Our friends had come to visit us, and we decided to go for a ride, and have lunch. My wife is gluten-free (not by choice). We thought we'd try to find some barbecue to take a ride to. My wife found the Smoke Haus online, called them, and they verified they could serve her a gluten-free meal. As we pull into the parking lot, it is raining, and still there are about 25 people on the deck/porch eating with only moderate shelter from the wind and rain. My meal was a 2 meat plate, sides of cole slaw and fries. Had chopped pork, and brisket. Meats were fantastic, and the fries were maybe the best I've ever had . Between the 4 of us, Cole slaw, baked beans, collard greens (ick, not for me LOL) Chopped pork, pulled pork, and brisket. Corn bread for the 3 of us, not my wife. Everything was awesome, all of us want to get together very soon for another visit. As far as how much food, and how filling was it, well this ride was one of the very few where we did not make a dessert stop on the ride! We were stuffed. Heartily recommend this place! read more

To say this establishment has good barbecue would be understating an obvious fact by a very large margin. Dave, the Pitmaster, is a true Craftsman. Anyone taking the time to have a conversation with him about his profession will see the true dedication he has to his craft. The only thing that I found more inspiring than his passion was the flavor and the bark of his brisket. Just moved into the area and this was an excellent find. I had to cut my brisket with a knife that should tell you all you need to know. I don't think they understand the proper way to cut brisket against the grain and it was overcooked fat didn't melt in your mouth it was chewy ribs were difficult to pull a part and really hard to chew on a positive note pulled pork was good and seasoning on ribs was good. read more

This place was off the beaten path and well worth the trip!!! The food was excellent and awesome beer selection with local NH breweries for their taps. The Chicken Paste sauce was to die for! Finally had the opportunity to stop in today and was not disappointed. My whole family enjoyed our lunches immensely. We shared multiple combo plates in order to sample everything. This place has what you want in a smoke house. When you pull up you notice the wood outside. They have excellent brisket and pulled chicken and for sides, the mac and cheese is great! The ribs, at least to me, were just ok because they don't fall off the bone. But seriously, go check them out. And try the bourbon bbq sauce when you do, it's outstanding! read more

Stay away, they do not do call ahead and it's not worth driving there to find out that they are out of what you are looking for. Why would they not take a card over the phone and do a call ahead order? They are always out of something that's on the menu. A couple of time we drove there and they had no food left during normal hours. We called the Smoke shack in Londonderry and got a much friendlier person on the phone who took our call ahead order and eve asked what time we would like it ready for. read more

Just recently ordered rack of baby backs and a pound of brisket both with a tangy side of sauce . Also got a quart of cole slaw . First ill say that the cole slaw is the best ive had , creamy goodness ! Secondly the brisket was tender and broke apart easily as such . Lastly the ribs are delicious and have a dry rub to them that I find perfect as i prefer dry to sauced heavily . My only small critique is I wish they pulled the membrane off the ribs as it would be a more enjoyable eating experience to not have to fight with the tough back side of the rib . The brisket comes lean or fatty, your choice, both tender and perfect flavor. The baked beans are sweet, the homemade mac n' cheese is a comfort food classic. The bread pudding is actually deep fried cubes of french toast meets monkey bread perfection. The selection of craft beers on tap is impressive and the home made sauces are the perfect accompaniment. Even when extremely busy, the service is fast and friendly. Food is served on simple metal trays with parchment paper and take out boxes and bags are 100% recycled and recyclable. Pulled pork was fatty and had no flavor. Baked beans need to be less molasses. French Fries plentiful and had great taste but... the majority of them were 2" or less. We had 3 sandwiches with 1 side and a 3 meat plate with 2 sides. The size of the actual fries just made this food experience worse. Very, very disappointed - will not go back again and recommend that this is a food experience that anyone should not waste their money on!! read more

Stopped in for lunch to try out the latest bbq effort in the area. Had the half rack of baby back ribs, slaw, and hush puppies. Service was quick and the place was clean and neat. Good slaw, a bit sweet. hushpuppies were good. The ribs were meaty but slightly tough. not fall off the bone type but needed two hands to pull apart. Found the membrane still attached to the back, a turnoff for me as all good bbq'ers know you need to peel it off prior to smoking. Dry rub was heavy on chilli powder and was overpowering. Giving 2 stars but will give it a try again for brisket another day and really want this place to make it. read more

I have passed this place many many times and have said I need to check it out. Finally stopped in after a long day of hiking up north. Ordered a 3 meat platter with Brisket, pulled pork, and a wing (dusted), along with coleslaw and baked beans as my two sides. Everything was delicious! The sides tasted homemade. Wow. All I can say is that if you have not been to Smokehaus BBQ you are not living life to the fullest. Hands down the best BBQ I have had in my travels from the West to East coast. From the incredibly designed interior, to the friendliness of the staff and owners, the Smokehaus has easily jumped to the top of my list of summer spots to hit! I HIGHLY recommend the Hog Wings, I was completely overwhelmed with the flavor and quality of the meat. After sampling several dishes it is clear this establishment knows what it's doing in terms of flavor and portions. On top of that, having a house brew to pair with the rich and intricate profiles of each dish is just a home run. The owners have clearly outdone themselves and this is going to punch a hole in the BBQ staple card. Ten plus stars. Man O Man! Easily the best BBQ I have had in NH. Stopped in on my commute home and was greeted and thanked by the owner for stopping. Chopped pork sandwich was very lean and delicious (compared to fatty sandwich elsewhere). Beans were to die for with meat and tangy sauce. Cole slaw was super sweet, may not be everyone's cup o tea, but I liked its uniqueness. Once I got home, I dug into dessert, which was a to-go cup of brisket chili. MMM, mmm good! Twice I tried stopping in this location each time I've been told they were out of food. Once during the week and once on the weekend around dinner time between three and five. Tried talking to the owner about it and he told me that I need to get there real early in the morning. They only cook so much in the morning and once it runs out, that's it. So twice stopping in and twice leaving with no food. I have no idea how the food is. I have seen a lot of different business come and go from this location. I wish the the best. read more

Walked into this establishment with my service dog, was immediately berated by the manager who did not understand the ADA. I wont go into details about my disability, but my dog retrieves medication for me in emergency situations. He yelled behind my back, after telling me it was ok to order, to tell the cashier to "make him wait outside because we dont allow dogs in here" after I had already spoke with him about the laws and the ADA. The discrimination may have been the worst I have ever dealt with. I bring my dog everywhere because there can be an emergency situation that I may need to take said medication, so I do not have a serious issue in an establishment. Everyone else was extremely nice. 10/10 would not revisit, and would never recommend to anyone with a disability. I cannot review the restaurant because I was literally bullied out of the place. read more

Since moving to New England, we have struggled to find good ol' true Southern BBQ, (The kind you'd roll your eyes back over). This place is IT. Absolutely delicious!! Went on a Sunday shortly after 11 and got great service, found prices to be reasonable, (brisket sandwich $8.99), and the food...oh the fooood. It was everything. Sides were tasty and we'll portioned. Place was also very clean, and on a cool day you can enjoy your meal outside. Stop in once and you'll find calories that are worth taking in. Oh, and if your not aware, they are open until the hour they close, or until they run out of food. So I love great barbecue. My favorite place is Blue Ribbon innNewton MA but after being in NH for over 13 yrs I have finally found good barbecue locally. Smokehaus is now my favorite. My wife and I came in for an early lunch on a Thursday, since we had previously tried on a Saturday and the line was out the door! We shared a rack of ribs with mac & cheese, and cole slaw. Everything was perfect. I'm not a bbq expert, but I know what I like, and the ribs were just delicious. Dave, the owner and pitmaster explained that in his opinion, "falling off the bone" is overcooked, so he leaves some texture when he cooks his. I enthusiastically agree after my lunch there!
