Don't have much to say about my experience. It was pretty basic. I was mostly disappointed about the price. Coming from LA to TJ, I thought I would save some money. Only to found out I basically paid the same price I would have in the states. Their online prices are different from in person. I asked the Dr. why the prices are different from online, she explained it was about the depth of the filling. But comparing the filling price online, which would have been 80-120, jumped to 125 pre filling. One of those filling may be in need of a root canal in the future. The Dr. did state that it should be observed if it does get sensitive. For now it's a waiting game to see if that filling holds up. I had three others done. I didn't get the deep cleaning due to price I was given. read more

I was recommended this office by a co-worker and I'm so thankful. I have never received friendlier service. To start, the office is always super clean. Their main receptionist Sinai greets me by my name every time. She is super pleasant and always offers tea or water while I wait. My main dentist at the moment is Dr. Gonzalez. A gem. She is is gentle with every procedure and ensures clear communication is established when it comes to comfort and prevention of any pain. When they say pain-free, they mean it. I had a root canal, zero pain. I had mercury fillings removed and replaced for modern fillings and again zero pain. They have answered every question and explained every procedure I have had beforehand to ensure I understand what is happening. This is so helpful to ease my nerves. I have a Clinical FEAR of DENTIST! I needed major surgery done and found Smile Tijuana the BEST..!!! I needed a bone graph, extraction and a few root canals......let the Panic attacks start!!! I made 3 appointments with 3 different Dentist's, did all my research, hours upon hours. Went to my first one, not impressed...as soon as I walked into Smile Tijuana I knew I found my place. Greeted by very nice receptionist, AromaTherapy (mmmm..so relaxing) and friendly staff. I cannot believe how High Tech everything was and Spa like. They offer OZONE THERAPY with every extraction. I was impressed (Google it) After x-rays ($75 worth it for the 3D) and discussion, I decided, quite easily to go with them. I paid the extra for IV Sedation( knock me out PLEASE....My fear was huge!!) Booked the surgery for 1 week out, the office called checking on my me twice and the day before! I booked a room across the street (Hotel Real deRio...nice place) for my recovery. I had no idea what to expect..... Day of appointment I was greeted warmly and met my "Team"...literally there were 5 people...LOL The anesthesiologist walked me through everything she was going to do. Then the Dentist came over and noticing my nerves, let me chat and ask more questions..poor guy!! He said OK, we need to start...... I woke up and was AMAZED!!! I was a lil groggy but within a few minutes I was able to get up and walk, gauze in mouth. No Pain, No Fear. They gave my companion instructions for AfterCare and were very gentle with me. They even saved me the bad tooth, that was eye opening and very cool. Went to hotel and slept for about 4 hours and was good to go home. It is now day 3.....little swelling, hardly notice it. (Ozone therapy is great for healing) The extraction site is healing nicely...I am so VERY grateful for the understanding ( I was a handful of fear..) and the attention to detail. My husband and I became dismayed at the cost of dental procedures and insurance in the US. We couldn't even get a simple cleaning without tons of procedures being rammed down our throat. they also felt like used car salesmen trying to charge for irrigations and felt cold. So, my love decided to look for a Tijuana option and found Smile Tijuana on Yelp. We booked an appointment and after our first visit, we're sold! CItlalli, or hygienist and dentist was kind, thorough and non pushy. The new location is close to the border, a taxi from Ped West crossing was $5 with US parking $8 (on a Wednesday). RIP OFF! I have never seen such con artist dentist office in my life. This will be long so i suggest you to read it all. Here is my experience with these thieves. I made an appointment over the phone, the receptionist named Ari told me that full dental cleaning is $175 + 50 for the specialist to look at everything. I went in the office, they left me waiting 25 minutes after my appointment time, and then i see a lady walking in with her brief case (specialist). They called me, explained a small process, literally they did my bottom teeth, because they said they can only do 2 quadrants at first, and re-schedule next week for the other 2. The specialist took literally 20 minutes for a deep cleaning, very suspicious. I go to the front desk to re-schedule, and she tells me $300 total for today's visit, and another $300 for next week $600 total. Crooks, this is more expensive than dentist in USA. They do not have real dentist working there, they outsource it, and they run a crooked business to get you in there. The worst thing their building is hidden, nowhere on the outside building does it show Smile Dentist, it is inside a big commercial building, and when you go in all doors are locks, they have cameras, and have to let you in. read more
