Honestly this was a pretty terrible experience. Our server, Antonio, seemed to have put more effort into his mustache than into the level of service provided. We ordered drinks with no ice and he brought drinks with ice in them. He barely stopped walking by our table to check on us. The plates he brought us were dirty and we had to wipe them down ourselves. The food was mediocre. Probably will not be back to this establishment and I can't in good conscious recommend that anyone else eat here, either. read more

Fast seating for a Saturday night at 600 pm. Waiter here in less than 4 Min The beer is cold. Now for the ribs. My spouse and I ordered the 1/3 rack and a house rack just for the fun of it we started a stopwatch to see how long and we waited for food. Yes 23 min later and our food was set in front of us starving people ( no beer left ). But we'll manage. Great ribs nicely done and served hot. Sides were great consisting of potato and coleslaw Fries and apples for me. Shayla was a great waitress and it was worth the time to stop in and have a great meal we will be back as the service was far better than it was three months ago ( it was abysmal ). Stopped in for a quick lunch before leaving town early on a Friday. The food was good, service was good and the drinks were delicious. I got a couple of the triple rum punches. The wait to sit was a little long even though there were plenty of tables available - host/waiter said this was due to the kitchen being backed up. Besides that - amazing!! I've eaten at BBQ joints all across the country and most of them have been small private establishments. The only chain BBQ I've frequented often is Famous Dave's. The lovely wife and I have visited our local location many times. Smoky Bones is a chain so when I walked in my mind immediately began comparing the two. Let the competition begin! I sat at the bar and received excellent service throughout my entire meal. No complaints at all. To be fair, that's also true when we visit FDs. The menus are similar. Choose your meat from among the usual BBQ suspects and then add two sides from a long list. There are also multi-meat combos available. Expect to pay in the mid-teens ($12-$16) for your entrée. I went with the BEEF BRISKET which was supposedly marinated for 24 hours and then smoked for 6 more. For my sides I choose BBQ Baked Beans and Fire Roasted corn. My food arrived quickly and was plated nicely but the first thing I noticed was my portion of brisket was very small. It looked like a child's portion. At FDs I would have received double the amount for the same price. To make matters worse, it was very tough and difficult to cut. Once I did manage to get a piece into my mouth it was tasty. My sides deserve special mention as they were exceptional. The beans were full of chunks of meat and the fire roasted corn was delicious. Both were better than FDs. Unfortunately for Smokey Bones the meat should be the star of the show and it was lacking in quantity and quality. FDs is right up the street. Next time you'll find me there. read more

I buy from Smokey Bones quite often. I am a regular customer and know how things are done there. But yesterdays order was ridiculous. I had purchased two full racks of baby back ribs Boneless wings and Loaded Fries for a Birthday Dinner. I received one baby back and one St Louis. How could you not see the difference. Also an appetizer of onion rings. My onion rings were in a small brown bag I think this is the doughnut bag. Which looked like a side order.How in the world is 5 onion rings considered an appetizer? And when my daughter brought this up to the manager he argued with her and told her it was an appetizer. And that he weighed the onion rings. So we each had one onion ring. Wow! But when she arrived home and l looked in the bag I said no way. I understand there is a problem hiring employees but Smokey Bones has always been one of my favorite restaurants and to see things go downhill like this looks like Smokey Bones is a great restaurant of the past. We've come here sporadically over the years, but tonight's service made for a miserable experience that took far longer than it should of. My three buddies and I had lunch here yesterday. This was their first visit here, but in their words, "We will be back!" We were seated promptly. Both the waitress and the manager bent over backwards to be certain we were well served. Their Covid measures were all very sound and as seamless as is safely possible. The food was served promptly and was fantastic. Three of us had pulled pork sandwiches, while the fourth had baby back ribs. All were extremely tender, juicy and delicious. One guy had the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and chocolate sauce. It looked rather decadent. We'll never know because he didn't share. There was not a lot to choose from the appetizer menu. Got the buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The chicken was pretty dry and not breaded. The fries were amazing. Our waiter was super nice but the food came out slow. Easily spent under $30 for two people and we were both satisfied the atmosphere is kind of bland, especially by the booths. The place is dirty, all the bbq bottles on the table were not clean. I really didn't want to touch anything....should have just turned around and walked out at that point. My boyfriend pulled a foot long hair from his mouth that was in his hamburger. Thankfully they took his meal off the bill.....but still it was disgusting. My friend and I needed a place to eat at 9:30 pm on a Sunday night, so we went into Smokey Bones because not much else was open that late. We ordered the fried pickles, which was mediocre. She got a pulled pork sandwich and stew, and I got the BBQ hamburger. I liked my meal, but the pulled pork in the burger was a tad dry. I do like the selection of sauces the place offers, BUT I wish they would label it. 5 bottles of BBQ sauce with different tip color doesn't say much about the flavor. Will I be coming back? possibly. I was disappointed in the size of my loaded cheese fries (they were tiny and one of the more expensive sides). Also the music was just loud enough to be distracting and not in the background.
