I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Nguyen for about 3 years. I came to him with issues resulting from my previous dentist that, in my opinion, was lacking in completeness and accuracy. Upon my first visit in 2021, I immediately was impressed with the modern facility and what I know to be top-notch equipment. I was overall very impressed with all of the staff as well as the doctor. They were all very friendly and the doctor was very honest and didn't try to push services/up sell which is what I feel like a lot of other places do. Additionally, their prices are VERY reasonable! So this past Saturday in the middle of a million things I had to do because I had people coming for a BBQ and a 90th birthday party for my grandma on Sunday I stopped to have a quick bite for lunch and as I ate a taco I heard an abnormal "crunch". Realized that a crown on MY FRONT tooth had not only come off but probably because it was so old when I bit down on it all the porcelain broke! Omg! What to do?! I called Brite Smile only because I thought they may be open on a Saturday afternoon and even thought they were they could not help me. Next I called Smile Dental Care and INCREDIBLY they were able to see me! The ENTIRE office staff was SOOO nice and Dr. Nguyen was SOOO nice and explained everything to me and gave me options. Needless to say I left there with a temporary front tooth that I am very comfortable with, it looks great! No one could tell the difference! This was an important weekend for me so this meant so much to me! I'm PRAYING my insurance accepts his claim because if they do WE GOT WORK TO DO! This is what happen; My Mom was a customer here for fist time dentures, and while being fitted the dental assistant mentioned the mouth mold was too big, the dentist said it was fine. Well, it wasn't! The DENTURES DON'T EVEN FIT in my Mom's mouth & are EXTREMELY PAINFUL for her to wear! When she took them back, the INCOMPETENT & RUDE DENTIST said he made them too big to smooth out the wrinkles around her mouth! You do not say things like that to anyone, especially a woman! Dr. "N", you're not doing anyone a favor by doing your job wrong! Also, when my Mom asked for the color of the teeth to be white, he said she was too old to have white teeth! Who does he think he is! She's not looking for the fountain of youth, she just wants her smile back! He talked down to her and treated her like she was stupid! I got 15 teeth pulled and was quoted about 1900.00 for the process. After the teeth were pulled they said I owed more money for a total of 3500.00. It was to my understanding that after a few months when the swelling went down about 4 to 6 months that I would need an adjustment on my dentures to fit them properly. I went in for my adjustment and they said it would cost me 300.00 more dollars! From what I understand that was suppose to be included in the total price! I'm upset with their dishonesty!
