I come into this Smoothie King a lot, the people are always nice and the smoothies are on point. I'm writing this review so the owner will get a clue and take action. For the last 3 weeks this place has smelled like ROTTEN MILK. like smack you in the face as soon as you walk in the door stanking rotten milk. Maybe someone spilled something behind a freezer, maybe something died, I don't know - But clean it up!! The second thing is today they were out of bananas. Hey I understand restaurants run out of ingredients - BUT BANANAS ARE IN MOST SMOOTHIES - and more importantly there is a KROGER NEXT DOOR. Bananas are the cheapest thing in the produce section. I waited 5 mins along with a long line of other customers. The trash was over flowing and not the best kept in cleanliness. When all 4 employees finally came out from the back, I wrestled with no one having mask, or gloves. I'm not even sure if they washed their hands. The employees are friendly and patient when you're "uhmmminggg" at the menu and can't decide to whether or not to get the angel food or carrot kale dream. Maybe it's just me but it seem a little dirty behind the cash wrap and the tiny space and 10 blenders going and make your wait seems like hours. So frustrating the location at 3330 Piedmont road, Atlanta, GA. the systems are always down or something is broken. We went out of our way to go there today bc could not order on the app (always happens) and the phone rang, no answer. Got there and they were only taking exact cash only. My husband went in to buy two smoothies, about $16.00 total and asked for a cup of water for our dog who was in the car. The sales associate told him he had to buy a bottle of water or pay for a smoothie so he could get a cup of water. A little ridiculous. Just received the WORST customer service!! Came in, wasn't greeted by the person who was currently making a smoothie. Stood at the counter for a minute before I heard someone screaming and cussing angrily in the back. She came out about 45 seconds later mumbling what I think was "how are you?" She took my order and when I asked how she was doing she said she "ready to leave." I ordered a medium nutty super grain plain and a small nutty super grain with strawberries. The woman who made the smoothies, put strawberries in the medium one instead of the small and when I asked if she put strawberries in the small she said no, threw the straws down and walked away. Walking in, I should've known what type of customer experience this would shortly turn into. As I proceed to order my smoothie in a lobby area filled with people on $5 Fridays, I watched the girl behind the counter take a smoothie she'd just made the wrong way and dump it back into the blender with more ice, which made no sense at all. So, once I ordered my smoothie, I had a feeling something would be wrong with mines after waiting 20 minutes. It's not the wait I'm upset about, but as I sit here and attempt to drink this Vanilla Hulk, no turbinado, add peanut butter, I can't even enjoy it because this girl must've put the whole damn ice machine in one smoothie. Every time I try to suck through the straw, an ice chunk stops me from doing so. I imagine I'm not the only person whose half way home by now wishing they would've known this before pulling out of the parking lot. This is awful and shows very little attention to detail. I mean cmon, it's a smoothie, which is put together in a blender...how hard is it to make sure there's no ice in the smoothie? I was in town from NYC vising a friend in Atlanta this past weekend. Yesterday afternoon the temperatures were sweltering, so we decided to seek out something to cool off and we ended up at Smoothie King at Piedmont Peachtree Crossing. I have never been to a Smoothie King establishment, so I was not familiar with their menu items. As I perused the menus that were listed in the store, I found a fruit and vegetable combo smoothie that appealed to me. (The Apple Kiwi Kale). However, when reviewing the two posted menus which featured a description of this smoothie, one had strawberries listed in the ingredients and other one did not. I then proceeded to place my order with the clerk and pointed out to her the discrepancy with the two menus and I informed her that I wanted my smoothie prepared with strawberries, (the way that it was listed on the first menu on the far left of the register). The clerk then proceeded to ask her manager (a young woman named Bayza) if the item came with or without strawberries. When Bayza informed her that the smoothie did not include strawberries, the clerk then proceeded to point out the menu discrepancies to her manager and informed her that the item was indeed listed with strawberries on one of the posted menus. Bayza then proceeded to inform both of us that there was error on the menu and that she was going to have to take that error down at some point. However, if I wanted strawberries in my smoothie then she would have to charge me extra. At that point, I politely informed Bayza that while I understood that it was an error on their part to have it listed that way on the menu, I still wanted the item with the strawberries and that I did not feel that I should have to pay extra for it as it was THEIR error to describe and advertise it listing that ingredient. At this point, the manager (Bayza,) dismissively addressed me and stated, "We apologize for the error and we will fix it, but you still have to pay extra for the strawberries." I again, explained to her my position and my friend also chimed in and informed Bayza that because the item was advertised and listed that way and it was their error, I should not have to pay extra. The manager then continued to address us in a dismissive manner and again stated, "Yeah, but you are still going to have to pay extra.. Do you want the smoothie or not?" At that point, I informed her that I no longer wanted the item or anything else that they had to offer and I left. I have never had an experience like this in a franchise establishment of this nature. The manager's dismissive and rude tone was unbelievable. Especially in light of the fact that THEY were the ones who made an error with the menu. To expect me to have to pay extra for their error was just plain wrong! While I cannot speak on the quality of the products at this particular location of Smoothie King, I can say that their customer service is horrible! My advice to you is to do yourself a favor and do what I did. If you want a good smoothie and great customer service then head about a half mile down the road to Planet Smoothie (located at 2900 Peachtree Rd). Not only are their smoothies amazing but their customer service was superb! For me Smoothie King gets a one star rating and the one star was ONLY because the location is conveniently located in the Buckhead area in a strip mall that has plenty of parking. read more

Walked in on Saturday afternoon after a stroll around Lenox & before a movie at AMC. the two workers (ladies) were extremely loud when we walked in; and I know it wasn't due to the blenders because they weren't running. we stood back to read the menu to see what we wanted but we were seemed rushed because she asked twice if we were ready to order (I guess we were interrupting their conversation). we ordered and paid and moved to to where we wait for our smoothies. a lady and her son walked in and ordered w/ one worker. the other worker that was supposed to begin our smoothies (which we needed before a movie start time) stopped what she was doing to go over and converse w/ the other worker & the customer. what should've been 5-10 minutes to make 2 smoothies ended up being 20 minutes of us waiting. we love Smoothie King but this location was ridiculous. read more
