Tried to go there... their system was down and they only took cash... lots of business lost

This review is for inside the airport location near B gates. The service is horrible. Took 20 min just to take our order. Workers were more talking and messing around than tending to customers. When it got to my turn to place my order. The guy didn't acknowledge me for 10 min. Laughing and messing around with his coworkers. Place is a joke... shake was ok. read more

Got a smoothie to sip into for the thirst that never seems to end in this weather. It was my first Smoothie King drink, loved it. I got the pineapple spinach without banana, with a plant based sweetener. It was very tasty and quite filling. They were only two girls and a whole long queue of customers waiting. They washed after every use, took the orders and did everything without time to breathe, very efficient. Something that bothered me was that the water tap was left running, even when not in use- looking at that water getting wasted made my heart pound but they told me its just how it is with that tap, it keeps running.... hmm- .. .. I wish they did something about it I am definitely visiting again for the yummy healthy versions of their smoothies I would start visiting more often. read more

I was a little wary coming to this smoothie king after seeing all the bad reviews but I'm happy to say that my experience was good. I just got an Angel Food but they were able to have it out in less than a couple minutes. The two women working the counter ( I forgot their name's sorry) were polite and friendly. Next time I'm waiting around in this airport I'll definitely hit them up again. read more

Terrible service and attitude, even the smoothie gladiator tastes nasty . I should have read these reviews first, then I can skip this one.

My rating is merely a reflection of my own experience, without blaming anyone: It was clear that this store was severely understaffed. I waited about 20-25 minutes with only three people ahead of me to get my smoothie. During the entire waiting time, I observed only one person working from beginning to end, meaning that he was the only one taking up orders, creating smoothies, washing blenders, and more. He was doing the best he could. To maximize efficiency, he had to leave the water on to get the blenders clean while greeting new customers, and still managed to greet me with courtesy when it was finally my turn. A second person was able to help by starting the blenders and pouring the smoothies to deliver to customers after handling a package containing additional store supplies, which increased efficiency for a bit. But one thing that concerned me the most was that neither of them seemed to care beyond the routines, which wasn't their fault, but rather a bigger question of management, pay, and general lack of support. I am certain that the store management needs to tackle issues such as staffing, culture, training, and motivating employees in general to provide customer service. One thing I will point out was that I bought a 20oz smoothie and despite they made a bit more than the 20oz cup, they poured everything into a 32oz cup instead without filling the cup up all the way to the top, so of course I took it and appreciated the move. I normally do not write reviews for chain stores, but my experience here today warrants some level of awareness that I believe others can use so they can have realistic expectations upon visiting the store for whatever purposes. Please just remember to be nice to the employees there as lack of staffing clearly is taking a toll on them, on top of other possible reasons that we don't know about. read more

Terrible service. The guy took my order then told his coworker he was going to make his personal daily free smoothie first. What a joke

Two employees during peak hours, one employee seemed new and the other only worked the blender as the line grew to about 15 people. Efficiency was low, quality followed. I ordered a large lemon strawberry twist and when the drink was being poured the guy realized it only filled halfway and asked me what I wanted to do. I already waited 20 minutes no time to wait any longer. He asked if I wanted to add ice to bring it to the top. I laughed and took my drink. Don't recommend. I flew into the airport and saw Smoothie King. The smoothie tasted good. However, the staff behind the counter We're not friendly or personable and did not demonstrate good customer service. Although, the smoothie was good the horrible customer service warranted a 2 star rating. read more

Usually, we do not like posting negative reviews; but we feel like this visit was bizarre. Our first visit to New Orleans and we missed the storefront Smoothie Kings, so we thought we scored when we arrived at the airport. We waited for about 5+/- minutes in front of the cash register with no acknowledgment. The reason why we didn't say anything was because we thought the cashier was busy. In reality, we were just being ignored. After finally taking our simple order, we waited for about an additional 24 minutes for the smoothie. One of the employees started making the smoothie, but he walked away in the middle of the process and never came back to finish it. We thought it was odd, but things got more weird. A different employee continued making the smoothie. When the smoothie was finally done, he had trouble pouring it from the blender to the 32oz cup. We observed the employee as he tried multiple times to pour the Smoothie into the cup. The first two attempts were futile. The Smoothie would not budge from the blender container. Both times, he had to return the container to the blender base to blend it some more. The third time could've been the charm. As the employee shook the blender container, the Smoothie dumped into the cup, spilling to the sides. As he struggled to pour into the cup, anyone standing nearby could clearly see that the cup was already full, and he should have stopped and maybe used another cup to scrape off the excess smoothie. Instead, he decided to use his index finger & thumb to clean up the overflow and scoop the smoothie into the cup. After picking up our jaws off the floor, we decided to decline the order and ask for a refund. The person in charge graciously offered to make the smoothie herself, but we politely delclined. This incident took about 37+/- minutes from standing in line to receiving the refund. After observing the entire staff's behavior during the whole ordeal, it looks like there are a couple of things missing: More training & Friendly, Customer-oriented Employees. I hope the owners will take the reviews seriously and review the cameras to improve the service. read more

Bunch of idiots working at this storefront inside the airport. 0 common sense. Look up and greet your customers. Stop looking like you don't want to work there...if so...quit!! Never got my order! When I told the young lady they never made my order she got an attitude! What you mad about ...you the one that forgot the make the order! Definitely won't be back. There is no rhyme or reason as to how they make the smoothies or what order they go in. People that ordered behind me, got their smoothie before me. Stood there for at least 10 minutes waiting. More time making smoothies and less time talking and screwing around needs to be the focus! Talking with their coworkers and someone from the airport seemed to be more important to them than the person spending over $10 for a smoothie!! read more

I came here before my flight and upon approaching the counter, the cashier starts yelling about what she doesn't have. I'm like you don't say hello, good afternoon, nothing? Just rude when people come up to you? She kept saying she doesn't have bananas (which I don't understand because half your menu has bananas in it) and I asked for a substitute. She said no she already has everything sorted and so no substitutions allowed -__- which it should be accommodations since you don't have the most important ingredient. So I ordered a smoothie with bananas expecting it without bananas she had the worse attitude slamming things down, rolling her eyes and I just don't understand what was her problem. I think she expected not to work and deal with the public even though she works at the airport. She made my drink set it on the counter and stormed to the back. They don't take healthy rewards, don't have up to date products (like the watermelon flavor for the watermelon x-treme), or have styrofoam cups ( in case you wanted to save your smoothie for later). Also the customer service was not good either There are better places to go like an actual smoothie king location. read more

Rude rude and some more rude!!! Workers were more interested in complaining about NOT wanting to work and how "they were going to call in" so my order was apparently interrupting their conversations. MY order, similar to the prior order, was MORE money. Still not sure why. I asked for 1/2 frozen yogurt and 1/2 Greek yogurt, she had most ingredients in blender SITTING on prep board when she discovered they did not have Greek yogurt. I said just put in another yogurt scoop, instead of waiting since I had flight to catch, I was trying to help the situation, but that warranted a " and this one has an attitude." Really? Is it possible to give zero stars? At first I thought the employees were having a bad day.... Now I'm finding it difficult to believe that. They were horribly rude and my nutty super grain smoothie tasted like chalky salt. Don't understand how that could happen since I order it at every Smoothie King. I came to return it and hopefully get it remade and the employee was telling me there isn't powder in the smoothie.... but it has protein powder? Anyways, horrible staff and nasty smoothies. read more
