The quality has gone down hill at this location. I've gotten a string of bad smoothies. 2 months ago I got one so bad I turned around and brought it back into the store. They were suppose to refund me, Lauren had also given me a coupon for a free 20oz smoothie as an apology. I waited a few days and no refund, so I finally had to go back in and they were like sorry couldn't find the receipt. I said ok fine just make me the smoothie I paid for and returned, that I was never refunded for. It was slightly bland, but not un drinkable like the last one. I figured oh well for the inconvenience at least I get a free 20oz smoothie and I'll give them another shot. Well no they wouldn't honor the coupon even though the lady at the ground remembered the situation (it was expired but I got it from them like 2 months ago). Smoothies are overpriced & I do not get enhancements. Last few visits my orders have not been completely blended & the store was not busy. Poor customer service, employees are too busy having their own conversations to be bothered with customers. read more

Every time I come here there is an issue, to them having not received a truck so we can't order anything because they have nothing in stock to the speakers and headsets being broken. This place has the worse service! Just a bunch of kids in there and no one taking charge. We literally sat at the window for 10 minutes before they opened it to take our order and they had no one inside. That was on Saturday, today some girl looked at us and walked away. My experience was awful, I will never visit or advise anyone I know to visit this location. I placed an order ahead and was promised that it would be ready at 10:07. I arrived 5 minutes after at 10:11 my order hadn't even began to be made yet both store associates were very relaxed, moving with no sense or urgency whatsoever. I had to be at work so I wasn't able to stay.... I then visited the store after work because I had been calling the store for 5 hours and the manager Mia basically didn't even apologize for how much inconvenience was caused, told me to write my name on a piece of paper and that my money would be returned to my account in 3 to 4 business days . This is the worst smoothie king I have been to. I live very close to this smoothie king so it is super convenient for me to go here. EVERYTIME I have come here (which has been at least 5 times) I have waited in line for 20-30 min for ONE smoothie. The staff is very rude and gives a lot of attitude, their menu sign is broken, and it is very hard to hear through the speaker. The staff at this location is great! Very professional. However, the owner of the smoothie King located on Western Center should sell the franchise to someone who can invest in improving the operation. Over the last year, they've consistently have issues. The speaker system for the drive-thru is usually not working. They are sometimes understaffed. And today, I noticed flies flying around over the refrigerated area where the fruit and the products are stored. This location is an embarrassment to the brand...which I love. read more

I go to smoothie king three to five times a week. Whenever I visit his location, I'm often disappointed in the lack of professionalism, long waits, and less than par customer service. I called an order in for three smoothies. Showed up 30 min later as they mentioned it was a busy day, and my smoothies still weren't ready. I have visited in the past and customer service was the same. I love the flavor and the smoothies but this is ridiculous. It takes an average of maybe 3 min per smoothie(on the high end) but to wait for an additional 10 min on a call in order thirty minutes prior is pretty bad. Management should lead by example at this location. read more

I like this location because it has drive through available and it is close to my work. I was disappointed to see a much longer than normal line during the lunchtime rush today and also see 2 employees out back smoking. Very rude customer service. I went through the drive through and the menu was down looked like they were changing it out so I drove around and entered the building and no one was at the counter. I waited over 5mims for someone to show up and finally I decided to open the door again and close it so that the bell would go off which it did. One of the employees runs from the back cursing and locked eyes with me and said oops. Then another employee comes from out the restroom which is directly beside the register and proceeded to take my order. I never once seen her wash her hands or put on gloves and then I asked the other cursing employee if she was preparing my smoothie cause I didn't see the other one wash her hands and she acted as if I was bothering her then she proceeds to tell her co-worker to put gloves on. She put gloves on but still didn't wash her hands. I then asked for a refund. Would not recommend this place at all. We're in the middle of a pandemic. Really hit & miss depending on who is working. It's a younger staff here which is fine but some of them aren't working very hard! Their speaker is either broken or barely working- they need to fix that !!! I do their reward system & I usually order a large vanilla hulk with peanut butter... it's an expensive drink but good when made right. One girl that works there is AWESOME... I Ordered a smoothie a few weeks ago and waited 10+ minutes at the window after paying for the team member to tell me "we are out of almost everything to make your smoothie." Really ??? I just spent $10 dollars and then you tell me you can't make it??? They need to build a smoothie King in Saginaw. I would go more often as it is a far drive but the closest one to my house. First of all, I was not greeted by staff when I walked in the store. Do not expect staff to be knowledgable of the menu. I asked if they offered a smoothie that does not contain dairy products because I am extremely allergic to dairy. The two teenagers on the Saturday afternoon shift looked at each other like I was an alien from outer space. After contemplating and reading every single ingredient in the smoothies (which took several minutes) the girl behind the counter told me I had to pay in cash because the machines were not working, unfortunately I planned on using my debit card. It would had been nice if staff informed me the machines were not working prior to me wasting my time reading the every ingredient on the menu after a hard exhausting workout. Like any other franchise the consistency isn't always the same , but most of the time it's good, I come here at least once a week , and if it's not on the menu you can ask for something different, I've never had any problems with customer service, and if they ever made my drink wrong they didn't hesitate to remake it. read more

I'm giving two stars instead of one, because it used to better than what it is now, so I know it has the potential to improve. The major problem with this location is that the employees are simply not trained. In a place like this where there is a precise recipe for every smoothie, it should taste the same every single time. The smoothie shouldn't depend on who is making it if they are all following the same recipe. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's inedible, so that tells me that people are simply not being trained on how to follow directions. I also have recently discovered that Smoothie King is deceptive about their "no sugar added" policy. They say there is "no sugar added" but the fruit itself is in a sugar laden syrup, but they say nothing about that. They give the illusion that there is no sugar, but that is absolutely not true. Poor training and customer service and untrustworthy business practices. Would not recommend and have stopped going. read more
