The dental assistant and dentist herself where very nice people. I became ill and missed my appt. The front office sent me a message telling me that they had "waived" a cancellation fee. The second time I had to reschedule due to my immune system being weak and vulnerable I had to cancel a second time. I couldn't afford to have dental work done while my immune system was weak and vulnerable. I received a bill today and I was charged $225 which I believe was imposed by "Murieta" she attends the front office and does billing. I wonder if the owner (dentist/associates) are aware that she is charging patients "no show" fees regardless of valid reasons. Then again I have NEVER been charged a "no show fee" by all the dentist I have seen in my 40 years of seeing a dentist. I sent them a letter telling them that they have lost a patient as I don't plan on returning for dental care.

The office is clean with two bathrooms, TV in each room, magazines and 6 seats in the waiting room, coffee/water bar, and a small parking lot. Dr. Ivo is so honest, kind, and knowledgeable - he loves to compliment the kids, interact with them with a huge smile, communicate clear steps to them, and more! He takes his work seriously and gives clear instructions to staff to ensure a successful process. Other dental offices are interested in making more money through unneeded services, manipulate patients, have lack of intelligent staff, or have lack of emotional intelligence/communicative skills from both staff and dentists. Earlier this week, I spoke with a friend who had a tooth implant done by another dentist, and she told me it was extremely painful and that she could not do anything afterward. Naturally, I was very nervous and scared. I arrived at your office around 3:00 PM. I honestly do not remember much before the procedure because I felt both excited and anxious from what I had heard. Your assistant gently numbed the area, and then you administered three injections to my gum. I did not feel pain at all honestly, even a vaccine shot in the arm feels worse. Once I was numb, you performed the procedure. Of course, I felt some sensation, but on a scale of 1 to 10, the discomfort was only about a 4 or less. This was truly an amazing experience for a tooth implant. After everything was finished, I was still numb, but I could talk. I even told you, "Please take care of me for another 40 years. I don't want to find another dentist for the rest of my life." I also want to mention your assistant. Her calm presence, beautiful skin, genuine smile, and positive energy completely changed the situation and turned what could have been a stressful day into one of the best days, as if nothing difficult had happened at all. I've been to multiple dentists before, and I can tell when someone is trying to upsell you because they don't want to deal with smaller jobs or potential problems. I understand that things can happen and that everything eventually needs to be repaired or replaced, but I really appreciate a dentist who is honest about what actually needs to be done. Dr. Wong was very honest, professional, and did a top-notch job. I can't recommend him enough. He definitely has all these positive reviews for a reason!

During this visit, I got a zirconia crown made after a root canal. I was impressed how quickly the crown was made at Dr. Wong's office. The process took about 1 1/2 hours. My appointment was booked for 2 hours. His assistant, Emily, was very friendly and accommodating to my personal medical needs. Dr. Wong was pleasant during the procedure. He has a calm demeanor. I'm pretty sure they were re-evaluating their purchase of the practice after seeing me that first day, but they immediately put me at ease. They listened, understood my history, and made me feel completely safe and comfortable. Soon after meeting them, one of my old veneers (from a childhood snow-sledding accident) came loose. They saw me right away and when it became clear the veneer wouldn't hold anymore, they transitioned me to a crown, coordinating everything with my insurance. It looks completely natural -- and they even took me outside in natural daylight to match the color perfectly instead of the office lights. Brilliant! BU Dental believes that a healthy mouth makes for a healthy body. They practice holistic dentistry, looking at the whole person -- not just your teeth -- and how oral health connects to overall wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle. I never realized the connection but now it totally makes sense to me. Patty at the front desk deserves her own gold star -- she's always cheerful, smart, and a total pro at navigating insurance. I once stopped by when the office was closed on a Friday and saw them donating their time and money to help a gentleman with extensive dental issues.
