My family dined in on a Saturday and really enjoyed our lunch. The server was attentive, friendly, and patient with our toddler. The restaurant was clean with cute decorations; I really love the mom and pop vibe of the restaurant. Food here was excellent - very fresh and flavorful. We ordered way too much food including orange chicken, egg rolls, Thai fried rice, and wonton soup (the portions were unexpectedly huge). We had a ton of leftovers that tasted great over the next few days. I definitely plan to go back here and dine in again with my family. Delicious food and great service! read more

Pretty average Thai food. I give 3 stars because I thought the flavoring on the noodles were a bit too sweet and very soupy at the bottom. A regular entree is around $15. lovedddd the food here. Delicious beef drunken noodles, chicken Panang curry, pad Thai, and pork buns were absolutely divine. Service was fast and restaurant had ample seating and was spacious. My one complaint is the portion of the drunken noodle seemed much smaller than the other dishes and that was disappointing because it was soooo good!!! read more

Located in a small plaza so it's easy to miss but there's a good amount of parking available. The workers here are friendly and service is great! This Restaurant is Truly a Gem of a Hole in the Wall. Short stay in the Harbor Area prompted me to find an Exemplary establishment to represent. The Vibes were Top Tier from the gate; extremely Grand Energy in the building. Had the Crab Fried Rice my first night; it was flavorful and hearty. Tried this restaurant based on reviews. Had an excellent tasty and filling meal.Got the green curry chicken with eggplant, medium heat. It was quite hot and fantastic. Also had phad Thai tofu and chicken satay. Enjoyed all and the two of us had a lot of leftovers. Coconut ice cream dessert was a real treat. The service was very friendly and attentive. Food very authentic. Pleasant atmosphere. Not very busy when we were there. Rice is only included with some dishes. Would have liked a bigger portion. We will be returning! read more

This truly is the best thai food I've had. The portion sizes are big and the girls working here are SO KIND. This place is a drive for me but I've been coming here more frequently for their pad se ew and thai iced tea. I was disappointed when I called to make my order and found our they are closed on Tuesday's so definitely keep that in mind! If you live far, the drive is worth it! They also still don't offer indoor dining yet. read more

I used to come here a lot. I think they have new management now. Today I ordered 5 dishes. I was not very happy about it. First of all I ordered for the Thai Basil pork. (Stirfried ground pork on top of the rice with egg on top) They gave me spicy Basil pork. With lots of veggies. Second the beef Panang has only 6-7 slices of small thin beef slices. And most of it is just the soup. Third the pad prikingand their other dishes were mostly Vegetables very small amount of meat in it. 98%veggies and 2% meat. The taste is authentic Thai Food. It's taste is delicious, it was just disappointing that the dish is like $15 each and there's hardly meat in it. Overall I like the TASTE of the FOOD but very much disappointed on the amount of meat in each dish. When I called to complain about the mistake of the my order, the guy who answered my call politely took my name and number and said that maybe next time I go there they will give me a discount. (That was nice of him to offer that) Oh and the wait! 45 mins. For 5 dishes. There was only 1 table when I got there but after I ordered 4 more groups came in. The 2 after me got served first before me. . It was also not nice that they were served before me. Pretty much they ordered the same dish as mine ... It was really a disappointment. I think I'm going to come back there as a regular customer if they would make adjustments on the amount of Meat /protein they're going to put in each dish. read more

I'm sooo sad!! This used to be my favorite Thai spot. They always had great portion sizes and wonderful flavor. I got takeout tonight and noticed different staff. They were wonderful and super accommodating, but I think it changed ownership. The green curry (which was the best in Torrance) is now half the size it used to be and the most bland I've ever tasted. This is the first time I've not been able to finish a dish. Chicken Pad See Ew was also bland. Noodles were cooked well but had little flavor. The chicken could have been jerky considering how dry it was yet the carrots were still raw. The Tom Kha was the most edible out of the three. It was redeemed slightly by the lemongrass but still had very few of the traditional ingredients you usually see. It was mostly broth and unfortunately this is not enough to draw me back to Smile Thai. I'm so sad that to see this downturn in quality and quantity. Very disappointing. I hope the new owners adjust the flavors or cooks as needed. read more

Inside, with its casual decor, is large enough to accommodate 16 people max. The friendly waitress brought water and menus right away. After browsing through the menus, we ordered the following dishes: Papaya Salad with Shrimps: The lettuce leaves were super fresh, and the papaya strings were nicely crunchy. The blend of fish sauce with lime juice was refreshingly tangy and slightly sweet. We just wished there were more than two shrimps in the salad. House Noodle with Seafood (Flat Noodle): The broth was clear, light and umami. The flat noodles had a very nice texture and the portion was generous. The fish fillets, shrimp, and mussels were pleasantly fresh. Kra Paw over Rice w/ Fried Egg: The ground pork was well seasoned and paired nicely with the perfectly cooked white rice. The sauteed onion slices provided a lovely aroma and subtle sweetness. The runny fried egg on top gave a nice accent and extra flavor. But it's not as flavorful as the ones at Sue's Kitchen up the street. The only miss for me was the Dan Dan noodles. I was warned it was spicy but it was a bit spicier than I anticipated. That's ok but the sauce had a weird sour taste to it that was kind of off putting. The service is very attentive. I wish they served boba drinks. Overall we will definitely be back. I can't wait until they open their new branch up in Palos Verdes later this year.

We also ordered the steak (asada) quesadilla. My goodness they don't mess around - they use a really big flour tortilla and pack it with fresh cheese and loads of meat. They don't skimp on the meat. It was so good, I wanted to save it to have seconds the next day. For drinks, we ordered the Horchata which I must say was delicious and homemade. You could tell it wasn't the powdered/artificial horchata. This one was truly made from scratch the way every horchata should be made. Did I mention they make their taco tortillas fresh by hand on-site? Definitely excited we found this hidden gem in the Southbay. They have outdoor seating to the right if you're looking to sit and grab a quick bite. Everything was a 5 start experience including the salsas and sides they had on the side. This is the best place!!!! Great food, service, delivery, and quality of price. This place is small and hidden but it's like heaven. When I first came here, it was very crowded. All table filled, so I had to wait for 5 mins but it was totally worth the wait! The waiter was very nice and greeted us politely. I ordered the Mango Trout, Papaya Salad, Soft Shell crab fried rice, Fried ice cream (The best), and Sticky Rice with Mango( they made the mango into a heart shape and the sticky rice in the middle which is so KAWAII). Everything was great, The price, the serving! I told everyone in my family that this was a place they gotta try and so they decided that we should order a delivery. The food came within 20 mins!
