Ate here a second time while traveling in the area. Food was good. Service was good. Not my favorite steakhouse, but a solid choice. Nothing stands out as fantastic, but nothing bad either.

DELICIOUS! So glad we decided to stop by here. I believe it's a smaller chain of restaurants but it sure had a nice local feel to it. Service was great and once again, another very clean and well taken care of facility. Also, in my opinion it was the best mixed steamed vegetables I've ever had. All of the food that we tried was great!

Montana Mikes for Lunch with my Wife's High School Grad Class of '64. My Wife ordered a cup of their Vegetable-Beef Soup and I went with one of their Premium Sides, loaded Mashed Potatos w/Cheddar Cheese & BACON. The Loaded Mashed Potatoes were pretty good and sticky - and I liked that, but the 'loaded' part was $1.49 extra for a little Cheddar Cheese and a sprinkle of Bacon Bits - this is 'Not Loaded' like one would expect. My Wife enjoyed her soup and it was just enough. They also provided everyone with Fresh Bread Baskets and Soft Butter - but the Bread seemed not to be baked enough, was really 'Dough-eee'. Em was our Server and she was Awesome, and earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award.

The drinks were strong! The steak was overcooked, asked for medium well and received well done! It was chewy and bland! The rolls were dense but tasty, the cinnamon butter was good! The Mac and cheese was great! The deserts were huge but tasted good! Honestly, I probably wouldn't choose to come back here again!

Montana Mike's is a decent steak and burger restaurant in Greenfield, IN. When we walked in, my husband and I both said it kind of reminds me of an upscale Ponderosa. Everyone was super friendly that we spoke with, and we received a warm welcome. The restaurant has a large, full- service bar you can dine at with several large, comfortable booths and tables with wide aisles. Lunch specials are offered Monday - Friday 11-2 pm with 6 lunch specials for $6.99 and lunch combos from $11.99. We were meeting friends from New Castle and splitting the driving distance by meeting in Greenfield. Since we arrived just before they did, our server brought a basket of their truly amazing rolls with our adult beverages. I could have eaten a basket of rolls by myself. We started with appetizers even though most of the entrees came with soup or salad. We ordered the thinly sliced, hand breaded onion rings that were tasty. Then, after finding out Bob liked stuffed mushrooms, I placed an order since neither of our spouses like stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were so creamy and delicious. I will definitely order again. I had to try the French Onion Soup, which held its own, but wasn't the best I've ever had. The menu has a wonderful variety from steaks, pork chops, ribs, chicken, seafood, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and combo meals. So many entrees sounded great, which made everyone's decisions tough. Between the four of us, we ordered the 2 bone-in pork chops with baked potato and green beans. The pork chops were semi- tender, and the baked potato and green beans were good. The second entree was the grilled Ahi Tuna Steak with wasabi butter served with a side salad and broccoli. The next two orders were exactly the same being Sirloin Beef Tips over mashed potatoes (not rice) with grilled onions, peppers, and mushroom gravy. Each of us agreed that dinner was delicious and we'd like to try other entrees. I so wanted to try the Rocky Mountain Mudslide for dessert, but I was so stuffed. Next time, hopefully, I'll leave enough room. I thought I would remember our servers' names, but I have forgotten now. She was an excellent server (5/5) who hit the ground running. She was on top of each request, friendly, used dishes were removed quickly, and she had a beautiful smile during the entire dining experience. I'm sure we'll have another experience to split our drive, so I look forward to visiting again.

Our first visit to Carnegie's in Greenfield to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I was disappointed…read morethat the online booking tool did not allow me to enter a special occasion so the restaurant had no idea it was our anniversary. There is apparently no difference in service. My hubs ordered a glass of merlot and I ordered their lemon/blueberry martini. The merlot was nice but the martini was out of this world. My new fave drink! We started with the asparagus dip and again, the best we'd ever tried. We ordered their smothered chicken and an off menu pasta with sausage. Both were incredible. I wanted to try their pasta so I ordered a side of fettuccine in herbed butter. It too was lovely. The venue is in the basement of a former Carnegie Library. It's a little dark and has a speakeasy feel. We turned the lamp on our table to a brighter setting to see a bit better. Our server was Chris. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the food, business and building. The GM, Jeremy, gave us a tour of the upstairs portion of the building where they hold specialty events. Overall, we loved all of our evening and were able to have this experience right at $100 for both of us. We'll be back!

This is one of those libraries, making it a special building. The new ownership has added a patio on the front. Nice umbrella tables and chairs and a pizza plaza in the back They bake wood fired pizza in the evening The menu is an all day menu. They have about 5 sandwiches and 1/2 order of pasta for lunch. Otherwise you can order anything off the menu. Their menu includes steaks, etc and is a little pricey . I had the breaded tenderloin. It was not your usual. It looked as though it had been breaded in some kind of cheese mixture. It was pan friend and the underside of my tenderloin looked like a carbon copy. It was burnt. I ate about1/4 of it. I did not care for the breading. My friends had the tenderloin and a French dip sandwich. She took the French dip home for her dog as it was too tough to eat. We had a great wait staff that checked on us and gave us time to catch up with each other Since this is an old library, there is no elevator. It is necessary to walk down 20ish steps to the main dining room. No matter what shape you are in, those steps are a hazard Would I go back again? Not for lunch, maybe dinner or pizza.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. There are several other wonderful restaurants in Fortville which is great for me as I have several choices. I never would have guessed that this tiny suburb would have such epic cuisine!

Stopped in for lunch. Downtown Fortville. It never looks like there is a lot of parking…read moredowntown, but I've always been able to find a spot fairly close to my destination. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
