place next door, but decided to try Sana'a instead. The place is very spacious and they did a great job with the remodeling, as it does look very nice. The girl that helped me was very nice, she was attentive and polite, despite them being busy. They had different matcha lattes and I decided to try their pistachio matcha and saffron milk cake. I had ordered to dine in, and they gave me a buzzer while I wanted for my order. My order didn't take long, but they game me my matcha and cake in to go containers, when I saw people that were dining in with actual glass cups and plates. My iced matcha latte was descent, but it tasted like a regular matcha, I had ordered a pistachio matcha and it had no pistachio flavor whatsoever. I would give it a 7/10. The saffron milk cake on the other hand was absolutely delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and it had the perfect amount of milk, and it was fluffy and spongy, honestly it was great. That to me was a 9/10. I'm definitely going back to try their other cakes, as they all look really good, as for their drinks at least on their matcha lattes, I would skip it. read more

This place is becoming a favorite late night spot because they're open until midnight & 1 AM on weekends. This is inside, ground floor of the historic Taft building. Finally got to try Sana'a! It was absolutely deliciousss. I went during the grand opening so they gave us free monawar coffees which is a creamy cardamom coffee. I loved it so much.
