I work from home and my computer is my source of income. Ken picked up my computer from my doorstep within 15 minutes of my call to him for help. He was able to repair my computer by cloning the hard drive. He installed the new, faster, hard drive and delivered it to me all in under 2 hours. He saved my day, week, probably month's worth of income that I would have lost if I had to buy a new computer. With chip shortages and skyrocketing inflation, it would probably have cost a fortune to replace it. Things have changed a lot in the last 7 years, though, and I was just stumped. I always like giving my business to local places, and I liked that they had the word speedy in the name. Sure enough, they got back to me quickly...to say that there was damage to the motherboard. Oops... I guess I'm not the computer expert I thought I was. I figured this was going to be where they try to sell me an expensive motherboard, but I was told it would be cheaper if I ordered my own. While I didn't enjoy having to spend the extra money, I still had a smile when I realized that my computer was in good hands. Once I got them the new motherboard, they basically had to build an entire computer from scratch, because everything connects to motherboard. But, they cut me a deal with the price. It would have been a couple hundred dollars more if I handed them the parts and ask them to build it. Everything works beautifully now. And, I enjoy talking about geeky old-school computer things with the people there. While I don't like to admit that I can't handle things, I know where to go if I have any issue with a computer.

I feel the price for service was very expensive given the work that was done vs the work I…read morerequested. There is a $60 fee just to look at the item, then the "total repair fee" minus the $60. The bare minimum of work was done on my unit. And unfortunately I have since learned that I overpaid big time. The cost of my repairs elsewhere comes up at about 50% of what I paid. Definitely shop around folks.
