I am a bit of a barbecue snob, and have literally traveled the world tasting all kinds of barbecue. We had been meaning to try this place for a while, but it was always super busy, which isn't a bad thing. We finally were able to stop in today. It's a cute little place, very clean with a few tables inside. We got a two meat combo of brisket and pulled pork which comes with two sides, and we chose creamed corn and mac & cheese. We also ordered a side of potato salad and an order of jalapeño cheddar sausage. The sausage was fantastic and the brisket, which was part lean and part point was really very good as well. Moist and flavorful. Moist brisket is not easy to master. The pulled pork was lightly sauced, which I'm not a fan of, but I know that it's hard to keep pulled pork moist without putting something on it. It had good flavor, but I would have rather tasted the smoke and pork, and not the sauce. The creamed corn was the stuff dreams are made of, and the potato salad was really very good. The mac & cheese was just fine. A little dry and a little plain, maybe better for kids. All in all, it was pretty darn good barbecue and we will definitely come back. read more

HELPFUL HINTS. Meat is sold by the half pound, depending on the meat it's 8 to 9 per half pound. Half pound of the brisket yields about 6 to seven good slices. 1/2 pound of the rib is 3 ribs. The small size of sides is definitely enough for two folks to share. Meats are served without any sauce, choice of 4(?) sauces which are served in small containers. Eat in is limited to two 6 seating tables and a bar stool area of four seats. Great takeout food. Large unisex bathroom, could be a little cleaner but I used after the lunch rush so... Smoke show BBQ is hands down the best BBQ Restaurant/Caterer/ Takeout in NH. Their Texas style BBQ rivals the Best Austin Texas has to offer!!! The Brisket is perfectly seasoned with a excellent Bark and always Moist. Their Turkey is delicious and makes a tough decision between this and the Brisket. So I buy a little of both. We needed a quick bite on road trip. BBQ was quite good and we'd go back. It was counter service but the food was well made. We were early for lunch so it was pretty quiet. High top seats were comfortable and functional. Tried the "Goodness" which was pulled pork and pulled turkey w a light sauce. Delicious. We also had the Frito pie, Texas caviar (black bean, corn, red pepper, oinion) quite good, and the potatoe salad. Worth planning and brining home or there. read more

Our company just placed a massive order from this "BBQ" spot. and the food was absolutely terrible. All the chicken was under cooked throughout. The pulled pork was definitely old and dry like the corn bread and the ribs were also not cooked properly. You would think when someone places an order for thousands of dollars a smidge more effort would be made but apparently not. Unfortunately this isn't the first time we have gotten poor quality food from this place. But it will be last. Had lunch here the other day. Just passing through the area, However if I was a local this place would surely get my business on the regular. Flavorful and tender brisket with fall off the bone pork ribs, baked beans and Mac n cheese were all enjoyed. Everything on their menu looked enticing. Excellent brisket and sausage (jalapeño/cheddar). My wife had the Frito Pie and really enjoyed it (and she's really very picky). Portions of everything are generous and, and, and(!!!) they had collard greens. Hooray. And they were quite well done, with pot likker and everything. Staff was young but very attentive, prices were VERY reasonable and the ambiance was pretty good for 'industrial' BBQ. Will definitely be going back and trying lots of things off the menu (ribs are the next 'gotta have'). I hadn't realized (as Robert S. noted) that this was the place that used to be in a strip mall off Ft. Eddy Road. I'd written that place off. They have really taken to the new location well. No complaints whatsoever. Wish I could have added a beer from the next-door brew pub but I can't drink anymore but it certainly is convenient. read more

2.5 stars... If you follow my reviews you know I have a serious bbq addiction, and am very critical of these joints. Upon reaching the shop I was struck by the lack of presence of the namesake "smoke". Ordered the "goodness" sandwich as I thought it would give me an overall indicator along with the brisket my bride selected. Chose slaw and beans as sides. All was pretty average but the sandwich was good. Brisket was definitely tender, but sans smoke I was craving. The menu is annoyingly alacart so it begins to add up, and the cost /goodness ratio just didn't balance for me for a place with counter service. Ambiance is run down strip mall, prices were above expectation, and service was average. This joint does not make the list. read more

My husband just picked up the Family Package for dinner tonight. When he brought it home he mentioned it didn't look like a 1.5 lb total of meat (4 meat - brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage). So, we put it on our home scale and weighed it. Sure enough, it's short at least by 1/4 lb and that includes all the packaging. So, we're disappointed, and it's not worth the gas money to drive back. The rolls also need some work - they're not very appetizing and are completely smooshed flat. Might be better to leave them off the package deal or suggest an upgrade to cornbread. read more

I had the recommend turkey with Jacked Up Mashers. The turkey was fresh, juicy with lots of beautiful flavor. I had to try the Jacked up mash just because of the name, and I love mash potatoes it was also tasty. I was check on to make sure my meal was ok. Refreshing. I recommend this place! In short it just wasn't hitting the spot. I can't say it was bad BBQ, it was good. Just good enough to hold me for a little while and then it got old real fast. The only bad thing I have to say about the brisket is that it dried up very quickly. It's delicious right out of the smoker or the oven they kept it in. But very quickly it turned into the hard chewy brisket that fills you up immediately. Ribs were good. Just small. Seemed to let the rub soak into the meat a little with no real smoke flavor that I could tell. Still not to bad. Grabbed some Mac and cheese and their "jacked up" potatoes. I keep hoping I'm going to find baked Mac and cheese but I have my standards set too high. This was boiled Mac and then a heavy dose of peppered cheese sauce over it. Very gooey. It don't always like that but that's me. Jacked potatoes really didn't do much. Just mashed potatoes with some barely recognizable sour cream and some grated cheese. No home made drinks. Just a cooler. I know that some more legit places do the prices by weight. But it's been hard to find in New England. Kinda frustrating trying to figure out what you want. Most people seem to be satisfied with a sandwich. 3 sauces. Original is dedicated to the New Hampshire area code 603. The South Carolina gold is more mustard than a honey bbq mustard, dedicated to the area code of east South Carolina. And their hot sauce has a small but gratifyingly zing to it, dedicated to the area code of Austin. All in all I would say the place is OK. They do know BBQ but it just feels like the art and passion of how to get meaningful BBQ isn't quite there yet. But that's really hard to find. I'd still recommend it if your in the area. read more

Pulled pork sandwich was good, I had the brisket which was moist not dry. The mild barbecue sauce was flavourful not overpowering. Baked beans were exceptional, lots of flavor Made with love. The potato salad was good, coleslaw was OK, nothing to write home about. Definitely a place worth visiting, especially with Feathered friend brewery next door. read more

So disappointed after an anticipated visit to Smokeshow. We are original Texans, y'all! Was so excited to read about a BBQ place in the NE that resembles TX bbq but have to say... this didn't cut it. Now I'm not sure if the food was off due to Covid and it being slow on a Sunday, so that could be part of it. We spent $50 for the 2 of us - ordered Ribs, Brisket, Mac& Cheese and creamed corn. The ribs were probably the best thing that we tried. Smokey flavor and tender but kind of dry. Brisket was SO DRY it was unreal - I've ever had brisket like that. Mac & cheese was pasta with a roux and flour - there was no cheese that pulled apart and to be honest I don't think there was any cheese in here. BBQ places have to have good meat and solid Mac & cheese and we just didn't find it here. The 512 bbq sauce was also very unique... had a great kick to it, but I'm pretty sure it had cumin in it. Just an odd addition that really stuck out. Sad to say it smokeshow - we were really hoping to love the food but I'm not sure we'll be back! read more

Well well well. I was told this was the place for bbq in NH, (I'll be the judge of that). I had the Mac n cheese, baked bean as sides for the 2 meat plate which consisted of turkey and brisket. I originally ordered collard greens until they said they added brown sugar to them, ah no, I'll pass on the collards with sugar! The Mac n cheese, no! The baked beans, ah no! The turkey and the brisket.....ah, no.....dry which was not to my liking! However, I will say try it yourself, it's worth a try! It wasn't the worst, and it wasn't horrible, but I personally won't go back. read more

I want to give this place 4 stars, because the meat was good. Unfortunately, they charged me $10 for 4 pieces of cornbread which they did not put in my bag. I called when I got home and realized the cornbread was missing, and they said they would refund my card. It's been a week, and they never processed the refund. I would have just considered it a tip, but I had already given a good tip. It just left me feeling overcharged and dissatisfied about the disorganization of the business. We meant to take a photo of the smoked brisket before we ate it, but it smelled so good we forgot. This is easily the best barbecued meat I've ever had in New England. The brisket tasted exactly how a bonfire feels: smokey and full of joy. The meat was tender, high quality beef with very little fat. Absolutely delicious. We ordered baked beans, collard greens, and mashed potatoes as our sides, and they were delicious too. As for their COVID protocols -- we were very impressed. There is contactless (and seamless) takeout (you pick up behind the building, there are plenty of signs to direct you to the right spot). We live in Nashua, but we'll definitely be making the drive north for more Smokeshow. read more
