I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. I was referred to your office by a friend and came in specifically as an emergency patient. I was told that the specialist was available today and that the emergency procedure could be completed. At no point was I informed that the wait would be three hours. Instead, I was placed in a room and left waiting for nearly two hours, only to be told afterward that the surgeon was still behind. This information should have been communicated upfront so I could make an informed decision with my time. Taking time off work is very difficult for me, and this visit resulted in my entire afternoon being wasted. To then be told I would need to come back is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable, especially given the urgency of my situation. This experience showed a lack of communication and respect for patients' time. I expected much better, particularly when coming in for an emergency procedure. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that other patients do not go through the same situation. now I have to wait 3 to 4 business days to get a refund! read more

I am a 7-year client of Meadows who had a 3:00 appointment on Thursday, and because of July 4th traffic, I arrived at the office at 3:10 and was at the desk at 3:12. The lady at the desk informed me that they had already given away my place to another customer. I told her that it was 3:12 and I had not yet met the 15-minute allowance they have for their customers. She agreed and told me that they want the customers to show up on time, but she will work it out. I told her I had a 4:30 appointment across town and had limited time. I sat down and waited over 20 minutes with no correspondence from the front desk. Finally, in frustration, I got up and demanded to see a manager. Later, I was informed that I was 'rude,' but I feel I was just frustrated because they had given away my spot and were nothing to help me meet my 4:30 appointment. Finally, a man in a white coat who identified himself as the owner came out to talk to me. He did not apologize for giving away my spot or having me wait without correspondence. He told me to leave because he was informed that I was 'rude'. I said I was not rude but frustrated, and that I was standing up for good service. My statement went in one ear and out the other as he would not look at me and just kind of whatever. Then I heard what really upset me and is why I am writing this. He said the word "3:15"---like I came in at 3:15 and everything that happened to me was now okay. I told him that was not true, which went in one ear and out the other. It is unfortunate that the owner could not be honest and own up to making a mistake of putting someone in my place before being twelve minutes late. Unfortunately, they had to lie. As a result, I am looking for a new dentist, and they lost a 7-year client--which didn't seem to mean a thing to them. read more

Update...I had 4 Crowns done today. In and out in 2 hours and 30 minutes...no pain. Dr Chu looks so young but he's a great Dentist. His assistant Mariko also wonderful. I scheduled a cleaning which they hard press try to sell you on an under the gym Leaning which I've had in the past and don't want. I want a basic cleaning like I've always gotten in my 41 years of life. Needless to say they won't even let you make an appointment for just a cleaning. This particular procedure "their only cleaning option" is a significant money out of pocket after insurance. Total procedure was $1600 and paid over $800 Oop. Well once they got me in the chair and poked at my gums they then of course try to sell me on the under the gum cleaning. I said "I just want a regular cleaning." Had a crown replaced. They did not disclose that the molar crown was not metal but pure porcelain . They charged me hundreds more for it . Metal on very back molars are recommend. Also, I had no infection going in and got an infection from the visit and had to go on antibiotics and a root cannel. read more

Best Dental Practice Ever. Kind, compassionate staff. I am a fan of everyone here. Love Renee who helps me w/ my X-rays & assists me in some of my treatments. Renee is one of the best people here, & every time I have come in for a procedure, she checks in w/ me, no matter how busy the clinic gets. She has beautiful energy & is an amazing human being. The front desk is simply wonderful & they really care about their patients. Marina & Meg are so pleasant. If I had any say, they should all get raises (& Renee too!!) They take the time to explain the payments and procedures w/ insurance coverage, treating you like rock stars b/c they know coming to see a dentist can be daunting. I also like the lady with red hair, though I interact more w/ Marina etc. I found this place a year ago when I moved to the area. My original dentist here was Dr. Abigail Ruiz & then when she moved away, I was assigned Dr. Ellis. Dr. Ruiz was so patient and listened to all of my teeth shenanigans + life issues. I never felt like I was going to a dentist. It was almost like therapy :) Dr. Ellis is also very kind. During my last visit, we had to replace a crown & he was concerned that the first two numbings didn't take. This can happen when you are numbing the back tooth areas. Even though the office closes earlier on a Friday, all of the staff stayed late to take care of their patients. I have been here for 3 cleanings, seen the Periodontist for gum grafting, seen the Endodontist for a root canal and crown, and back again for another crown. I recommend the laser gum treatment for cleanings b/c as you know, gum health is corollary to all other health conditions (like your heart and cholesterol etc). The Periodontist here is really great. I followed his rules with "not speaking for five days" to help preserve the integrity of my gum healing. My graft turned out perfect- post-procedure. (I got really good at texting my kids / partner during that time period. I even wrote a hand-written sign when I had to go grocery shopping @ Albertsons to let them know I couldn't speak due to a recent dental procedure. The cashier made me laugh when he said "I thought you were gonna rob me!") I digress.... Over the early summer, one of my crowns got adjusted three times; Dr. Ellis was patient & reassured me he has seen other patients that require a few adjustments. The most important part is that they want to get it right so your bite is correct. I can tell this is a place where teamwork + camaraderie make the engines run smoothly. I once took a selfie & sent it to my friends and partner as my procedure was taking a while. (Proof of life- ha). They were all like, "You look so happy," LMAO and this is coming from someone who was getting a crown done. So there's that. read more

Fantastic experience! I went in for a routine clean and checkup. I am currently pregnant and the entire team made sure that myself and baby were safe and comfortable the entire time. While getting my teeth cleaned, the dentist shared invaluable information to help maintain and care for my sensitive gums. I walked in without an appointment. I was in excruciating pain. Wanted to die. From the ladies at the reception through the x-rays and then help from Dr. Ellis giving me novacain so i could relax to explain what I needed done on my dead root canal tooth. It is no secret that the thought of the dentist scares most of us but we love the feeling once we walk out with a fresh clean smile. I put off looking for a new dentist because I thought my smile was white and decent. Little did I know.. what a reality check! I went in with a goal for my tooth gems to be removed and wanting for a better smile. First off the front desk staff super welcoming. My hygienist Alicia was super sweet & informative.. plus she made me feel very comfortable rather than insecure during my cleaning. Im excited to show her my at home care progress for my check up in 3 months. My dentist Dr. Chu was very calm and nice. He removed my gems and left my teeth looking great! Best of all was Desiree,my benefits coordinator. She went over pricing and insurance with me and helped me schedule all my upcoming appointments. Her positive attitude and amazing smile made me feel like investing in my teeth won't cost an arm and a leg & also is doable. She didn't try to upsell but if anything helped me understand what was necessary. Also wanted to thank Mariko for my X-rays. I get super shy while looking at my not so great teeth but she got it over with fairly quick and complimented my hair in the process. I moved to the Temecula area about 2 years ago and started using meadows based on their reviews. I wasn't super impressed with them but wasn't disatisfied either. As others had said they did offer me the deep cleaning but they weren't pushy about it. Where things turned ugly is when my 16-year-old mentally ill daughter went in for a check up. Just because somebody is mentally ill doesn't mean they're not competent. They treated my daughter abominably. Had I known I would have been in the room with her. She came out in tears. read more

Do not go here!!! I went in to just get a tooth pulled. I was lured in to a onlay with a tooth that didnt even bother me, was told I needed a deep cleaning. Brought the paper work to show me what it would cost my jaw dropped. Then was told that I should do the onlay first so insurance would cover it, I sat in this denist office for 8 hours while they messed up, what I now believe was a perfectly fine tooth that now bothers me nonstop. Needless to say BIG BIG SCAM. didnt even fix the problem I went in for THAT DAY and had to go back to get that tooth removed. NEVER again will they get my money. I made an appt for cleaning and was told they had a special $59 price for new patients. I showed up for my appt and after e-rays, I sat in the chair for 1.5 hours before being given a estimate for "extra" services I needed totally $1900.00! My daughter went in for pain in her tooth. She ended up needing a root canal. The receptionist came in to go over the cost and get approval to move forward. She only showed me one option, which bothered me because there are so many types of crowns. The bill was going to be 1100.00. I immediately said that was wrong and checked my insurance plan summary. She blamed it on her computer system when she came bk and said the bill was actually only 135.00 but if i wanted the crown made in house it was an additional 375.00 for a total of 510.00. Those are two very different options in terms of cost. I worry they are overcharging people who don't question. When we came back for the actual crown they were running way behind so my daughter ended up sitting in the back for over an hour before her procedure started. I dont recommend this dentist and will be looking for another. read more

I am so happy with the team at Meadows Dental Group. They are so kind and you can see that they all get along great. I feel so home town there and comfortable. Which is exactly the vibe I need at a dentist vs. cold staunch, rude, and untrustworthy that I've experienced at past dentist offices. Who knew a dentist appointment would be an enjoyable experience! I'm sad to say that I will never return and I was referred. I had previously been this office 3 times. The staff and culture has really changed. I had a horrible experience and my mouth is still sore with a metallic taste from a simple cleaning. I go to the dentist every 6 months and I have never experienced such a horrible appointment. I've never had a dentist use anything but a manual scaler during my cleaning. Especially since I use an electronic tooth brush daily. The dentist used some sort of electric scaler that was so painful I thought I was getting punked. She said it was "more efficient" It was the worst feeling ever. They also were trying to persuade me into a lot of dental work that I did not need. My teeth were polished in the most sloppy manner ever as I left with globs of paste in my mouth. When I thought it could not get worse, the dentist was literally pulling the floss out of my teeth horizontally instead of up and down. I ran out and I will never come back. read more
