Absolutely incredible smoked wings that were fall off the bone. Also all were much bigger than average! 9.5/10 would definitely get again!!! Hot buffalo sauce was also very tasty but I wouldn't say it was overly hot. Great carryout experience and I would definitely order the wings again. The side of broccoli was weak. $3.99 for 4 regular pieces and one tiny piece of broccoli seems like a bit of a scheme to me, hardly a "side" Regardless I am still giving 5 stars based on how good these wings are! 100% recommend the smoked wings read more

Decided to rate being that my first experience was that the ribs were dry and over cooked. This time, I tried the pulled pork sandwich... pulled pork was very chunky and super dry. First time at this place -- I ordered takeout thanks to a promo I received by email, and it did not disappoint. We got the smoky ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and mac and cheese -- everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge, and the flavors were truly unique. We also tried the smoked wings, and the mango habanero ones were amazing -- not too spicy -- and the chipotle BBQ sauce added the perfect final touch. Soon after landing in Georgia, we wanted to set off in search of some of that famed "Southern hospitality." That journey wasn't a lengthy one as we soon had the good fortune of meeting Adrienne at "Smokey Bones" in Columbus. She immediately greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home! We decided to go "all in" on our "all rib" entrees and enjoyed both their "Signature House Smoked Ribs" and their "Imported Baby Back Ribs." While the deliciousness of their ribs was of no surprise, the quality of their sides was and the "Mashed Potato and Gravy" and the "BBQ Baked Beans" were good enough to emerge from the shadow of their entrée counterparts and forge their individual paths. I have to admit that I felt excitedly like we were being admitted to an exclusive Southern fraternity/sorority when Adrienne mentioned that she'd be bringing a "bone bag" to accompany our meals. I (eventually) figured out that she was bringing us a paper bag...for us to put our bones into...when we were finished with them. (It's ok if you feel the need to read that a few times over to get the gist. That just means that you and I could then start that exclusive fraternity/sorority that I mistakenly thought already existed! ‍) While enjoying some BBQ in the South was something I had always aspired to experience, I also had my first taste of "Sweet Tea" and it was everything that I had hoped for. I love to order the classic or smoked wings and love the variety of flavors that are offered. Most times, the wings were cooked perfectly with great flavor and plenty of wing sauce. But I've had a couple experiences where the wings were overcooked and dry and the skin on the chicken looked raw or not browned an appetizer. Those few times I didn't have enough sauce either. Just would appreciate consistency, especially in Wings! All in all, I do go back. read more

Had a good experience at Smokey Bones. I had the smoked chicken, chipotle salad, and it was very enjoyable. It was plenty of food and quite tasty. Also order some wings. I got the smoked wings and just a regular buffalo sauce. They tasted good but were a bit overcooked. The restaurant was quiet for a typical bar and Grill, but it was also lunchtime. it was a comfortable place to have lunch. The service was actually very good. I've been to this Smokey Bones about 6 or 7 times. It's definitely what I would call middle of the road. They do nothing special or better than other places around here. I'd say they're a 2.5 or 3/5. Why have I gone so many times then? Because some teammates of mine like it (over my objections), so we go once a month or so. Tonight we went in - got seated reasonably fast (that's worth noting, as one time we spent like five minutes at the host stand in an empty restaurant...our theory being the host was on something, he was acting so bizarre), got our drinks reasonably quickly, and placed our order fairly fast as well. It would go one to take roughly an hour to get our food. For three people. And keep in mind, there was maybe four other tables with customers at this point. We were all doing the Monday Special of BOGO for wings. First guy ordered 12 wings, which came with 12 extra. Next guy and myself both ordered 6 wings, which should come with 6 more. Waitress took our order without saying anything. Then she came back with what I am guessing was the manager about 20 minutes later. He told us that 6 wings aren't available for the BOGO, only 12 and 18. But he said since we didn't know that he'd let it slide this one time. We get our food. First guy got 24, me and my buddy each had 12. We get the bill and we were charged for 12, not 6. When asked, the waitress said "yeah, that's what he explained to you". Which it wasn't what he explained. If we were being charged for 12, we could have (and maybe should have) asked for our 12 free wings. The only problem: neither us wanted to wait for another hour to get them. And again, that's not an exaggeration. One guy happened to send a text right before we ordered. When our food finally showed up, he said "damn almost an hour to the minute". We won't be back, and I can't recommend any try this over any one of the many competitors in the same complex. I recently dined here to try their new burgers. They have a secret menu I heard about. I tried the Kahuna burger topped with pineapple and "The Burger Experience". It has been a while since I had a really good, juicy burger and this one checked all the boxes - with cheese oozing out of it, it was so huge I could only eat half. I can't wait to go back and try another burger or wings at Smokey Bones. There are not many good options on the way from Atlanta to Panama City Beach, but so glad to have this spot as our go to! read more

Went out for dinner, wasn't to busy as it was mother's day evening. Had no wait compared to other places we looked into, once seated it was like we were forgotten about, even though there were plenty of empty seats. Waited almost 15 minutes to get our drinks and get our order in. Once ordered it took about 45 minutes to get 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals. After being told our order would be expedited due to just waiting. One of the kids meals came out with barely any fries as we were told someone dropped them and we would get more, which never came. One of the adult meals was missing the items that was supposed to be on it but that wasn't a concern as the waiter was to busy talking to other people. Also used the table kiosk to call the waiter and nobody came over after waiting 15 minutes, but plenty other workers walked rite by just glancing at the blinking light. All in all wasn't to thrilled with the experience or the food, other places have tastier BBQ then what we just experienced. Our server did her job but wasn't very friendly either. Once again as if we were a bother for supporting the business. Food was just okay. A limited selection is also available to quick order on the touchpad. Food/Drinks: Huge selection of food! The barbeque looked great but I went with the Loaded BBQ Burger with beef patty, onion rings, and pulled pork. The sauces on the table complimented the burger well. My partner and I finally decided to stop by Smokey bones this afternoon for the first time and we were not disappointed! Our server Autumn recommend an amazing drink, "the bourbon black berry lemonade". For someone who dislikes any liquors, especially dark liquors, I was skeptical but I am so glad she suggested it. My partner got the watermelon margarita and enjoyed it very much as well. We shared nachos and a sirloin for our mains. The steak was cooked to perfection. We thought we were full and ready to leave until we heard about the chocolate cake dessert. My family and I went to this restaurant on May 20, and the food was terrible. I felt so sorry for the server because she tried to make the best of a bad situation. It was 7 of us and it was so crazy that each one of us received our meal one person at a time. It took an hour for all of us to get our meals. The St . Louis ribs dinner was the worst. The bake beans were dry and taste as if they had come out of a microwave. My granddaughter ordered a hamburger and fries. The fries were old. My other granddaughter couldn't eat her food either. She didn't get what she ordered. By the time my oldest daughter got her food, it was time to leave and come back to Atlanta. Therefore she got it to go. I understand now why the restaurant was almost empty. Never again will I spend $300 on this place. read more
