Just finished getting both my truck and my wife's 4 runner tested here. Gotta say it was one of the best smog experiences I have ever had in LA. Incredibly fast and courteous service. Clean, nice waiting area. Haik the owner ...and his guy Sam had us in and out in no time flat. Heard him explaining to the previous customer why he failed... and Haik definitely knows his stuff. Explained everything in detail and calmly tried to help save this guy some money by telling him exactly what to do to get his 350,000 mile Toyota fixed. Not many guys would do that. Came here again from 2014, and it was more of the same! Came at 1pm on a weekday so it wasn't terribly busy, and they let me know it would be a couple of minutes. Haik always does his best to help customers--A system was down on the other end for a girl in front of me, and Haik had great communication letting her know he was doing what he could, and letting me know he was multitasking with my car. UPDATE: UPDATE: UPDATE: After reading all of these glowing reviews,I decided to call the manager Haik and tell him how rude and nasty Brent,his assistant,was to me during my cars inspection and I'm really glad I did. Haik read my cars test results and told me that I failed because I had had a dead battery and therefore needed to reset the computer in my car by driving it on a long trip of at least 35 to 50 miles. I never failed a smog test before and I think this is a ridiculous scam by the state to get more money out of California drivers for registration. I already paid $51.75 and was never offered a coupon of any sort,for this "star station" smog test failure and now I had to waste my time, money and gasoline creating even more smog just to pass this "smog" test. Senseless! Anyway, I drove it 40 miles(no easy feat) and then had it retested by Haik and it passed. I had to pay another fee for the retest but it only took 15 minutes. Haik really went out of his way to be kind and make up for the terrible experience I had with his nasty assistant Brent and I really appreciate that. Since I get a DMV smog test requirement every two years it's good to have a professional shop to go to. read more

Very friendly and fast! Great experience, I've never had a smog inspection prior to this. I recently moved to California and wasn't sure what to expect. In recent recollection, I've only had to do one smog check and I had it done here. Lord knows how long it should take, how expensive it should be, or what kind of hassles one should expect. I took my vehicle in for a smog test but my check engine light was on. Instead of charging me for a smog test (knowing it would fail), the owner would not take my money and instead suggested I fix the issue and come back and try once the check engine light is gone. I did fix the problem (gas cap sensor) and then had my vehicle smog checked. It was nice to know that they are honest and not sketchy. Very satisfied and will be a repeat customer. read more

I came in last minute and Haik always kept me updated on the timing so I wasn't just sitting around wondering what was happening. He was very professional, honest and was really hustling so customers would have a short wait. He sent the smog certificate to the DMV digitally but also made me 2 copies, one for my records and one to include with DMV registration letter.
