Came here at the recommendation of some friends and wow am I glad I now know about this place! We had a group of 6 on a Cubs game Sunday, it was easy to make reservations and no hassle when we got there. We were seated upstairs on the 'inside' part, but they had the windows open so we got a nice breeze/fresh air. We all did the bottomless brunch and drinks, and this is an amazing deal! All the food you can eat for $19?! I'd pay $19 to just eat those potatoes/hashbrowns all day long. The bottomless drink spacial is also a good deal, if you get 2 drinks then you've gotten your money's worth. And you can switch off between mimosas and bloody mary's, you don't have to stick with one. Our server, I don't remember her name, was great. She was attentive, and checked in at the right times to get us more food/drink, and even extended the bottomless deal a little longer for us since we'd been there for a while (fair warning, the deal ends at 2pm). They had football games on, so depending on where you sat you could find the game you wanted, and of course they put the Cubs game on most screens once that started. I've always liked Smoke Daddy... in fact, I have two containers of their BBQ sauce in my desk drawer at work just in case of a "sauce emergency." Whether it's frequenting the Division location or eating it when my company caters, Smoke Daddy almost always delivers on taste and quality. That being said, we had never been to the Wrigleyville location. Upon arrival, our first impression (outside of how crazy loud it was) was WOW - this is not the space we were used to. It's two floors...HUGE! It's a big, clean, modern, "new build" location that has all the delicious food you love and are used to! Most important, their brunch deal is AWESOME!! We actually came in for restaurant week but their regular brunch deal was better. $19/person for massive quantities of unlimited food like monkey bread (omg to die for) pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. They have your typical breakfast food but with that Smoke Daddy twist! Also, for $16/pp more they'll serve you bottomless mimosas or bloodies. This place has a great location but it is totally missing it. We live in the neighborhood and felt like barbecue SO - we walked past Big Star - which was bustling - came to Smoke Daddy's (which was Not bustling ). We thought we were in good shape because we got a window seat but after waiting a bit (despite many employees standing around) we were told they were "out of smoked chicken and that the kitchen closes in 10 min" (note that it was 8:20 on a Thursday evening) . The wings were great - I will give them that. Otherwise - salad was way over dressed and service lousy - music BAD. Great space and it feels like they're close to making it work, so a LITTLE more effort could make it work. read more

I love me some bbq and smoke daddy has some seriously good bbq. I ordered the 2 smoked meats (brisket and chicken) with a side of Mac and cheese and cornbread. The highlight of the night was the brisket and cornbread. Man that stuff just melts in your mouth. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken so if I had to do it again would have ordered a different meat. We came on a Friday night and there was live blues music which was absolutely great. Open space with an upstairs that has a bar and a balcony with a gorgeous view, and there's also sidewalk seating. Huge open windows on main floor, basically no wall, with a great view of aforementioned cathedral, the one and only Wrigley Field. So close you'll hear every cheer after a play and the organ, if you're watching the game here. This is primo location folks. Staff was friendly and attentive. I saw this meal on the food networks "All-Star Best Thing I Ever Ate." Needless to say expectations were high. The service was great. They were very attentive. We ordered the Monkey Bread to start. It was OK. I got the pulled pork Benedict with hash browns. The Benedict was good! I was hoping the pulled pork would be salty to offset the richness of the egg and hollandaise sauce. It really wasn't, but that is why they provide 4 different BBQ sauces. I added the Mustard Q sauce and it really took the Benedict to the next level. The low key star of the show was the has brown. It's essentially an Au Gratin hash brown and it was amazing! I could have eaten a plate of that alone. Social distancing was observed, the staff wear gloves and masks, and there was hand sanitizer at the front greeting area. Really enjoyed brunch here and I will be back. read more

Great barbecue! There were 3 of us and everyone thought the barbecue was outstanding. Two of had the pulled pork and it was delicious. The portions were large and the bun was nice and soft and quite good. One person had the Daddy O which is brisket with provolone and onion rings. She pronounced it delicious. Two of us had the Mac and cheese which was disappointing- it was creamy but the pasta was over cooked and just not cheesy. One person ordered the cornbread which was a total hit. We all said next time we would order the cornbread- it was warm with butter on top and it was very moist. Service was quick and efficient. We will definitely be back. The restaurant has two floors with the main floor being more for the bar and for music entertainment, whereas the second floor is more for bigger groups and for dining. The first floor is first come first serve for seating. Both floors have a full bar! The music is very loud here. We ordered some beers, the Wings, and Taste the Daddy. The beers came out right away and opened our appetites even more! The wings were very delicious! There were five large wings in our order. They were marinated for full flavor impact, smoked to meat off the bone perfection, and grilled for that crispy and juicy skin! The Taste the Daddy comes with your choice of ribs, two smoked meats, and two sides. We chose the baby back ribs, brisket and burnt ends, cornbread and the French fries for sides. The ribs were very good, perfect amount of sauces and the meat just fell off the bones! The brisket was a little dry, but with some help from the Smoke Daddy sauces, it was all good. The Burnt Ends were fatty and juicy with that great smoked taste. The corn bread was the star here. The chunk of Honey butter on top made each bite sooooo heavenly!
