Great place to grab a family dinner, lots of fun and fresh options! Seating indoors and outdoors and always a good time.

    Smack Daddy and cheese bread
    Julie M.

Our first visit and the service was great. Ordering was easy and the young lady was personable. The only thing I had an issue with was the sides a d dessert. Their monitor shows pictures but no where on their menu shows the options or prices. For a Friday we were able to sit inside with no issues. Service was timely based on being a wood fired pizza place. I wish out cheese bread would have come out before our pizza. We ordered a personal snack daddy pizza. Shared between myself and husband. It was enough for our appetites. The cheese bread was quite bland. I wish it was served with an option of a dipping sauce or more seasonings added to it to give it taste. The pizza was tasty though. Just enough flavor. There are a variety of pizza options to choose from.

Sunday night pizza...I chose smack pie because it allows you to have the pizza you want...personal, no compromises with your family on which one to pick lol. Anyways, I chose the Smack double bacon. It came pretty quick out of the oven. Very tasty. My daughter had the original with olives. We also had a custom pizza which was equally delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. I was able to satisfy my pizza craving at a reasonable price. Thanks Smack Pie!

Pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms, olives and bell pepper....Delicious!

Mushrooms and olives are always my favorite on pizza. I decided to order that as my only toppings with pesto and a drizzle of ranch on the top. It was delicious!

Pepperoni with bacon and pineapple, sausage with mushroom and red onion, artichoke pesto, vegetarian

We ordered 4 pizzas to-go to bring back to our Airbnb for dinner. We got pepperoni with bacon and pineapple, sausage with mushroom and red onion, artichoke pesto, and vegetarian. I'm not a thin crust type of girl. But it hit the spot after drinking all day.

It has been a few years since I've visited Smack Pie, but I have yet to find a pizza place with bbq sauce as good as theirs SO when we were in town looking for lunch... we decided to go back! I'm pleasantly surprised that their menu is nearly exactly the same with the same wide variety of toppings. My favorite has always been the build your own option with bbq sauce (again, top notch), fresh mozz and regular mozz, pepperoni and spicy pepperoni, sausage, buffalo chicken, with a ranch drizzle. YUM! A BYO 3-topping was the max with additional toppings for I think 50 cents each. Not a bad deal considering it's hard to find add-ons for under a dollar at most places, but definitely miss the days when a BYO was all the toppings you wanted - although I do understand why that's probably not a smart business practice. Pleased to report that the quality hasn't changed much if at all, everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly, and they have delicious garlic knot type things now, too. I was a little sad that they take the orders at the front register now and don't walk you down the line "Subway style" to choose your toppings and watch them make it. I always enjoyed that because then I could ask for double toppings if it wasn't enough of something. I remember getting a salad-pizza combo for a steal of a deal before. Today's visit blew my mind because our two pizzas and a side (plus tip) was $50! A sign of the times, I suppose. Would recommend for a day date or pizza on-the-go.

Gluten free crust with Date my Bacon, and hot honey

Love the outside seating and the windows that open up. Very friendly and welcoming place. If you don't know what to have, they will make lots of suggestions. Pizza, so good. I had a gluten free Date my bacon and added hot honey. My mouth is watering just typing this out. Hubby wanted to share his so he can have some of mine. I passed on his. I didn't really care for it after eating what I ordered. He had chicken pesto on gf crust. It needed a punch. Next Time we'll add to it. They do serve beer and wine as well as non alcoholic drinks. Very family and pet friendly place. Overall, great pizza and great ambiance.

i love smack pie!! think of blaze or pieology but way better. they have so many toppings and combinations. i got pepperoni, arugula, and finished it with buffalo sauce. sooo good. hits every time and is so simple yet so good. andy got the bbq smack down (not pictured) and sophie got the bee sting. both were so good. they had the perfect amount of toppings and all the flavors went so well together. these pizzas are seriously the perfect size too and i love thin crust so i prefer these pizzas over regular thick crust.

First time visiting and I ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza. The customer service was excellent and the pizza was delicious! I will definitely visit again when I am in town.

That crew has it down to a science, awesome to experience. The food was so great! We had a stone fruit Caesar, corn (two inch cuts of cob in a sauce that was delightful) and a pepperoni pizza. We obliged, but that was a service mistake I guess. Because once we were moved, every single table in the entire restaurant ends up getting some form of food on their table before the appetizer we ordered, fried potatoes, was brought to our table. I was literally looking for our waitress to complain as our food was coming out the door. As for the potatoes, my wife and I both thought they were average, and not worth the steep price...for fried potatoes. Now for the pizzas. Both my wife and I were happy with the pizzas. Both were tasty and cooked with the wood fired method I love. I was not the biggest fan of the crust, I'm a crust snob, and while the texture of this crust was great, the flavor was lacking. Again, overall, pretty good, despite the early slow service. But if I'm driving for pizza, I'm heading to Pizza Norcia.

We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.
