I had a filling done here that failed within four days. To be clear, Barbara was excellent, she helped save my tooth and prevent a root canal. Unfortunately, the actual filling work done by the dentist was very poor. Issues I experienced: 1. The filling chipped and fell off within the first week, in three separate pieces. 2. The contact point between the repaired molar and adjacent tooth was incorrect floss passes straight through with no resistance, creating a gap that was not there before. 3. There was excess filling material left on the outside of the tooth. 4. During bite adjustment, the dentist ground down not only the filling but my actual molar and the neighboring teeth, even though the bite was still off. At this point, the tooth is worse than when I came in. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the restorative work and would not feel comfortable having this dentist perform fillings again. I hope X Dentistry reviews this case and takes appropriate action or provides additional training, as I would not want another patient to go through a similar experience. read more

As someone who has always had a fear of the dentist, I believe this is the best care I could have gotten. I was quoted over 6k for 2 root canals, cleaning, and x-rays in the states. I heard a lot about friends and coworkers whose dentists are in tj. A friend actually recommended this place to me & I'm so glad I listened. Ended up only paying a third of the cost for the same amount of work PLUS more. Extra fillings, occlusal adjustments, an onlay, and they even provide free shuttle / ride services to & from the office. TV monitors on the ceiling to help w dental anxiety, they played ponyo one time for me haha and even asked if I wanted to play my music to help. Super new and modern equipment and technology. I usually dread the x-rays in the states because of the huge plastics and bad gag reflex but it was a pleasant surprise to see just a tiny black camera they scan super fast each section! They open the screen window for fresh air & have little blankets which I absolutely loved. Besides the equipment and environment, the staff is absolutely the best. The receptionist is so personable, speaking with her made me feel like I was speaking to a close friend. The hygienists and assistants always smile and check if I'm okay which is so much better than a stern, scary, or silent environment. Despite my nerves everyone there always knew what to say to make me feel at ease, and not scare me into getting even more work done. Dr. Cali is the best, she would make me laugh even when I was on the verge of a panic attack. And a huge plus is that everybody works their best in communicating. I never felt misheard or misunderstood here, even with the little broken Spanish I know. Safe to say I will be coming back frequently, I wouldn't want to be put in just anybody's care besides them! I just spent two days sitting in an X Dentistry chair. Doctor Sandra gave me a new bridge and crown, plus replaced a couple of fillings. Dr Sandra was friendly, caring, efficient and professional. As were her assistants. My wife has also had major work done there in the past 5 years. All of a very high standard at half the price of our Las Vegas dentists. This office charged me a quarter of what a dentist here in the US was going to charge me for a root canal and a crown, and I'm 100% happy with the work. The office was ultramodern and clean. Everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. It was super convenient and safe staying in the Quartz Hotel next door. It was well worth the trip! I have just a few nits that don't affect my five-star rating. 1. They could be a little more upfront about the time the procedures will take. I was told two hours on the first day and one hour on the second day. It was more like six hours on the first day, and five on the second. But I'd rather they do the job right than rush. 2. The office is a bit tight on space. It would be nice if they had more room. But rent probably doesn't come cheap in that new office building. 3. It's nice that they have TVs on the ceiling you can watch during procedures. They play house music, and the lyrics scroll on the screen. But they need to be more careful about the music choices. There was one song with lyrics about as filthy as you can imagine. I'm no prude, but I don't want to hear and see the f-word multiple times when I'm having dental work done. Despite these minor issues, I'd definitely return for more dental work when I need it. read more

Totally deceptive I went there for a couple of crowns, One was set as they promised right on time. 2 years later it came off and needs to be done again. They did not sterilize the surface before setting the crown and now The tooth surface under the crown is gone black and needs to be resurfaced . Unfortunately it's gotten too close to the nerve and now I need a root canal as well. The 2nd crown was not ready or was done wrong when I arrived at the appointment Had to sit for 4 hours till they came up with one. Was molded bad and had cavity that caused infection. Another root canal and a new crown Had to be done. They also sterilized their needles by burning them with a lighter tourch. Maybe my bad luck, but I don't think they know what they're doing. Look, I'm not an actual patient, but my friend is. I go with her and sit in the waiting room and observe. So far, I have gone twice and have been blown away at the attention they give their patients. They are so courteous and kind to me as well! All of the staff there from the doctors down to the custodians are so professional and hospitable. I mean, they are so hospitable, I overheard them booking a room for a patient with contintental breakfast! Where will you find that in a dentist anywhere else?! They even provide a car ride from and to the border if you want to leave your car in the States. Okay, so where was I? When I say this office is clean, I mean, this place is impeccable! It is regularly being cleaned and I paid attention to how often the trash was being cleaned out because if you're not aware yet, in México, it's not the same as it is in the States. One does not flush toilet paper in the toilet, but throw it away in the trash. I thought it was really great how often they cleaned their trash! So, these doctors work really well! From what my friend was telling me, they found severe issues that doctors in the U.S. failed to see for years. They have been treating her really well and she is extremely happy making the two hour drive there for every visit. This place is great all the way through with great vibes. I love coming here with her! I speak with other patients in the waiting room when I'm there and they feel the same way; some of them even come from states pretty far away, like Utah, to come to X Dentistry! It's incredible! They go the extra mile in trying to accomodate you, including transportation to and from the US/Mexico border. The facility is very modern with excellent equipment and cleanliness. The staff and doctors are English speaking. The doctors are well trained and do very good work. They are very cautious about your health and concerned for your well-being too. I highly recommend XDentistry, and you can't beat the savings over US prices. The only thing I would say is to allow plenty of time for procedures as they run on Mexican, not US, time. read more

I was really wanting to give this place a 5 star, but I don't know what's up with the slacking off after my first two visits. Today is about the 5th time I've been here. My plan was to get braces, so after deep cleaning I received one extraction. The first extraction, no one took my blood pressure. They just came in and did it and prescribed me with Amoxicillin to take home. On my 2nd visit was the first time my blood pressure was taken. I was a little but annoyed that before they took my blood pressure, they made me pay for my extraction then told me I had to come back because my blood pressure was too high. I explained that my blood pressure becomes elevated because I have sleep apnea and needs to be placed on CPAP machine and that I was going on medications. I understood why I had to come back, so all I needed was one more extractions before I begin my braces. Then before I left I was told, "Oh, you need a root canal!" So....why was this not told to me before? So that was annoying because now not only does that set me back, but of course I had to pay more money up front. I left and was put on hypertension meds from my provider and for the past two weeks I closely monitor my blood pressure before making my appointments. Once I saw my blood pressure was at a normal range, I made an appointment to come in. So I came in, got my blood pressure taken, told I was good to go, got charged $580 only to wake over 2 hours and I'm still sitting here being told I need to be monitored more for my blood pressure. Again, I was told that I was good to go and I was charged so why am I STILL sitting out here going on my third hour? This is so annoying and unacceptable and I traveled a really long way to be here today. read more

I use XDentistry in Tijuana and went there for a tooth extraction and implant. I was terrified to cross the border but was reassured when one of my neighbors had work down there and he raved about them. I called to make an appointment and was happy to learn very they send a shuttle to meet you at the border. The office is located in a forty story medical plaza a few blocks away and it's very secure and modern. It cost $200 to extract a tooth and approximately $1500 for the implant. I saw two dentists In S CA and was quoted prices over $4500. XDentistry has 4 dentists in their office, their prices are posted online and the staff speaks english. I really wanted to like xdentistry. They have a nice office with all new equipment but at the end of the day it's a business and unfortunately their work isn't worth a discounted price. I had two fillings fall out within a day of getting the work done on top of another temporary crown that was supposed to last 6 months crack in a day and then had to drive back to get it redone. While I was there, multiple pieces of equipment failed. Lastly, I had brought my wife to get work done and the dentist didn't know we speak Spanish talking to the receptionist up front stating that about $2,000 worth of work wasn't necessary and to let us know that it was optional. But the secretary right after told me that the work was necessary in order to get the tooth implanted as well as double charged two bone grafts when they were already done before. This place is super clean and professional, and the staff are all super friendly. They pick up and drop off at the border, making it very convenient. Dr. Sandra and Dr. Paula did a fantastic job replacing 2 front crowns. The process was difficult, and they handled it with care and compassion. In the end, the crowns are perfect! Also, I was told by a dentist in San Diego that I needed crowns on 2 other teeth, but Dr Sandra was able to do fillings instead, which saved me money. I love their honesty.
