    BBQ sauce

Some great quality BBQ and nice deals on on UberEats. They have most of the typical BBQ place/truck items, like ribs, pork, chicken, and sides. I tried their pulled pork (a pound), coleslaw, mac n cheese, and cornbread pudding. The pulled pork pound meal came with no sides, but it came from the 'by the pound' section, so I expected that. The meat itself was very good, and the texture was perfect. Not too fatty at all. The sauce that came with it was delicious and the portion was great. The meat was tender and extremely juicy. The cornbread pudding was quite good, and a nice balance between savory and sweetness. It wasn't exactly 'pudding' or dessert, but it was great. Little pieces of whole corn kernels and maybe some peppers in there as well. Moist texture. The Mac n cheese was just okay. It was on the oilier side and not that cheesy, but still good. All the sides come in decent portions for the price. The coleslaw was also relatively standard but I enjoyed it. It was not super creamy and still refreshing. It tasted like it was made from fresh ingredients and complimented the meat well. All in all, this place is pretty great. It's up there as one of the better BBQ places in the area. Prices are quite good and the flavors are nice. I'd recommend the pulled pork and coleslaw the most.

    Dip duo

Our first visit here and it was fantastic. We were seated right away because we went early. There were a lot of people there which made us happy. Our server, Annalise, was very kind and attentive. All of the food was delicious. We had the brisket quesadillas, Brussels sprouts, and dip duo as starters. The dip duo was complimentary from the chef. For entrees we had lobster Mac & Cheese and the brisket and ribs. Wow! Everything was delicious and the cocktails were good too. We will definitely be back.

A great new BBQ place in the area. I believe they've been known as a food truck, but now they have an actual location for you to grab your favorites. Keep in mind there's only outdoor seating, so it was a bit disappointing we had to take our food to go due to the cold. It will be a great location once summer comes, as you can sit in the outdoor seats in Southside Works. We ordered the Smoked Meat Platter to share and really enjoyed it! It comes with plenty of food including, pulled pork, brisket, 4 ribs, 2 slices of turkey and pickles and onions. White bread was also supposed to come with it for the pulled pork, but ours wasn't included so we just ate it with a fork. All the meat was very tender and their BBQ sauce on the sauce was tasty. They have a spicy and original version, but I couldn't really tell the difference too much. Overall enjoyed the food and will plan on coming back when it's warmer.

How did I not know this place was here? We were in Monongahela for my wife's doctors appointment…read moretoday and saw that this place was a 4.5 star rating. We arrived around 1 PM and was seated immediately inside. They put a nice outside deck on and the owner informed us that they don't have enough staff to open the outside deck. The pandemic has been difficult on all businesses finding employees. Our food was arrived timely. Staff was kind, respectful and knowledgeable. Menu prices have increased since last year due to the pandemic. However, the quality of the food that we got was excellent. My wife said her sweet potato fries were the best that she has ever had in her life! My ribs, fries and baked beans were excellent. Our strawberry cake was huge and we had to take it to go!!! Enjoy!!!

Car and truck noise from adjoining road was pretty loud at times. Extensive menu based around smoked or fried food. We enjoyed 3 different menu items. Servings were very generous and tasty. I had a brisket salad. Veggies were fresh and chopped so it was easy to eat. Brisket had great taste and smoke ring but was not cooked long enough to be tender. My expectations that the meat would be shredded but brisket was sliced and tough. Fried onion rings were a surprise as well as the fried potato wedges. Chicken salad salad was similar. The hamburger was very thick so she cut in half. It would have been easier to have requested to be cut in kitchen. It was good enough that I would return but not good enough that I've would seek it out.

Stopped here on three different Saturdays between December 2020 and February 2021. They're only…read moreopen on Saturdays starting at 11 AM until 4 PM, unless they sell out earlier. And trust me, they sell out quick. Too bad they don't sell on Sundays like before a Steelers game (hint, hint),...or later in the evening for dinner (hint, hint). First, thank you to all of the workers wearing masks. I'll always support those local businesses that actually care about their customers and each other. Plus, the staff there is super friendly. Second, while it's great for their business, I'm not a big fan of their "call in" orders. Reason? You can be standing in line, looking at their menu, decide what you want, your salivating glands start their engines,...and one of the workers will come up to the menu board and wipe away a menu item you had your eyes on. Sorry Marty,...just a personal "beef." (Get it?) First stop, we got the buy-two-get-one pork chops ($14) and the half chicken ($8), each swimming in their BBQ sauce,...maybe a little too much sauce but they are generous in that respect. Now, I'm not sure what happened here. But I may have made a mistake by buying these around noon time then saving them for dinner. The chops were both fairly big and thick. We ended up reheating them in the microwave; not sure if this is what did it or they were just overcooked on the grill but the chops were really dry. As for the chicken? It was worse. Unfortunately, it appeared to be slightly under cooked, and the skin was leathery (again, possibly due to reheating in the microwave). The sauce? I got mild on the chops and hot on the chicken, and frankly we couldn't tell the difference between the two (maybe they made a mistake and gave us mild on both). Honestly, we just didn't enjoy the chops and the chicken, but to be fair, it may have been better eating these straight off the grill. Second trip, we had the hot pepper cheese kielbasa ($3.50), the ¼ lb cheese dog ($2.75), and the 1 lb sausage sandwich ($9). The buns are served on the side (a nice touch so things don't get soggy). Things were a lot better this time. We liked the kielbasa - good flavor, nice snap to it. Worth the price. The cheese dog was OK. Sliced down the middle with what looks like American cheese mixed throughout. The lighter shade meat looks like a mix (pork, chicken, whatever); I'm guessing it wasn't 100% beef. We really liked the 1 lb sausage sandwich. Y'know how some places say they have hot sausage, then you bite into and there's nothing? Well, this sausage actually has some spice to it! Top it with their hot sauce and now you've got something. We actually split it into three's and it was well worth the price. The extra large bun they provide was much appreciated. The sauce the second time around was also much better and easily discernible. The mild sauce on the kielbasa and cheese dog had little more peppery bite to it than the last go 'round, but the hot sauce definitely lived up to its name. Third go 'round we got the ribs (half slab - $14) and the pulled pork (1/2 lb - $6). If you order the ribs, you're gonna need the sauce. We tried eating them without the sauce,...and all we tasted was charcoal. We'll put this on the "DOA" list ("Don't Order Again"). The pulled pork was a different story - THAT, my friends, was some good stuff. I'd recommend asking them for an extra bun for this order. You can definitely get two nice sized sandwiches out of what they give you. Or, head to Foodland next door, pick up some slider buns, and share the love with your friends and family. You can get the sauce served on the side in a relatively large in a container with your choice of mild or hot sauce. We had extra so we froze it, thawed it out and served it on some homemade wings (hint, hint). I was leaning towards giving them a 3 out of 5, but based on their customer service and me possibly making a mistake reheating the chops and chicken in the microwave, I decided to give them a 4/5. The reason - I always ask myself this question,... Would I go back? I actually would,...but I'm going there with the philosophy "if it ain't going on a bun, I ain't ordering it."
