Wednesday, February 4th I arrived at my usual smog guy... they were 5 cars behind so I drove about a block and cruised right into the parking lot of Smog Plus on Pecos and Russell. Exceptional Service So today I went and got a smog check done on my vehicle and I was actually on my lunch break which is from 12-1pm, but I had called prior and was advised that I would be seen when I arrived. There was one car in front of me,but it was taken care of relatively fast by the mechanic. He came right up,he was very friendly we talked and then he proceeded to do my smog. His name was DEVIN, he was exceptional with his customer service,informative,knowledgeable and he knew what he was doing. I was asking some questions and I was very pleased and happy with getting my car smogged and questions answered. I haven't had customer service like that in a very long time and it was just very nice and refreshing to experience that so if you ever need a smog check or smog related things done for your car, go see DEVIN he is great :).I would give him and the Smog Kiosk 10 ++ stars if I could just saying. :) read more

Not a good customer experience. There are other SMOG services with better customer service and who are honest. My vehicle had a battery replaced which I did not realize would affect an emissions test, so the test was rejected. The demeanor and helpfulness of the attendant was non-existent. I tested the vehicle myself after driving it around to ensure it would pass and took it back (as they charge $15 for a retest) during my lunch time. The attendant hooked it up and came back to advise the computers were down. I went to the station on Sunset and Mountain Vista and had a totally different experience. The attendant was courteous and professional, his machine worked and I passed. I did not mind paying full price again and included a tip. read more

Just purchased a used Toyota and needed to get the smog done to register. Don't have a lot of time so had to go on my lunch break at work. I anticipated blowing my entire break and having to eat some fast food at my desk after my lunch. Pulled up at 12:58 pm and the guy was very prompt and polite. Got me all completed in time for me to actually still have time to eat something other than gas station scavenger finds. I was out of there by 1:08pm!!! Definitely recommend based on my experience. Every year I go to this place since it's the only one that sends me pamphlet coupon. Every year it's shitty experience but when next year comes I forget about it since I only have to visit it once a year. They have no change policy where they force you into tipping them . I don't mind tipping but tip for what ? For extremely bad service. This week I go there park next to booth and person won't open his door and assist the customer . 5 mins go by and still he is inside his small booth and yes he can see me im parked next to his windows and doors . Decided to leave and take my business elsewhere . Next place I tried guy literally came out of his booth in 10 seconds , offered pleasant experience and was treated like a customer should be . read more

Horrible...no customer service at all. This used to be my go to spot for smog till now. Pulled up and nobody came out for 5 minutes, I began questioning if anyone was even working. I pushed open the plastic curtain to the booth and looked at the young man sitting in there to let him know I was there. 5 more minutes and still nothing, so I again push the curtain to get his attention again. Still nothing after another 5 minutes.... Not even, "I'll be right with you". Will not return. read more

The only thing saving this review from being a 1 star is the fact that I got a discount for waiting. I pull up and there is nobody waiting to get a smog. The tech is in his little office talking to someone,pokes his head out and says I'll be with you in just a moment. OK good start. I then end up waiting for probably 10 minutes.I honestly have no idea why I didn't just leave if I am the only person there why am I waiting? There are literally smog places on every corner and I could've driven not even a mile to go somewhere else with a five star review. That was my mistake. Once he. Finishes with whoever he is speaking with he comes out takes my Vin number and is on the phone. Once he's done with his phone call he motions for me to give him the keys. Excuse the hell out of me! I'm sorry I find it very unprofessional and not very kind to just stick your hand out and not say "can I please have the keys" or "hey can I see your keys?" No he just put his hand out expecting keys. Now this is not my first smog I know they need keys but there is a way you could nicely ask for them or just ask for them I'm not a dog, don't motion for me to give you keys. He doesn't seem to be very friendly he doesn't make any conversation, not that I'm expecting any because this is the smog and not a manicure. I've come here in the past and had great service I will never come here again just for the fact that I had to wait when I was the only person there and then that the tech was not even trying to be nice to make up for the wait.
