My estimated pick up time was 10:49 but I was there at 10:40 and it was already ready. I usually order the banana strawberry but decided to get the blueberry strawberry this time. I would say this is better because it's not as sweet even with the 50% sweetness reduction. I had the worst experience today with a worker, due to the fact my smoothie was made wrong & it was disgusting. He was the worst I have ever dealt with in any Smoothie King. He was very disrespectful. To the point we were arguing. A older lady tried to defuse the altercation. Calling the manager & saying it's early the kid could be grumpy. No excuse for his actions. Maybe because I was a black woman doing what I was told over the phone. And he didn't want to abide by what I was told. He just kept saying we can't help you very rudely. Talking junk as well. Saying you should have came back the same day. When I explained I could not due to being at work & not working on this side. But I was told to keep my reciept & come back when I could. And they had my name written down. Did just that to get treated like I wasn't a customer. I wasn't in the wrong. For doing what I was told. But after this I will never go to this location ever again. To be honest I had a hard time finding this location the first time I went here but now that I know it's a breeze to find. This location is at the very beginning of the shopping center next to the Original Pancake House. They have a couple of parking spaces right out front that are just for them that make breezing in and out easy. The space isn't large. There are no seats inside but they do have patio seating. They have a wide variety of other healthy eats and treats nicely displayed inside. They range from having 1 employee sometimes to having 5+ on $5 Fridays. But the wait is never long inside. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. Make sure you sign up with the app to earn rewards and get your receipt because there is normally a dollar off coupon on the bottom once you complete a survey. First time here as I was craving a smoothie bowl and live nearby. Definitely NOT healthy, seems like sugar or juice or some concentrated flavoring is put in these smoothies. It was good but very very sweet, so don't expect to eat here and be healthy. Also the portion was small for the price, other smoothies places give you double the portion for a dollar more. read more

Yeah, these guys deserve it. I went on a $5 Friday to get a new flavor in place of the Vegan Kale Mango new offering and without hesitation, a long explanation, things were just handled. And, they were in the process of training a newbie while juggling 7 orders that were present in the store and no telling how many call-ins. BE WARNED: you enter and turn to the right to order at the cash register and no place else. I learned this via a customer and only after standing in the wrong end for at least 5 minutes. Anywhoo, that's the only drawback. With that, these guys deserve 5 stars for handling the process as best as possible with so many customers. I think my last visit to Smoothie King was back in college. Back then it was never a meal replacement; it was always the drink that went with my meal. Ten years later we all know how our bodies like to hold onto anything extra. Now I find myself searching out smoothies on the regular as a legitimate meal replacement. So I decided I ought to give them a shot again. Maybe they're not that jock-overrun, bro-y atmosphere of my college years. Granted of course this one is nowhere near a college campus either. I think I've been pleasantly surprised. I have nothing bad to say short of the outrageous prices on their individually wrapped granola bars and the like. (You should just avoid those unless you're really pressed for time. Buy a box at Trader Joe's or something.) The smoothies aren't bad. I've now had the Green Tea Tango (not a huge fan; sweeter than expected) and the Greek Yogurt Strawberry Blueberry (would absolutely get it again...may not even try anything else). Oh I definitely will give some others a try though. I like how smoothly they blend these here. They really exemplify the name "smoothie". I would be remiss not to mention that the folks working here are incredibly friendly. Practically on the level of Chick-fil-A employees. If it was just for the chance to banter I'd certainly come back for another. The smoothies are pretty big with the smallest size available being 20oz. You can easily get full on one. I do hate that they don't pour into your own cup. I feel incredibly wasteful using the Styrofoam cups all the time. But always room to improve. There is an endless list of options to pick one of their recipes or come up with your own. Fruits, nuts, some veggies, protein powders, milks, yogurt and various vitamin/electrolyte additives. Lastly, prices are practically unbeatable. I find the few dollars for a 20oz to be perfectly reasonable. read more

I didn't know smoothie king opened in the South Park area so I was surprise when I saw it. It's located beside The Original Pancake House and behind McDonalds. The inside is a bit small but they have a lot of healthy snacks and bars to choose from. One thing to note is when you first walk in, the registers are located on the other side of the store and not right in front of you. When I went in, they had samples of a chocolate cookie which was really good. I ended up getting the Green Tea Tango. You can choose a fruit to go into the smoothie and I choose mango and it worked out really well. It had a matcha green tea taste to it as well so it wasn't overly sweet. The staff was friendly and informative. They didn't rush me to choose a smoothie and let me take my time in deciding. read more

This is a nice store. It's clean and fully stocked with some goodies. It's located in a shopping center on the corner. The manager is kind and strives to maintain consistency with customers. She cares about her staff as well. A new employee made a mistake on my order. The manager came over with such love and showed her how to to do right. I haven't seen that leadership style in a while. They all apologized even the ones not involved. There was an older guy who was working as well and everyone was a team. So I got what I needed and more a new smoothie place that I know will be great. The staff is friendly and does their best but management needs to revaluate their staffing levels. Only one worker was working -- doing everything from cashier to making the smoothie to handling online orders. We wait 15 minutes to even place an order because she was so backed up. If management values their customers' time, they will do a better job of ensuring staffing levels and wait times are reasonable. read more

I have been in the Smoothie King at least 2-3 times a week for the past month and every time I go in, I am greeted by Jelani with a big smile and "Hello! Welcome to Smoothie King." He has no idea what is going on in my life, but my mother is fighting incurable cancer. I have usually been crying or am just plain exhausted, but he always brings a smile to my face with his BIG smile. The ONLY thing I can get my Mother to eat is the Banana Boat smoothie. She loves it! Jelani and Stella, who I am now on a 1st name basis with now, have been so helpful with my questions. The best smoothie place in Charlotte, hands down. The Sharon Road SK team treats their customers so well - I can't say enough great things about them! Perfect example: I call in my order every weekday and its always ready when I arrive (~5 minutes after I call). Today, I got my smoothie and headed back to work, then dropped it as soon as I got back to my desk. Facepalm. Called back, ordered my regular smoothie (again) and let them know what happened. When I picked it up, they said it was on them and to have a great rest of my day. That, my friends, is what you call exceptional customer service. When i first visited this place it was clean and the customer service was great. They just started charging extra for meal replacements on Fridays. I was told the other locations are doing it also but that is untrue.
