Food was AMAZING, lots of high quality food for little money. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Seating was abundant, indoor chapel seating or outdoor picnic tables ano/or picnic blankets provided. Homemade desserts were fabulous. Beer selection was great as well. Lots of kids activities to keep the littles entertained (corn hole-connect 4 board-frisbees, etc) We are in the area from Chicago but if we lived nearby, we'd be back often. Cool place, great food, friendly people.

Great food. Great ambience. Great live music. Best burger I've ever had. Friendly staff. I'm just sorry I waited so long to try it out.

You go in through some tables and there is a foodtruck in the back. You order and can sit at one of the tables inside or outside. The owner, Roberto, was so nice. He gave us a couple samples to try. The ceviche was really delicious. We also had a barbacoa plate and a fish taco plate. They make a variety of hot sauces, all from scratch and very fresh. Everything we had was delicious. They have another restaurant in Woodfin that we have yet to try. I am just glad we found this authentic Mexican place!

The menu is simpler - a limited palette. We had the fish tacos, several little tacos autenticos, and fresh guacamole. Perfect. Everything delicious and quickly served. Roberto and his helper were quiet, funny, and gracious. It's December. The sitting room is heated by wood stove - very nicely. The sauces were homemade and fresh. We went home with eight tamales to serve story with wine and appetizers before Christmas dinner. Weaverville is lucky. Do you like the cooking of Gladys or Roberto? Have fun sampling their menus and don't hurry your decision. They are great cooks of authentic Mexican street food.

The doughnuts are double the size of most doughnuts and doubly good. The pretzels are huge, butter basted, warm and delicious. It's not inexpensive but the tastes will cure you of any sticker shock. I spent $40+ for 1/2 dozen regular-1/2 dozen chocolate dipped doughnuts and 6 pretzels with dipping sauces and didn't regret a penny of what I spent. Came back on my way out of town and got a pretzel dog and pretzel for breakfast as well as some doughnuts for later. The food trailer in some of the pictures has been replaced by a building on the edge of Troyer's parking lot. You order at the window and most times there's going to be a line. It's a takeout business so you are on your own if you want to eat right away. The folks are friendly and efficient and orders are filled quickly once you get to the window. If you want to get a preview just search Auntie Ruth's on YouTube and enjoy. It's how I learned that there are a bunch of them in East Tennessee. I just know that if I didn't have enough incentive already to visit my niece then Auntie Ruth's finishes the job.

It seems that they glaze all of them and then they top it with which ever one you decide. I got the espresso one but ended up wiping off most of the frosting because it's just too sweet. But it was very good. I also got the pretzel which is also ginormous. Next time I'll ask for it without salt because even wiping off all the salt it was still very salty but it was very very good and soft. If you don't have time and your rush then don't bother coming here because it was probably about a half an hour wait in line.

I haven't found an enormous amount of Middle Eastern cuisine in Asheville, but this place brought…read morethe vibe. It's small and unassuming in a strip mall in West Asheville. My takeout was ready on time. While the falafel roll still might have been better fresh, I wanted something that I could plausibly eat several hours later on a mountain without a ton of restaurants nearby, and that choice worked out well. Many falafel rolls come with add-ons that I don't like, but the pickled turnip offering here was both flavorful and colorful. I also got their fries, drizzles with tahini and parsley, which is a good way to eat fries. A case of baked goods and a small market section of canned items were also available. There was certainly space to eat inside or out for someone without my travel schedule. It's also notable that in addition to the usual falafel, they offer ample vegan options as befits the Asheville community, including a house seitan and some other vegetable and fake meat options. I was happy with what I got, but the choice is always appreciated.

I have had falafel in various places all over the country and in Europe and this is in my top two! The Falafel is excellent, the portions are large and everything I have tried at Gypsy Queen has been delicious. I've brought several friends to the restaurant and they have all loved it. Gypsy Queen is one of my go-to places whenever I'm in Asheville. I live in Barnardsville and sometimes I go down there just to have some falafel. Try it for yourself!
