It's located by the South Premium Outlets in the corner of the gas station. It was easy to find and there was no wait. The old man that was working the station worked quickly. I did the check in on Yelp which knocked off a couple bucks from the price. If you pay with a card, they charge an additional fee of $1.00. I came in on a Saturday about 11am. There was one car there when I arrived. It looked like they were just finishing up. When it was my turn, the attendant told me to leave the keys in the car, step out of my car and give him 5 minutes. And he did his thing - and it literally took him 5 minutes (maybe even less)! Before I forget, he was kind enough to mention the price BEFORE I got out of my car. He said they had to raise the price to $24 (plus the $1 card fee). It was worth it to me to leave, and find another location, and spend more of my time going somewhere else, then giving this man any business! I went to this place last week and asked the tech if my check engine light was on,would my car flunk the smog check.. He said he would have to connect and test my car to see what it was. And of course it failed. I was just reading about smog checks on the DMV web site and it said that the check engine light was on. It was a automatic fail for the smog check. Why did he not tell me this? He did take my $14.95 plus $1.00 because I used my debit card. Why did he not tell me about the light being on would make my car fail? I would have skipped the check and had my car fixed and then come back for the inspection. Now from what I understand. You guys will inspect again for another $10.00. Are you guys that hard up for money to not tell me the correct answer to my question? read more

Regardless, each check is less than 5 min, so if there's someone in front of you, they're probably almost done. The people working there have always been very nice and friendly as well. Be sure to check their website for a printable coupon, since it usually knocks a couple bucks off (today it was $18 out-the-door). It costs $1 extra to pay with a card--if you care, then bring cash. This dude rocks. I was in and out in less than five minutes. As soon as I rolled in, he noticed I have a hybrid and asked me what model year it is. As soon as I responded with 2007, he knew my car was due for its first smog check in six years of ownership. With the coupon I printed from their web site, I only owed $18. Get out of the car and leave the key in it and let me have it for 5 minutes. As if he wasn't going to communicate with me at all. So I let him do his thing. He finished and said you're all set! I pulled in around 2pm yesterday after debating whether to go to Purrfect Auto and take them up on their $9.99 smog check, but went with this place due to bad reviews on the competition. I pulled up to the little hut that had two parking spaces devoted to the service and the guy came out who was really nice. I popped the hood and he said it would take about 5 minutes. True as his word it took about 5 minutes. He plugged in some wires to my fuse box to get the cars info, started up the car and he was done. No gimmicks or having me wait a long time to get the work done. I showed him the coupon as he was doing the service and he told me it would be $15.99 with cash and $16.99 with credit card. The surcharge didn't bother me because the service was hassle free and the company actually printed new coupons charging $17.99 for the service. Will definitely go back! read more
