Decided to try the restaurant again after having a terrible experience. This time service was good and attentive. Food was delivered quickly and everything was delicious. What a difference when you have different servers.

We came here after seeing it from walking around the shopping center. The #20 soup was excellent. We had the vegetable fried rice, And a noodle dish with basil and tofu. The music was nice and slow variety of genres too. The service was slow to order however the taste of the food made me forget the 15 minute wait just to order. There were lot of phone orders and pick up orders that delayed us ordering our food. Definitely coming back.

So many Thai restaurant so a little time. This place came recommended to me, but sadly, it missed the mark for me since many of the dishes, lacked rich flavor and tasted inauthentic.

TL;DR - the tom yum kai is a chicken and mushroom soup that should be seen more as an appetizer to share. I was still hungry after it. My friend loved their lunch special. Came here for lunch and honestly I was a little disappointed with what I ordered (I was still hungry when I left but it's kinda my fault). The service was great, everyone was nice, and the food came out quickly. There were others eating there and it wasn't noisy or anything. I got the tom yum kai (large). It's basically a chicken and mushroom soup/hot pot. The bowl is really cool because they can light the flame underneath it to keep everything hot. The soup was good, the chicken was tasty, the mushrooms were plentiful. Unfortunately that's all it was lol. I should've added the noodles for an additional $2.50 because I was still hungry at the end of the meal. My friend told me that is typically more of an appetizer that you share among your party but I thought it was for one person given the price. It WAS tasty though! My friend enjoyed their lunch special and would get it again. I'll be coming back for round two. I'll order properly next time lol

It's been years since I've been to Thai Rama. And when I say years...I mean years! The last time I've been to Thai Rama was when I was little kid. My grandpa would treat us to the original Thai Rama that was located at a plaza at the corner of Anza and Torrance Blvd. It was only recently that the Thai Rama moved to this new location off W. Carson St. I went to Thai Rama for a Friday lunch with my mom and we enjoyed their lunch specials. Thai Rama's lunch special is daily from 11am to 3pm and consist of 14 different offerings that include salad and a cream cheese wonton. Prices range from $14.95 to $15.95. I chose to get the Noodle Supreme and my mom got the Yellow Chicken Curry. For the lunch special today, the waitress informed us that it would be soup versus salad. The soup of the day was a heartwarming corn soup. I enjoyed this light soup. It had good corn flavor. I hope Thai Rama continues to offer soup for their lunch special. I also really liked the cream cheese wonton that accompanied the lunch special. It was served crispy and hot. I loved the sweet cream cheese filling. The main dishes were also quite enjoyable. The Noodle Supreme consisted of flat rice noodles, chicken, egg, bean sprouts, scallions and crushed peanuts. I'm a fan of flat noodles and was happy to see Thai Rama's noodles to be perfectly soft and chewy. The chicken, scallions and peanuts brought a nice depth of flavor. The Yellow Curry was a dish that was spot on in terms of creaminess. I absolutely loved the curry sauce. It was enriched with coconut milk and was perfect over white rice. The curry had the most tender chicken that paired well with the chunks of potato and carrots. I would definitely get this again. I was happy to try Thai Rama again after so many years. New location, new experiences - I know I will be back!

I accidentally ended up in this location..I was looking for a different Thai place with 4 stars but I'm So glad I ended up here! I would give this place 10 Stars! It's clean, staff is friendly and food is full of flavor and delicious! I come here once a week and try a different dish every time. I highly recommend their padseew and cucumber salad..and they have the best pickled lol

This place existed my expectations!!!food is definitely delicious and the service exceptional waitress Ploy was kind and nice. Great customer service . I recommend the coconut soup #20 . You have to also get the Thai tea! Food was ready in minutes!

I had the pad Thai and yellow curry! As a kid I hated Thai food I haven't had Thai food in years! My Best friend shiloh challenged me to eat Thai food and give it a redemption! I was really scared coming into here! BUT i ended up really liking the food! Great service! Lots of flavors! I'm a chef myself and I really enjoyed the food! I highly recommend!

We were excited to learn this Thai Rama is the same one we loved years ago on Torrance Blvd and Anza. Now located on Carson St across from Harbor General, it's even closer to home--and just as good as we remember. This was our fourth visit, and the food continues to impress. Everything is flavorful and well-prepared. We had the Mongolian Beef lunch special (with soup), Eggplant/Tofu Stir-Fry, Poached Fish, Seafood Coconut Soup, and my favorite--Beef Panang, which is always spot on. The space is cozy, the staff is friendly, and there's plenty of parking. Thai Rama remains a gem, and we'll definitely keep coming back!

Delicious and authentic Thai food. Friendly service and casual ambience. We had the fried tofu appetizer, which was crispy on the outside and spongy on the inside...yum! Basil chicken fried rice was well seasoned and a good kick of spicy heat bc we asked for it. Their fried pompano fish dish is a great option too. The fish fried perfectly and the sauce with its flavor mix of sweet, salty, and a little sour. All in all a good place to get your Thai food fix.

A must-try hidden gem with a new location! So happy to have Thai Rama back open! I stopped by their new Carson Street location today after they moved from Torrance Blvd, and it feels like they haven't missed a beat. This is a true hidden gem, and the new spot is just as welcoming as the old one. The ambiance is great, it's clean, comfortable, and has a really nice, relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal. The food is clearly made with a lot of love. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai, which I ordered with shrimp. It was absolutely delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavors were incredible and authentic. Everything tasted so fresh, which is exactly what you hope for in a great Thai restaurant. If you're in the area and looking for some amazing Thai food, you have to give this place a try. The flavors are top-notch, the ambiance is pleasant, and it's the perfect spot for a great meal. So glad they're open again!

Is this the same Thai Rama that was on Torrance and anza?

Yes, it is! They just moved from their old location on Torrance to their new spot on Carson Street.

For my first visit, I ordered the Garlic Noodles with Bulgogi Short Rib Steak, and it definitely did not disappoint. The garlic noodles were flavorful, and the bulgogi short rib steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The dish comes with two sauces, and they really elevate the meal. The cilantro-lime green sauce has a nice kick to it, but it pairs incredibly well with both the garlic noodles and the steak. The sweet and savory brown sauce was equally delicious and added another layer of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making my first visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has a clean, cozy ambiance that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. Overall, I'd give the food a 10/10. The quality, flavors, and portion size made for an excellent dining experience. I told him I wanted to mix matcha with thai, and he was honest enough to tell me that it probably wouldn't taste the way I was expecting because they use powder, and it doesn't always blend well. I appreciated him so much for that because if I had spent money on a nasty drink, I would've been upset. So my backup plan became the Fruity Booty, and it was SO good. I don't remember everything that was in it, but I know it had mango and strawberries. The only downside was that it melted super fast. By the time we got back to the car, there was already juice collecting at the bottom of the cup. Even with that, it was delicious. I ended up finishing the whole thing, which I definitely wasn't expecting. It was so hot outside, and it ended up being the perfect refreshing drink.

I've ordered twice now, the most recent time left me with the "yeah I'm not coming back" feeling. I place the uber eats order: 2 shrimp fried rice 2 garlic noodles with filet mignon, peppers & onion 2 popcorn chicken The issue was the service. There were 2 very young girls working the front end. They took forever to acknowledge me waiting at the counter for my pick up order. When one of them finally approached me I showed her my phone and said that I had a pick up order via uber eats. She disappears for 10 minutes. Comes back out and started doing other stuff, gives me no update or anything. I waited an extra 25 minutes after my "promised time" on uber eats. I understand that the younger gen doesn't talk to people but that's just crazy, like at least update the customer ?? If I was a delivery person for someone an extra 25 min wait is insane They even forgot about another lady that was also waiting... The shrimp fried rice is pretty good, of course there's only like 4 shrimps in the entire container. The noodles are okay, obviously they're garlic noodles so you'll have the heavy garlic breath. Very oily and slippery, feels like it'll break my skin out. Popcorn chicken is not traditional to what I am personally used to. One of the pieces had a bone in it and I'm glad it was me and not someone else in my family that got it. There's flavor, the breading is weird and doesn't entirely cover it? Either way, I haven't been here in years and I think this solidified that I don't need to come back. The outside says Veo cafe now. They only use the door on the side for entrance. Still same ambiance and hiccups light up signage inside. Restrooms inside. Street parking or in a free plaza behind it.

The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. I was particularly surprised with the green sauce-I've had it with so many other cuisines but never thought to pair it with Korean food. What a beautiful surprise, as we stepped inside of this gorgeous restaurant! The entrance and winding path easily had me at hello!
