I should have been suspicious and listened when Yervis (sp?) the 20 y/o owner told me the batteries weren't any good. When he replaced my iPhone SE battery, it was dead. He charged it for over 30 mins, it barely charged. I charged it when I got home until it reached 100%, but even with the Lower Power Mode, the battery died down to 8% within 6 hours, far worse than what my original battery held. Yervis was very secretive about where he kept the battery, but I suspect he took my legitimate Apple battery out of my iPhone and replaced it with an old, dead battery from another iPhone kept out of sight. I have tried to reach the "store" with no success. I left a message and if I don't hear back by COB (Close of Business - today) I will be contacting my bank regarding a fraud claim. When my phone rang and I picked it up, and kept saying "hello", the person hung up on me. The young "entrepreneur" told me how he was making so much money he was going to open another "store".... I can't help but wonder how he's gotten so "rich" from a mall kiosk???? read more

I should check the business out first on Yelp first before I got my iPad repair here. I wouldn't have ever bought my iPad for repair to Smartfix. There employees sit next to each other without six feet apart and I don't see them cleaning the iPad since it's covid. They don't wear gloves. And they didn't fix my iPad properly and didn't leave voicemail or text messages. It's not a professional business. read more

I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro when visiting family near by. My brother in law told me about this place and I gotta say he was right. It only took 45 minutes for him to change my screen, and he even fixed an issue that I didn't bring up to him. All in all it cost $153 (taxes included), comparable to Apple ($275) and other places ($245), it was a great deal. Not to mention it came with a 6 month warranty! read more

I dropped my iPod off and after checking in weekly for over a year, they told me the owner changed and they didn't have my iPod anymore. Not only did they steal my iPod, but I had the pleasure of paying them to do it. They didn't refund my deposit, they didn't get my iPod back. Instead, they shrugged. Coincidentally, as I stopped by to make sure I had the right name before I write this, I saw a woman yelling at them for the same thing. DO NOT GO HERE. They replaced my screen just fine and quickly. That's not the problem I have with them. I went to the tysons one and other screen repairs for my Google pixel but these people here try to charge me $200. They look online to eBay and Amazon to make an arbitrary number on the spot and charge u more. The guy said "my friend, your screen is expensive. $110 + $100 labor" which is a scam when I got it done for $100 flat at Tyson's. They also lied to me.on the phone when they close vs in person. Once I told them I'm going to call Tyson's to verify their price, he got nervous and tried to haggle me to $110. I said no, you tried to scam me and got caught. We finally did it for $100. I only did it there because I was in the area and needed my phone that night. Do not go here. These guys who work there are unprofessional and try to upcharge. There was a guy before me who they did the same thing to and he said he'd be back in three weeks once he saved enough bc they charged him so much. I don't want anyone else to get scammed. Never again! This is the first time I have used them and had them tell me lie after lie. I asked to have an iPad fixed and when he did not have the part he called someone and told me no one else in the mall could fix my iPad the same day, this was after he looked the part up on Amazon to see what to charge me to fix a cracked screen. All he did was phone a friend to keep me from going to the mobile store on the lower level beneath him. Which I did anyhow and left with a repaired iPad. He then looked at my iPhone and said it could also not be fixed but he had an iPhone 8 he could sell me. He promptly removed my SIM card and placed it in that phone. This triggered his phone carrier to assume the phone was stolen and locked up my SIM card! I lost everything! Even Verizon could not undo what his phone company did. I used to recommend Smart Fix to everyone. I will now recommend that find some where else to go. read more

I'll give three stars because he did a great job of doing it quickly on the iPhone 7+, however the color looks terrible on the phone now. He said "it's not apple and theirs is more expensive." Probably one of the worst phone repairs I've been to. They gave me a screen that is so dim that when in sunlight I have to stare for 5 mins to recognize what I'm reading. My wifi wasn't working...they took the screen off and replaced the wifi cable and now it's perfect. I have an older iPad and they said that was probably the reason. Cost was reasonable and Simon helped me. He took the case off and put it back on for me as I had two little ones in tow. So happy with the service here that I will drive all the way from Arlington to come back when I need to. Also I had gotten the screen repaired before at Landmark mall and they bent the metal where the charger goes in and it was hard to charge. Smartfix bent it back and now I can put the charger in with no problem. Thanks Simon...and to the dude who left a bad review and was waiting for someone to show up (gave one star), there are two of these Smartfix kiosks in the mall. Why didn't you try the other one? Cracked my Gold Galaxy 6s back, maybe shattered is a better description. Insurance wanted $199 to replace a working phone with a black one. Only needed a new back cover. Smartfix replaced back cover with nice new Gold one for 1/4 that price. Simon was very careful to ensure no damage was done to the phone's WiFi and other components. Simon also advised me to check with my carrier to ensure there wouldn't be issues if I traded it in. Very impressed. read more

I contacted the company before going to their location. I saw they had 2 location in the mall. When I called I asked how much it would be to repair the screen of an iPhone 5. They told me $70. I get to the top level location and told them I called earlier and was quoted $70 they said no it was actually $90 because of a lcd or something. I went to the lower level and actually talked with the guy who answered my call. He knew who I was and said the same thing.. "no, $20 extra because...same thing they said upstairs..." They all seemed to know this information and said it very quickly when I asked about screen repair...yet excluded it from the conversation I had with them on the phone before coming. I guess whatever to get you in the door..... I was not greeted when I came to the lower level so I patiently just waited some time passed by no hold on please nothing......the cell phone repair people next door smiled, so i went over and they offered the same fix for $60. read more

It gets the screen replaced and the screen replacement is well done. However, the quality of the screen is simply not good. The colors are dull and off- not as vibrant. All my pictures and everything on my phone functions but the images I are so dull. It's so disappointing. Please go to the Apple store instead because they'll only be the only place to give a screen that was the same as your previous one and of the same old quality. read more

This place sucked. I Came to get my phone fixed and they didn't have the parts to fix it which was fine, but when the parts got in nobody repaired it on sight. I waited 3 weeks and when I went back it still wasn't fixed. The person that fixed it did a shitty job because the screen was not attached all the way. Customer service was shit, they probably thought I was a kid so they treated me bad but I'm 21. I highly recommend not to go her if you actually want a good repair let alone good service. The day I bought my daughter's iPhone, I bent the poorly manufactured sim card slot and was beside myself freaking out about ruining a $650 phone. These guys fixed it, for free, with the whack of a hammer and a smile. They recommended a screen protector which I purchased. I'm so glad I did. DD shattered the screen protector in less than 3 months (but at least it wasn't the phone!). SmartFix quickly replaced it. Then, today, I popped in because now her headphone jack wasn't working. Well, they fixed that, for free, with yet another smile. They also fix Samsung phones. I dropped mine and shattered the screen on an incredibly busy day where I couldn't afford to be out-of-reach. I ran over to the mall and they had my phone working perfectly in less than an hour. I really cannot recommend SmartFix enough. They're great! read more

I went into to get my sons Iphone six fixed because it had a busted screen and some water damage. When I brought it to them and asked for a time estimate and cost they shrugged and said they would need to take it apart to no for sure. I said sure and went to sit at the Starbucks to wait for them to be done, but even seeing that there are two people in there small kiosk neither of them moved a muscle to try to fix or check it out for a good 30 minutes. I reluctantly said nothing and after three hours of waiting i paid much more then i was expecting and waited for what seemed like a decade to complete the task. read more

I was recommended to them by Square Trade after breaking the glass on my Droid turbo. I had to wait almost a week for the new screen to arrive on site. But once it was in I received a call, made an appointment and within 90 minutes after I arrived the phone was repaired. Was sent here by SquareTrade for a broken screen repair under warranty. The gentlemen said they do not work with SquareTrade and I would have to pay for the fix...I showed him my e-mail and he then called his boss who told him the same thing. I paid for the repair and got the receipt. Now after a few months they are not replying to SquareTrade to validate my receipt, because ironically SmartFix could only print a receipt that says "miscellaneous repair" and this is not accepted by SquareTrade. After SquareTrade e-mailed them a few times I called. I was told there was no manager on duty and to try later. I demanded a phone number and finally received a fake one. Their website phone number goes nowhere. It is so nice to be treated like this. I will never go there again or recommend them to anyone. What a waste of time, money and stress. I am prepared to dispute with my CC company to get my money back at this point. read more

I emailed them a photo of my son's broken phone screen and within a few hours I received a reply explaining they could definitely fix the issue and they included a price to do so. He even offered installation of a tempered glass for his screen at no charge. From the representative answering my email to the employee at the kiosk, they were patient in answering my many questions and provided a competitive price for the repair. I only rated as 4 stars because the repair took about 1.25 hours when they said 30-40 minutes. read more

The location at the Springfield Mall is terrible! I went in for an easy fix that I've had done on another device previously - a screen repair on an iPhone. They "fixed" the screen, but in the process they removed the connection to the switch allowing me to toggle between vibration and sound. While repairing the second issue, they damaged the M7 chip - the motion chip - and now my phone won't rotate orientation. I've spent over 4 hours trying to get to a manager but am being prevented by staff. They broke my phone, plain and simple, and now they are refusing to fix it! read more

Went to the Springfield va location to get a quote for my Ipad screen repair. The guy who served us didn't have a clue. He pressed the home screen button on my ipad and the screen was black. He was confused so I had to tell him it was switched off. I switched it on for him then he couldn't get passed the swipe screen, I explained to him it was because the screen is cracked you have to rotate the ipad for the swipe screen to work. He then gave us a ridiculous quote and said the LCD needs replacing as well as the screen and it would take over a day to fix. There was nothing wrong with the LCD all it needed was a new screen. I took my business elsewhere, in which i had it confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the LCD and got it fixed within the hour and at half the cost quoted by Smartfix. I don't think it is a good idea to have a member of staff work there with such little training. I am so glad i went elsewhere and saved myself over 90 dollars. read more
