I came here about 3 weeks ago and the evening was a disaster. After waiting nearly 1.5 hours for my food, they brought me the wrong entree and they also gave me the wrong entree for a to go order. But, I had a coupon a d decided to go back and give Smokey Bones a chance to redeem itself. (I've been a long-time customer. ) Tonight, Smokey Bones didn't disappoint. When I came in, I wasn't expecting much since their hostess (the one with dyed blond hair) said absolutely nothing to me. She didn't smile or even look up. But I was seated in David's section. He greeted me and was so pleasant and professional. He is truly a star employee for Smokey Bones. He took my order (and everything was correct) and came back to my table several times to check on me. I had actually ordered from here Thursday night as it was spring break and I was at a sleepover about to go to the beach the next day. I got the 6 piece lemon pepper wings and this was the only thing i had eaten that day so I was starving. The wings were very dry and the next day when i woke up for the beach I had gotten food poisoning and was vomiting them right back up.. This ruined my beach trip and I felt sick the whole time. The beverages were unpalatable even after requesting the be replaced. Service was slow, server seemed over loaded. I went out to eat here on a Friday around 4 pm and there was NOBODY there! I loved it! We got to pick our booth and everything. As soon as we were seated our Waitress Whitney came right over and took our orders. She had so many great suggestions for everything! I love when waiters/waitresses know their menu's. It makes it a lot easier for customers to try new things. One of the drinks she suggested was the Blushing strawberry Sangria.!!!! and OMG, Whitney if you are reading this Thank you! I so appreciate you! lol This had to be one of the best drinks I've ever tasted. I love fruity drinks and it was delicious... It wasn't a strong drink but it will give you a little buzz. (I had to get 2 to get a buzz) I ordered the smoked wings tossed in the brown sugar glaze and they were bangin! I normally don't suck the bone when I eat wings, but dammit I was thinking about it that day! Great service from the start! Got there for lunch on Sunday, moderately busy, Therisa was our server, she was awesome from the moment we sat down. She is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and had a very friendly positive vibe. She knew all the specials, made great suggestions and was very prompt with checking in and refilling the drinks without asking. I was with my son who is very shy. And when dessert time, he was hoping for just chocolate ice cream, which the didn't have, but Therisa made the suggestion of vanilla with lots of chocolate syrup. She even made him feel at ease by sharing a story her childhood and wanting ice cream at a buffet. If it were only for the service I would give easily 5 stars because Therisa made it great! But the food was really good too! The cornbread was so good that my son, who doesn't like corn bread ate half the plate easily, add on the vanilla pudding I had and it is definitely another 5 stars! I bought $57 worth of food that the quality was worth barely $10. I ordered two 2/3 worth of ribs(one was baby back with brown sweet glaze & the other St.Louis original flavor). When I arrived to pick up my order, I was met by a friendly worker. I made sure to check my bag to then realize I was cheated out of food. The ribs were 1/3 rack clearly and they placed them on top of each other in the to go plate. I must say, I think it does not make sense to mix ribs together when I ordered 2 differ types of 2 different flavors. I genuinely wanted to try them out separately yet had no clue which was which.Then left out one whole item I ordered (big macNcheese). I go inside and the waitresses are huddled up with one huge party in the front. One looks at me while continues to just stand to the side and listen on to the other 2 girls that were dealing with the party leaving me to wait for service. Eventually one of the other I explained how my order was messed up. She goes to the back for a while (about a good 10mins) then brings out a new bag with a now one to go platter of the right amount of ribs. Note: I ordered 2 types of ribs that I paid 2/3 worth. At this point I don't even want to keep pressing the issue. I get home to discover the ribs are over cooked, the mashed potatoes bland and Mac n cheese that I fought for not even cheesy. More like just wet noodles with zero flavor.I'm very disappointed with the food I received. This was my first time there and I did not feel valued. I have been to this restaurant 3 times this week and ate a different entree each time. Each visit has been absolutely amazing!! The food quality is exquisite, the service is impeccable, and the whole facility is warm and welcoming! I absolutely love the pretzel bones with the nice warm cheese! The freshly fried pickles, and the corn bread with the honey pecan butter!! I would recommend getting the Texas Style Beef brisket platter, Brisket stuffed grilled cheese, or my personal favorite... the Smoke house Mac and cheese with Brisket! The reason I am giving this place such a low rating is because my friends and I went there for a pre-movie drink so we just went up to the bar. The bartender though didn't even notice us for the almost ten minutes and we ordered two beers and a cocktail. My buddy got a refill on his whiskey and coke since he finished first but my other friend and I finished our beers and had time for another but due to the bartender's inattention I didn't get one before our movie showtime. I came here during a business trip. It is a decent place with reasonable food. I would say it meets my expectation for a casual bbq place. The waitress we got is quite friendly and attentive. I was impressed by the ordering gadget on each table. I ordered wings and baby-back ribs. I had steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries as my sides. The flavors for both wings and ribs are too sweet for my taste and I would say the ribs are not as tender/juicy as I would like them to. But I still managed to eat more than half of the half-rack I ordered. A warning, if you do not plan to bring left overs, 1/3 rack is more than enough if you are not a huge eater. I noticed that a side of broccoli is three pieces of broccoli and a side of fries will cover your entire plate. Just be mindful if you would rather have more greens. read more

I went to Smokey Bones with my husband and his aunt the day before his graduation last August. It was between Smokey Bones or B-Dubbs - the battle to decide between the two was intense! His aunt wanted to eat some "southern cookin'" so that's how we ended up here. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious!!! The day I went there was the day I fell IN LOVE with cornbread. This food was terrible! If you go to a bbq restaurant, shouldn't the bbq taste like bbq? Our food has no smoked flavor at all. My husband and I shared a combo meal of ribs, chicken, and pulled pork baked beans mashed potato's and bread. The meat was bland, and the potato's tasted like box mashed potato's. All three kids had burgers and fries, which they said were ok. We ordered three drinks and two waters and it was 91 dollars. None of us finished our food, and none of us took Togo boxes.
