Nice service but my matcha banana latte tastes like banana milk, not matcha. Maybe their other drinks are better. I know a lot of cafes in LA don't make good matcha lattes.

Blueberry Muffin. Had 2. The other one is long gone. Ate it fast..

I stopped at this Cara Vana Coffee Shop today around 1pm and wanted to give this place a try. I am so glad that I did. This is a very pretty, somewhat medium size coffee shop that offers a lot of great, yummy baked goods from breakfast items: fresh muffins, cupcakes, bread, avocado toast, sandwiches, donuts, croissants, and a lot more.. I received a very nice welcome from the lady behind the counter and I placed my order with her to eat at the shop. She was pleasant, helpful and kind. Ambiance was very soothing, calm, relaxing, clean and they were playing soft music overhead. They have stools and a nice comfortable couch to sit and enjoy your drinks/food. They offer a variety of hot & cold coffee, espresso, latte, tea & other beverages such as water, soda etc.. I got a medium sized hot Mocha drink and asked for Oat Milk, Also, got 2 Blueberry Muffins and that was it for today. There's street parking and they have a nice patio. I can't wait to go back to try their other types of food. There is always a next time.. Thank you Cara Vana Coffee Shop!

Maybe it was an off day but the drinks were not it :( I got the matcha latte while my friend ordered a vanilla latte. 2 simple drinks that should be a staple at any solid coffee shop, but they were sadly a disappointment. Both drinks were super bland, watery, and had wayyy too much milk in them. The matcha powder itself didn't seem fresh and looked diluted--usually it's a vibrant green but when I saw the tint of the matcha I was already worried. For food we got the acai bowl and chicken chipotle sandwich. Now they were pretty decent for a cafe, and I would be open to trying other food items on their menu. Acai bowl looked a bit thrown together and there were huge chunks of peanut butter/chocolate, so don't assume it's a well-crafted and layered bowl. Sandwich was alright too--the bread wasn't heated up though. Service itself was great, the girls there working were super chill and quite friendly. No problems to note here. It's also a fantastic spot for study/working as well. Ample seating (especially in their outdoor area) throughout the cafe. They close at 6pm even though the physical menu at the cashier says 7pm. Just FYI. Also, the AC in this place is no joke. Layer up if you get cold easily lol.

The service here is wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. Very cute café, it does get busy but the lines move quickly. Metered parking only, but we were lucky to find a spot right out front. Plenty of seating, but also easily ready to go. Our Matcha was absolutely delicious, fairly priced and well-made. Great option if you are looking for a tasty drink in the area!

Cute little place to sip and maybe work or hang out with a friend. Quaint and comfortable. The staff are super nice and can help you if it is your first time like me. I got some yummy vanilla latte and atmosphere. Cool place.

This is a quiet, cozy coffee shop offering quality coffee and matcha. Honestly, this is one of the best horchata matcha lattes I've had. Every coffee shop will jump to boast their ceremonial grade matcha, but this place can boast their quality horchata too. The girl behind the counter was also so sweet and helped me choose which drink was best for me. Will definitely be coming back!

    Nice menu!

I had to leave the car at my mechanic on Lankershim and Vanowen, and I needed a place to sit for an hour or so. I jumped on Yelp and found Cara Vana Coffee Shop and thought, "Okay, looks nice, give it a try." So I hopped into a Lyft and here I am now on their extremely comfy shaded patio, sipping an iced Horchata latte made with oat milk. I just finished lunch here. For only $10, they made a beautiful turkey croissant sandwich with plenty of fresh lettuce and tomato and cheese and little side of cubed watermelon. They even toasted the croissant and served it on a ceramic plate! Decor here is low-key and earthy and pretty. Plenty of nice seating, including high countertop stools and couches. The patio rocks. They have a huge fan going, and there's plenty of tables and wicker chairs with comfy backrests and umbrellas. A rustic brown picket fence encloses the patio and lends a homey vibe. All the baristas are super sweet. Sometimes, baristas are just okay, but the people who work here are really, really, really nice! So glad my car needed to be in the shop or I never would've found Cara Vana.

It's a great spot. If it was more convenient to get to, I'd probably come very often. First of all, cute spot. There are a few seating comfortable seating arrangements. One close to the entrance and another to the back. If you want a small table, that's also an option. Coffee and food there are great. Solid spot for coffee and the food there is just YUM. They have oily foods to serve as hangover cures or healthy alternatives if you want something very clean. The variety of things they serve here is just amazing. It's even better that the prices are reasonable in this day and age while having the quality and variety. Service is solid. The workers are very polite and efficient with their roles. Strangely enough, I'm only marking it down due to inconvenience. You have to park on the side of the street (or sometimes a block away at a residential area) to get to the shop. If it wasn't such a pain to get to, I'd come here regularly and highly recommend it to others as well.

Such a great experience this morning. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The space was super cute and the vibes were great. I was getting my tires done next door. I ordered a Vanilla Latte with oat milk and the avocado toast. Everything was yummy.

Nice little hidden gem in Noho! Fellow yelp reviewers are right! This coffee hit the spot, the back patio area is just perfect for a beautiful morning enjoying your coffee. A must try for any coffee lovers. Not over priced! Get what you pay for.

    |[ u p d a t e ]| Although I love the coffee and even the green burritos and cute atmosphere here, I asked for some hot water because it was freezing cold with the AC on while it's raining outside and was met with resistance stating they normally "cannot give hot water" even if I brought my own mug (I suggested in case cost of the cup was an issue). They made an exception and gave it to me this time though... given that I spent $20 for a coffee and burrito, I don't think hot water was too much to ask for. |[ c o l d ]| I love a good study spot and I believe in supporting businesses that truly care about their customers. But I'm disappointed that this one does not seem to care overall, so this lowered my rating to a 2.75 stars rounded up because I still appreciate the sugar-free options here. Unless they change this, probably gonna visit less given parking is already a hit and miss on the street. Hopefully they realize how cold it is in here and become more considerate to customers overall esp given that it's a small business and there are numerous other options (+ their price point is high).

I recently visited this cafe and noticed the environment was fairly peaceful which was nice. I ordered an iced mocha but I was surprised when I received it. The texture was very grainy which made it difficult to enjoy and I ended up throwing it away. In my experience, an iced mocha should be smooth and creamy so this one seemed improperly made.

Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.
