Nice, clean store. I stopped in during our family vacation. We were staying at the Tahiti Village resort and this happened to be the closest grocery stop to our hotel according to Google & yelp! I came in early before 8am. The store is pretty big and quiet. There are "one way" signs posted on the ground so pay attention. I walked in on the bakery side. They have a decent selection of all your everyday needs. Basically, this place compares to a Vons or a Kroger. Kroger especially since I was able to use my Kroger rewards # from the past to get some discounts! There is also an organic - all earth friendly section for those looking for those kinds of things. They also offer curbside and delivery options, hot food at the bar like your take home fried chicken/rotisserie meals, donuts by the dozen and an option for personalized cakes! I was also able to grab some shampoo & swim diapers for my 2 yr old! Although nothing really stood out as "different", it is a nice laid out store, everything was well stocked. This is the closest grocery store to my home and I will never set foot in there again. I bought a $100 gift card from this location for a family member and when they went to use it the card had a zero balance. I called the customer service number on the card and the agent said the card was used at 1am at a Smith's grocery store the next morning from when I bought it. This was during Covid so the store was closed at night, but the card was used there at 1am? Hmmm??? If I have to go to a Smith's store, I'll be going to the one in Southern Highlands. read more

We don't have a Smith's in Hawaii, so I was kinda curious about this grocery store. It was well organized and quite clean. I found everything I needed - even sesame seed oil! However, my Las Vegas friend, Jean C., warned me that I may need to go to Chinatown for kalbi meat. She was right! I also didn't find fresh ginger... so, sorry, friends... I won't be making kalbi for dinner... haha! Other cool things were the live plants (such as orchids and calla lilies), Fourth of July decorations, pairs of lobster tails for $4.99; and Hello Kitty items. This is a convenient store that has pleasant service (I was asked if I had a rewards card. I don't, but the cashier scanned my purchase as if I did); plenty of free parking; and closes at midnight. Food is great! Love the store! My complaint is... Im a regular and spend Hundreds of dollars monthly and sometimes Weekly but I find myself bagging my own groceries. This was an excellent shopping experience. We were on this side of town running some errands and decided to pick up just a few groceries. As we walked in they had a really nice floral department. We then were sidetracked by their amazing cheese department. We were approached by an awesome lady who asked if we had any questions about the different cheeses. We did! My husband asked what her favorite cheese was. She asked if we would like a sample. Yes! You don't have to ask me twice. We chose that cheese and another, and headed around the corner and found all of the hard salamis. Had to get one of those also. In their produce section we found a great selection of salad kits. Smiths At both West Sahara &Durango location and West Charleston location, SANITATION and CLEANLINESS is NOT their strong motto. especially at the deli counter and hot food counter, don't know who trains these people, I see their associate don't change their gloves, it looks like they put the glove on to protect their own hands, rather than the food, they handle everything with the same glove , then they touch your deli meat with the same gloves, and when you ask them to change their glove, they grab the outside of the glove with their own bare hands before they put it on. they need some education about germs and viruses . We were cut off 4 times in this parking lot and one car simply parked in the red to jam up traffic and waited there for 20 minutes while his partner shopped. But that being said. The produce selection is fairly good. Their deli leaves a bit to be desired but their cheese and wine selection is fairly good. The store at 4965 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89104, has an employee standing out side telling customers that the store is closed. I asked him why since the store hours were until 12 am, he claimed that corporate did not want to pay overtime and wanted all employees out at 12 am. I live right next door to a Smith's, but drive 4 miles to this Smith's? Why? Because everybody is friendly. On top of that, this Smith's used to be a Food 4 Less. Which means is HUGE. HUGE! This Smith's has a Murray's cheese shop inside the deli. The produce section is massive. Alan or Adam (Im bad with names) that works in the meat dept is very helpful and patient. I like to get my seafood in the easy bake bags because they'll season the food for you. They have Malibu seasoning, lemon pepper, steak seasoning, basil, thyme, lemons and limes.... Then you don't have to season anything, just throw it in the oven! Smith's also has a mobile app. Download the app. Then I make my grocery list. Scroll thru the mobile app and download coupons that align with your list. When you scan your Smith's card or type in your phone number, the e-coupons automatically register on the cashiers end! I saved $40 on e-coupons thru Smith's app! PLUS lets say you have an e-coupon for $2 off Svedka vodka. And you got a Svedka with a $2 off tag on the bottle, thats $4 off the bottle! I have been shopping at smiths/Kroger, 8180 Las Vegas Blvd, for three plus years since I moved to a nearby condo. I was quite happy with the store and people working there until Wednesday January 17, 2024 when I encountered a very unpleasant incident with two workers there. After I had a bad morning with some useless folks, I went on a weekly grocery shopping at my regular go to smiths. Now I'm not sure whether these two have zero common sense or try to practice what little power they may have or their company's brand new rules that they must follow. For 3 years I shop there, no clerk/cashier (except once with a new worker) asked for my ID when buying alcoholic beverages. I assume they/store have waived my ID showing requirement for all these time for obvious reasons: that I'm an old asian with natural gray hair and I shop there regularly/weekly. Anyone with some sense would see that I'm not young (though I wish) or thuggish or criminal that they must not only check my ID but scan it! Scan my ID for what? Anyway, I was getting a bottle of cheap Kroger brand vodka with my weekly groceries and this checker with covid time mask on (I've seen him before) wants to see my ID. I don't usually carry my ID to a local grocery shop but luckily I had my ID that day so I gave it to him to check, which was fine. But what came next angered me. After he checked my ID said he had to scan it and I said, "no no no scan"! And he looked at a big and tall woman, perhaps his boss, who was helping bag my groceries, for approval and she told him to scan the ID or else I can't buy, the cashier repeated to me, sorry either scan your ID or you are not buying it. Needless to say I was perturbed at such ridiculousness and had enough of it. I said, okay fine, I am not buying and I left everything including groceries and I left the store. The big/tall woman said, "I hope you have a nice day" behind me and I said to her "I hope you don't for ruin my afternoon." I am sure they didn't have fun putting back the groceries to where they belong. I am sure these two told their stories and lies to their upper managers while checking and showing the picture/video of me, thank god they take video so they can't lie too much, LOL have fun! Oh I noticed they didn't send me their usual emails with ads and digital coupons anymore which is just fine, don't worry I won't shop at your place any more! I have a suggestion to the store and to the company, if they ever can see and care. Be consistent, if you must check ID and "SCAN" ID on 65 plus known seniors, which is stupid, ridiculous and nonsensical", do so consistently and don't waive as you did to me for all these time and put up signs in the store and train all workers that they must follow these nonsense ID check and ID SCAN to all seniors at all times! I now hate this store so much. My fiancé worked here for all of 2 weeks, and while it took FOREVER for his background check to finish, a family emergency came up in California. He told the manager who hired him, on his very first day, that he only needed two very specific days off. She told him it wasn't a problem. The following week, the person in charge of scheduling scheduled him for the days he was told he'd have off. It took him 2-3 days to get it all squared away with numerous managers... finally. Then we get his schedule for the next week and they gave him NO HOURS. Nothing. Zero. We have a child and he really needed these hours to help out with our family expenses. He called and talked to management again and they scheduled him for three days.... Cool. Great. Thanks! He shows up for his first day back, early, like he always is.... And he's there all of about 10 mins on the clock and the manager calls him in and fires him. When he asked why, he got no discernible reason other than "we've gotten some reports about your work." Okay.... What reports? What exactly is the problem? And if there have been these so-called reports... why even schedule him the three days you had? Will never spend money at any Smith's again. Thanks for firing a man that has spent the last 3 years as a stay-at-home dad, trying to re-enter the workforce to help with family expenses. Our Smith's shopping days are done. read more

I've been in the customer service line or guest care and money services line for over 20 minutes. They have only one individual working the behind this counter. It's ridiculous! This doesn't make any sense that people are literally leaving the line because 1) they don't have enough people working in customer service and 2) they aren't moving quick enough to complete customer transactions. This is my go-to place for just about everything. This is the old Food For Less location but don't let that deter you from checking out this clean, entirely remodeled, spacious store. There's a Murray's cheese "store" within the store, fresh sushi made daily, & deli & bakery departments which aren't afraid to mark down day-old products. Very nice floral department, too. It's ridiculous how reasonable the prices are compared to Whole Foods. And Glazier's quality control is a joke compared to the near perfection of Smith's. But Smith's, I cannot give you 5 stars when almost every time I visit your store I must walk through the smoke of your cigarette smoking employees who are hanging out in the front of the store. The way the parking lot & sidewalk are configured require most customers to pass the smokers on the narrow sidewalk leading to the entry. It seems like all the employees are smokers-why can't they smoke behind the store? Oh well, if everyone were perfect there'd be no need for Yelp, right? read more

I'm a big fan of Smiths and this is a very good location. Friendly staff, always well stocked, clean and laid out for ease of shopping. Because of it's proximity to The Strip it can get pretty busy, but the store is always staffed to get you in and out. A really nice Smith's store. This Smith has had the makeover and has a large staffed cheese department a nice meat and fish counter and a large produce counter. It also has one of the largest liquor department I've have ever seen at a Smiths. The neighborhood is good a mix of locals and tourists and safe. Come here about 2-3 times a week for groceries or sandwiches. They usually have really good sales. I also use the points towards fuel rewards at shell gas station. When I'm on the run I find it so convenient to grab a well prepared sandwich or sushi roll. The store is usually clean, the staff is helpful and nice, there is a ton of parking. conveniently there are two red boxes outside. As a tip try to avoid between 4-6 it can get really busy. read more
