The manager assistant at smart & final at 13439 Camino Canada, 92021 his name is RICKEY was so rude & unprofessional, the lotto machine had a sign saying Quick picks are currently unavailable, so that means you can still play your slips or buy scratchers. I inserted $40 but it turned out the machine wasn't working at all, so i told RICKEY & he was so annoyed & rude. He said why did you put money it's out of service. I said your sign doesn't say out of service. So he said call California lotto & he asked me to leave or call the cops [ call the cops for what, what have done] unfortunately we've been spending over $4000 a month at this store shopping for my restaurant. This store has very poor management, I've attached a photo of the sign that was posted on their machine.. RICKEY shouldn't be employed by smart & final he's a bad image

    Some stuff for thanksgiving.

This store has a nice selection it's not as big some of there other stores, but still got most of what you need. There shelves are stocked and clean and faced nice. There meat department was a little low in selection cause they where still getting there load in. One thing I like is that there turkeys where full witch was nice so I was able to pick a good size turkey. There produce was full clean and fresh. There employees or nice and helpful and asking if you need any help that's was my biggest concern I come to grocery stores and you walk around and no employee asked you if you need anything, but when I come here they actually ask you if you need help with finding everything all right. That is a reason why for the majority of me giving a five star rating on top of having their clean stocked store.

Smart & Finals appear to be taking over the grocery scene all over San Diego so it's not surprising to be finding them all over town and so far I have been please with their product and service. I stopped in this particular Final to pick up a number of items. The main item I needed was some avocados, but I was not pleased with the Mexican imported ones they had, so I passed. However, I did find the large bag of "On the Border" tortilla chips that I love, some very large mangoes at $1.49 a piece, some adobada chopped pork for tacos, and some peppermint herbal tea that I I just ran out of. It was on sale too! The staff members were pretty nice, asking me a couple of times if I needed any help, and the girl at the register was quick and efficient. The store was well organized for the most part, except for a couple of sections they were restocking, so boxes were scattered about. Oh yes, I learned that this location has a Sushi vendor called FujiSan Handcrafted Sushi so I paid them a visit.

Good smart and final extra location. It's next to a 99¢ store. They have a bakery and large fresh produce section. Lots of parking.

I stop by for some lunchmeat and half gallon of milk; $ 14.58 ... in my opinion that is a little pricey. The store is very clean and well stocked. You may want to bring coupons.

Awesome job on this Blaze and the monster machine cake!

I ordered my grandson's birthday cake and I was unsure how it was going to turn out but it turned out fantastic! She asked me to give her creative liberty and I'm glad I did. Everyone thought they did an awesome job. I was so happy I ordered my younger grandson's birthday cake here as well and was pleased with the way his turned out too.

He was patient as my toddlers each wanted to "pay" and allowed them to help with the transaction as well as placement of groceries.

Needless to say I made it a point to keep an eye out for why and make my own judgement. I gave it 5 stars because there was a young man (employee) that was taking a handicap cart in and saw that I was trying to back up into a spot but a cart was behind me. He came over and moved the cart for me and then told me to have a great day. Wonderful attitude! THEN the young woman who checked me out was extremely patient with me and so sweet. I forgot my card and had to get my cash from the car. I didn't end up getting everything I wanted because I didn't have enough $ but she wasn't irritated by it! THANKS Food 4 Less for this pleasant experience!

In the past you use to be able to come here and get pretty good deals but that seems to be long gone. Came here could barely find a basket to shop for food. The produce seems to be pretty fresh. There are some hotspots here and there that some of the produce could be a little bit fresher, especially with the tomatoes and the avocados. The other fruit and produce seem to be pretty good. They do have a smaller section of organic produce that seems to be fairly stocked well but price a little higher than normal. The staff is always friendly here. I've never had any issues with checkout. The parking lot could be a little cleaner as there is a lot of homeless that are in the front of the store and on the side of it. They also have security so that's good. This is not my typical store that I would go to, but I have and will when I'm in a crunch.

Well, almost all health conscious, but those tempting bakery goods you see or even the chocolate bars of all kinds. But, they have something for everyone. I love how they are focused on offering Organic, Non-GMO, and health-based alternatives and supplements to their shoppers. I bought one of my favorite protein on-the-go and delicious heavy-duty packets where all you do is buy some milk and pour into the packet and shake vigorously, and you are on your way. It's protein packed with low sugar and carbs with yummy flavors to choose from. My favored is the chocolate, but apparently that is everyone's favorite as they did not have available. They only offered the Cookies and Crème which I selected today, and they also had Strawberries and Crème. I have to walk in and stick to my list or I can be easily sidetracked here and majorly tempted with so many flavor-packed foods they offer . I also was impressed because they have a Smoothie Bar which is situated right next to the Deli for all the Smoothie lovers. The also sell adorable gifts anytime you need that. And, of course beautiful bouquets of mixed flowers. As I said, they have it all! I am leaving happy and satisfies as usual!

Peggy was very helpful in my search for BB cream, which there's less options from what used to be available years ago. Great customer service. This store looks open and clean. You need a code for the bathroom, which is in the vitamin department. As soon as you walk in, there's a beautiful flower/plant display. The produce department looks nice and vibrant, with organics available. The bulk department is great for nuts, trail mix, dried fruits, chocolate and snacks. I picked up some Sovereign Silver Colloidal Silver spray, dermae moisturizer and day cream and Burt's Bee BB cream. We also picked up some cottage cheese and nuts.

I hadn't expected to be swooned before breakfast, but I was. It started with a glance at the deli counter. Behind the glass counter you can see the glistening meats turn slowly on the spits. I knew it was early, but I asked for a chicken shawarma wrap. "Five minutes," the man replied. And just like that, he was gone. After five minutes a woman appeared in his place, calm and unreadable. She told me she couldn't make a shawarma, but she could make me - and then she said something in her native language and made a motion with her hands. These were words I didn't recognize. Not even close. "I'm sorry, what?" I asked. She repeated it, as if I didn't hear her. I listened again, and I still didn't understand. There was a pause between us, but I was completely captivated. She said, "It's a sandwich". I nodded and smiled. "yes, chicken, please." Then it began, she went to the baker, giving him instructions, he began shaping a fresh loaf just for me. I watched, transfixed, as the dough came to life in his hands before disappearing into the heat of their homemade tandoor oven. Moments later, it emerged, warm, blistered, and perfect. She was there to catch it, like it belonged to her all along. She took it and split it open, gently, then added the chicken carved straight from the spit, as it was still turning. On to fresh cucumbers, crisp onions, a generous smear of garlic and yogurt, a dusting of spices. Nothing was careless but she was mechanical and every movement deliberate. As I watched, I know that she made the sandwich with a quiet care and with her hands as if every step mattered. When she finally pressed the bread together and wrapped it, there was intention in it. That was something made just for me. I didn't see any like it written on the menu. I took it in my hands. It was still warm. I could smell it and decided I wasn't going to wait long before first bite. Sitting at a table outside a coffee shop, the first bite was everything at once, juicy meat, crisp veggies, rich yogurt. The warm bread pocketed with the great flavors unfolded in a way that felt balanced and complete and brought the whole experience alive. It filled me in a way I hadn't expected, like a fleeting connection that somehow lingers longer than it should. The whole experience felt almost intimate, because she had taken it upon herself to make it truly satisfying. Each bite was unconscionably shaped with thought and attention. While it wasn't love, it was more like a morning fling. Definitely one I didn't plan and the kind you don't question. But it's the kind that leaves you full, a little dazed, and already wondering if you'll ever find your way back to something so satisfying. That particular store may seem a bit offsetting for some. It might be its location. Or the decor. It is shaped more by culture than design trends. There is a lived-in charm to it where authenticity matter more than polish, and every corner feels like a small piece of home. The workers communicate in generous, full voices of their native language in an open way. It's not an angry or offsetting way, but they are very open and at ease in their environment. I also really enjoyed the $9 a la carte lamb shank and the French Feta-style cheese if very rich and creamy. Both get thumbs up!
