This has to be one of the worst Smiths I've ever shopped at. Everybody that works here is so lazy and degenerate. They walk around with their thumbs up their butt. Awesome place. This is the closest grocery store to where we live now and it's always been a great store to go through. I always go inside. Pick up what I need. And leave. They always have things I'm looking for as well. Great thing is that they have good things on sale. I love it when they have their 2liter sodas on sale for a dollar. It's a clean and organized place. Most Smiths deserve 5 stars. This one gets a one today after a bagger failed to wash their hands after taking a dump. I was in the men's bathroom and a neighboring stall was occupied by a Smiths bagger. It was clear he had finished his business and was cleaning up with toilet paper. His stall door opened and I watched him walk straight out of the bathroom door without washing his hands. After washing my hands, I stepped out to see him bagging other people's groceries. Yuck. I could immediately forgive a construction worker or anyone else for forgetting if they were not immediately returning to handling food. C'mon! At the very least wash your hands if you've just taken a dump and you're about to handle other people's food. Please. Minimizing your fecal matter on other people's food really does prevent illness. THE. KINDEST. EMPLOYEES. Long story short I came to pick up my grocery order and Riley was my delivery guy. Super pleasant and quick. I noticed my front two tires didn't look right and was sitting in the pickup spot for a while after he had left... They were very flat. I had my 8 month old son in the back seat and no wallet. Riley came back out to check on me to see if everything was okay. Him and his sweet coworker Pamela went out of their ways to help me fill up my two flat tires (no charge) while making sweet faces at my little boy and just making my entire day. It could've turned into a pretty bad day, but thanks to their selflessness and willingness to make sure I was alright, it was an act of service I won't soon forget. Be sure to check the expiration dates of any perishable foods you buy here, because I've gotten home several times only to discover that the product I purchased (cottage cheese, lunch meat, ice cream, etc) was weeks out-of-date. Also, good luck getting any help when the self-checkout gives you random "Help is on the way!" errors. The parking lot is way too small so don't waste your time looking for a space, just park over in front of one of the nearby stores in the shopping center and have a nice walk, and be careful to not get run over by any of the oversized pickups that roar through there. read more

So, I don't really have anything to say about this place because Smith's is Smith's ya know? But I ran in one day to buy some bread bowls from the bakery. Didn't see any, so I asked an employee (in the bakery section) if they had any bread bowls. I got an awkward, blank stare down. After a few moments she said "I don't think I know what that is". So she asked another employee who wasn't far from her if she knew what a bread bowl was and she rudely replied "a what?! No. I don't know what that is, so we probably don't have it". I wasn't affected as much by their rudeness (because I didn't even get a "hey sorry we aren't more help!" it was just a plain nope don't have it! *walks away* kind of exchange), I am more affected by the fact they had no clue what I was talking about. So upon moving to Utah for school, I was delighted to find a Smith's close by. Now, a "Smith's Marketplace," is something I was unfamiliar with, but Smith's is Smith's. This location has a gas station attached to it, with really good prices, so that is always a plus. The inside is usually pretty clean, I have no complaints about that. I'm always greeted by workers when I pass them, everyone seems polite. What's different about this place that I haven't seen with other Smith's is that it has a little cafe inside it. I'm partial to the Asian cuisine available. They have sushi burritos, which I would recommend if you needed to scratch that sushi itch. However, I was forced to try something else today, when the sushi dudes were not there (during times they were supposed to be available, mind you). I chose the ramen, since I was feeling a little chilly anyways. The picture shown at the counter where I ordered it didn't look to bad. I forgot what it was supposed to get on top, something like green onions, fish cake, and something else. However, what I got was noodles and something that resembled ginger on top. The broth was lukewarm at best and it tasted like I was drinking water. Its a good thing I ate it at the cafe there because it might have been completely cold if I chose to bring it home. I had to add 4 soy sauce packets to give it some semblance of flavor. Needless to say, I was pretty unhappy about spending about $7 on something I could have made at home, and I could have made it 1834918327493 times better. I studied at the cafe after I bought some Starbucks. The baristas at this Starbucks are always super polite and I have had no problems with them. They're great. The cafe is pretty spacious and there is always someone there minding the place, cleaning up and such. The TV is really loud in my opinion, but other people might appreciate that. Their cafe has pretty big windows and I would love sitting there on a sunny day. They have free WiFi and a plethora of electrical plugs. Coffee + food + free Wifi + electrical plugs = study time. Oh, and this Smith's closes pretty late for Utah, 11pm or 12 midnight or something. Also a plus in my opinion. I would consider trying the other food, but the -1 star was for the crappy ramen. Wish there was an option to give zero stars. I ran into Smith's to grab one item and my car was hit in the parking lot. I was parked right in front of a camera. My husband and I went inside to talk to a manager about reviewing the footage and they said we would need to file a police report and the officer could review the footage. We did so, but then Smith's told the officer that we needed a judge ordered warrant if we wanted to see the footage. SO wrong. No accountability. Thank you Smith's, I am now paying to get my car fixed... $500 deductible and interested to see what my new rate will be....all because I was shopping at your store and giving YOU my business. I bought a $100 google gift card at smiths. I definitely do not recommend purchasing gift cards here. There is an issue with the gift card. It is giving me an error code. I went back to smiths who told me to go to google. I contacted google who told me to go back to smiths. I went back to smiths all on the same date I purchased the card and was turned away again. I've contacted google 3 times and opened a claim with them which could take up to a year to resolve. I used to go to smiths all of the time, but this location has gotten too busy for personal customer service read more

I have completely forgotten about the other day haha I was gonna go shopping for my birthday party and then I get this little look from one of the people. They looked me up and down and then whispered to their coworker and LAUGHED AT ME! The audacity the brutes had to assault me like that. Then I made my way to the back of the store and got my bad of shredded cheese to eat in the car on my way home and I also got some ring pops for my party favors.
